The Uniformed Hungry Ghost, its teeth jutting out in abundance, let out a wide yawn, and an overwhelming blaze of pure white fire began to sweep through the narrow room adorned with mirrors.
<Protect us!>
<Please help us escape outside!>
Surrounded by a massive water droplet, the Blue Reaper and Pink Girl were propelled out of the room at high speed.
KWAANG!
Just as they escaped outside, the scorching white flames quickly engulfed the surroundings.
This was the power possessed by the White Hungry Ghost—the flame that could burn objects.
The mirrors, each containing various stories, were caught up in the explosion and shattered into countless pieces.
These were precious records, now completely obliterated and scattered across the floor.
Tinkle. Tinkle.
The sound of glass shards being crushed underfoot echoed through the air.
The Uniformed Hungry Ghost was slowly making its way out of the room.
“Growl growl growl.”
The once intelligent-seeming Uniformed Hungry Ghost had transformed into a beast devoid of reason.
Its uniform burned away, it moved on all fours now, encircled by white flames, and growled ominously.
Then, with both hands wreathed in white fire, it smashed down toward the Blue Reaper.
<A hundred walls of water to block the flames!>
Seeing this, the Blue Reaper poured all their strength into casting a spell.
Though the Blue Reaper’s water magic was instantly pierced, they succeeded in altering its trajectory.
BOOM.
The heavy attack from the White Hungry Ghost struck the building’s floor instead of the Blue Reaper, creating a powerful shockwave that collapsed the floor.
Everything in the building, tormented by the white flames, started crumbling apart.
Walls and floors crumbled, rocks and white flames flew about.
Caught in the sweeping shockwave, the Blue Reaper lost consciousness.
‘…’
Amidst the sounds of fire crackling, glass shattering, and something collapsing, a faint cough could be heard.
In the pitch-black underground heap of rubble, nothing could be seen clearly.
Hack hack.
‘No…’
Where the Blue Reaper turned their head, there lay the Pink Girl, her abdomen pierced with a hole, collapsed.
The water-droplet shield created by the Blue Reaper hadn’t been enough to withstand the white flames.
<Please don’t die!>
<All wounds, please heal!>
<Please don’t lose consciousness!>
<Please don’t feel pain!>
<Please, don’t hurt…>
With tears streaming down their face, the Blue Reaper continued writing strings of words into the air.
But the white flames clinging to the wounds interfered with the Blue Reaper’s healing attempts.
“Haha.”
At that moment, a dry laugh escaped from the Pink Girl’s lips.
“Don’t cry.”
“I’ve reached my limit anyway.”
<No!>
The Blue Reaper shook their head violently.
As she saw this, the Pink Girl gently stroked the Blue Reaper’s head.
“There aren’t any humans in this tower anyway. I was the only survivor.”
“I really wanted to visit the academy someday… to become a great alchemist like Grandfather…”
Haa.
And with that, the Pink Girl exhaled her final breath softly, then slowly closed her eyes.
<All wounds, please heal!>
<All wounds, please heal!!>
<All wounds, please heal!!!>
Without pause, the Blue Reaper kept writing strings of text into the air.
But the Blue Reaper’s magic couldn’t reach the Pink Girl.
‘No.’
‘This can’t be happening.’
The Blue Reaper threw away their staff.
And then, opening their mouth slightly, they began conjuring magic.
[All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!][All wounds, please heal!]
Every time their mouth formed the words, magical energy surged, creating more magic.
Continuously, without rest.
Each time they released this magical energy, it felt as if power flowed into them.
Far above, in the sky,
a radiant force of pure white light descended.
[All wounds, please heal!!!!!!]
With one final silent plea, a blinding flash of white enveloped the Blue Reaper’s body.
Finally, the water magic pierced through the white flames and reached the Pink Girl.
Her wounds vanished in an instant, and the Pink Girl began breathing again, her expression free of pain.
‘Thank goodness.’
The Blue Reaper looked down warmly at the Pink Girl, then slowly turned their head.
“Jjj jjj jjj.”
There, the grotesque Tooth Hungry Ghost, grinning unpleasantly with its fangs, was slowly crawling closer.
‘I never really disliked White Hungry Ghosts before…’
‘But now, I kind of do.’
To protect the Pink Girl, the Blue Reaper slowly stepped forward.
***
From the ruins of the collapsed building, magical energy was emanating.
[10 spears made of water!]
Ten spears of water appeared in mid-air and shot rapidly toward the Tooth Hungry Ghost.
‘This is getting stronger.’
The Blue Reaper’s spells were growing faster and more potent.
But even this strengthened magic failed to reach the Tooth Hungry Ghost, evaporating upon contact with the white flames.
As if aware that the Blue Reaper’s attacks were futile, the Tooth Hungry Ghost grinned, clicking its teeth together.
Click. Click. Click.
Covered in flames, it charged toward the Blue Reaper while clacking its teeth.
[Protect us!]
Although a water-droplet shield twice as thick as usual surrounded the Blue Reaper, the Tooth Hungry Ghost easily broke through it.
