Chapter 329: Reunion of the Club
What is the most essential part of humans or sentient beings? Perhaps in ancient times, people might have believed it was the body. However, it was soon replaced by the spirit, consciousness, or soul, which they deemed as the true essence of being human.
Even if the body is damaged, one can use prosthetics, and even with some deficiencies, one can still survive. But if the personality or mind is gone, it certainly means the end of life.
The formation of personality and worldview is closely tied to memory. If two people swap memories, does it mean that these two existences have also switched?
Ousuna is different from any other time in the past. Although she is just as enthusiastic about fame, status, and power, the once hidden inferiority complex has gradually faded away. She is so confident and certain that she is the destined person of the ancient prophecy, and she naturally stands at the pinnacle of the world.
After encountering each other in the forest that day, she had many dreams, dreaming of stories and legends from the Twilight Era, those miracles floating in the sky, those people in strange attire, and those great achievements in exploring the stars.
One day when she woke up, there was a peculiar bottle beside her bed. The chaotic yet orderly magic seeds within were so magical that they allowed her to advance to Sequence 5 within days.
Not only did her strength improve, but her knowledge also became increasingly extensive. Many things she had never learned before came to her effortlessly. To enhance her strength and satisfy her desire for power, she began forming her own club, and she could use the honor credits from the last competition.
Thus, the ‘Black Veil’ club was established. Initially, she only brought in a few followers she was familiar with, not thinking too much about it.
But soon, she saw many magnificent scenes in her dreams. In the dream, she seemed like another person, with a breathtaking and alluring appearance, manipulating everyone at her fingertips, with the crowd fervently and worshipfully following behind.
Soon, she started learning and dressing up like the other version of herself in her dreams, preparing special clothing and regulations for the club, and beginning to compile her own unique legend based on the knowledge and stories of the Twilight Era.
The development went smoothly. Those club members, under her influence, firmly believed in her and drank the power seeds she provided. Chaos and order danced together, reason and instinct intertwined, and the souls of these members awakened, greatly improving their strength. This further proved her prophecy and legend, making everyone superstitious and worshipful.
As a result, this club began spreading secretly within the campus.
Mysterious club, ancient rituals, special magic, and long-awaited breakthroughs in strength.
When these seemingly exaggerated rumors play out in front of you among your roommates and friends, you cannot help but start doubting the meaning of your steadfast belief.
Thus, more people participated secretly, and Ousuna felt increasingly better.
In just a short half-month, the club members grew from the initial eight to over a hundred, with the trend continuing to expand.
Now, as she walks through the campus, although only a few follow her, with the special power seeds, she can clearly sense the members of her club among the students in the classrooms along the corridors, and those dining in the cafeteria.
And as long as she gives the command, these followers who worship and idolize her will gather around to serve her.
—
Fortress Academy, Black Swan Castle.
In a secluded tower near the eastern side of the castle, three girls were cleaning a room. They were Lolan Hill, Bumansa, and Keti.
“Keti, be careful not to melt the stones,” Lolan Hill said to the red-haired girl next to her.
“I know, Lolan.”
Keti touched her fingertips together, and several flames like snakes quickly flowed through the tower. Since wooden furniture had been moved out, only stone structures remained here.
The accumulated dust on the ground and walls, the stubborn stains, and even the ugly scratches were all swept away by the flames, leaving the stone surfaces smooth. Then, the girl pushed open the window, allowing air circulation, and used the wind to carry away the dust and ashes, instantly making the tower clean and clear.
“You two can go out first.”
Bumansa said to the others, then poured a bucket of water into the room, causing steam to rise and sizzle, rinsing it several times. Afterward, she dried it with the wind, making the entire tower look brand new, no longer resembling its previous state, now clean and fresh.
“Is this cleaning enough, Lolan?” Keti asked.
Lolan turned to inspect and nodded in satisfaction. “Yes, this is clean.”
“This will be our new base for the ‘Black Water Lily’ club. Congratulations on joining us, Keti.”
“Uh-huh.” Keti nodded happily.
“Come, Keti, have some.” Bumansa took out some cookies prepared earlier from a basket nearby and handed them to Keti. Then, the three of them stood on the balcony, eating cookies and chatting.
“Speaking of which, it’s been a while since we’ve all gotten together for activities,” Bumansa remarked.
“Kalvra stayed in the central school building, while the others went to different colleges. Only the two of us and Lily came to Fortress Academy.”
“How about gathering everyone next weekend?” Lolan Hill picked up a cookie, broke it in half, ate one half, and fed the other half to Keti, whose eyes widened.
“Oh, do you have a plan, Lolan?” Bumansa asked curiously.
“Yes, I think it will surprise everyone.”
Lolan took a few cookies and placed them in Keti’s hands, letting her eat them herself. Then, she recalled the materials she found in Emanas’ collection recently and her alchemy plan, which could finally begin.
Not only the [Phantom Soul Elixir] invented during the competition, the [Golden Moon Elixir] during the holiday, or the upcoming [Starlight Butterfly Elixir], these were all elixirs that could significantly enhance individual strength. Previously, she had no good reason to give these to her friends, but now, after winning rewards from the competition, she could take this opportunity to let them take them, so they wouldn’t feel too much psychological pressure, thinking they owed others favors.
“Are these extraordinary elixirs?” Bumansa guessed. Everyone knew about the rewards Lolan won in the competition, and given her invention of new elixirs, it was hard not to make such a connection.
“Yes.”
“What a coincidence. Actually, I recently heard about a club in the academy that holds ceremonies for new members and gives them special elixirs, increasing their strength.”
“At first, I thought it was you, but later I realized it wasn’t.”
“That kind of strange ceremony, it definitely isn’t me,” Lolan Hill said, brushing back her disheveled black hair with the wind and securing her butterfly hair clip, responding softly.
“If it were me, I would hold club activities during the day, which would be much better than waiting until night, just in case someone gets injured.”
“So, Lolan is just too honest. There wouldn’t be that mysterious allure, hehe,” Bumansa laughed.
“But, I still like Lolan like this.”