Crunch.
Passing by, the Tooth Hungry Ghost bit off one of the Blue Reaper’s arms.
‘!!!’
Click. Click. Click.
The Tooth Hungry Ghost grinned cruelly, continuing to click its teeth as if playing around.
‘It hurts.’
‘It hurts so much.’
From the severed arm, firewood-like droplets coalesced and trickled down.
‘I’m getting colder.’
‘Mom’s firewood is disappearing.’
Their life was fading.
But the Blue Reaper didn’t try to stop the bleeding, using the flowing life essence as ink to slowly inscribe magic into the air.
‘Mom isn’t here.’
‘In some distant dimension, my voice won’t reach her.’
‘But I won’t give up.’
‘Even if my life ends, I’ll protect the Attached Human…’
Using the remaining hand, the Blue Reaper scooped up the flowing firewood from the wound and began sprinkling it into the air.
And speaking to the firewood, they began crafting magic.
As they carved these incantations into the firewood, the amount of power descending from the heavens increased.
It was a familiar sensation.
***
The Tooth Hungry Ghost felt refreshed.
No, the world was brimming with ecstasy.
The moment it consumed the core, everything that bound it disappeared.
It was free.
Perfect.
Though its body twisted unnaturally, it was a blessing.
The feeling of its innards tearing apart was right.
‘Hehehehe…’
It was somewhat disappointing that the natural laughter couldn’t escape due to its distorted body.
But that was fine.
It could express its laughter with its new teeth!
Click. Click. Click.
Taunting the weak Blue Magical Book, the Tooth Hungry Ghost clicked its teeth joyfully.
Click. Click. Click.
Then, a faint golden glow emanating from the Blue Reaper began to grow larger.
‘!’
An ominous presence, akin to a Sun-Eating Spider, radiated outward.
But it wasn’t frightening.
For it was the far more perfected ‘Guardian’!
The Tooth Hungry Ghost fired the white flames embedded within its body toward the Blue Magical Book.
Those flames erased not only the disgusting human traces but also the fallen human and the Blue Magical Book itself, leaving no trace behind.
Click. Click.
The Tooth Hungry Ghost felt a small sense of regret at how anticlimactic it all ended.
But it was short-lived.
Its twisted mind began drowning in anticipation of greater destruction.
Just as it took a step forward, its limbs froze solid.
‘!!!’
Then, a colossal wave of magical energy resonated through the heavens and descended.
[Shatter all legs into pieces!]
“AAAAAAHHHHHH!”
As its elongated, twisted limbs shattered, the Tooth Hungry Ghost let out a terrible scream.
From the distorted mouth of the Hungry Ghost, no proper sound emerged—only the cries of a monster.
Before its eyes, the now-powerful presence of the Blue Magical Book descended.
A slightly shorter skirt.
And a strangely shaped staff.
The Blue Magical Book looked down at the Tooth Hungry Ghost while pressing their lips to the strange staff and releasing magical energy.
[Now just die already!]
Clunk.
At that moment, something inside the Tooth Hungry Ghost stopped.
Simultaneously, the filter obscuring the world disappeared.
And within the twisting, malfunctioning body, the clear sensation of internal organs being torn apart began.
‘Aah, so this is how Core-consuming Guardians went mad.’
‘This must be the fate of a Guardian who has lost its Owner.’
As their vision grew darker, the heavens split open, revealing a colossal form.
At first, it was only a blurry silhouette, but gradually its features sharpened.
Eight massive pillar-like legs.
Eyes that gleamed black like minerals.
And a halo shining brilliantly atop its head.
The “Sun-Eating Spider,” which should always remain on the top floor, began to reveal itself.
To the Tooth Hungry Ghost, it seemed as if the brilliance of the halo had dimmed slightly.

In an interdimensional resort filled with clear, rippling water,
I suddenly found myself surrounded by statues resembling “Mom.”
‘Mom!’
‘Mommy!’
Then, these statues began decomposing into black liquid.
Like slimes, they squirmed and wriggled.
And slowly, they began crawling toward me.
As they approached, they observed me with glowing white eyes and began to resemble me more and more.
They started spewing white firewood onto the ground.
Short human-like limbs sprouted.
Antennae rose from their heads.
‘Mom!’
‘Real Mom!’
Now fully transformed into Black Reapers, they began toddling awkwardly toward me.
Some stumbled and rolled over as they approached.
Others collided in their haste to get closer.
Still others crawled on all fours, inching nearer.
Once they reached my feet, they clung tightly to my ankles and began whimpering.
‘Mommy.’
‘Really Mom.’
I stared dumbly down at them.
‘Again, the kids have multiplied beyond count.’
Grumbling thus, I gathered the Black Reapers and hugged them tightly.
And so, countless Black Statues transformed into Black Reapers, encasing me in a cocoon of Black Reapers.
‘Mom!’
‘Mom, don’t go anywhere.’
‘Mom, stay with us forever.’
‘Mom, you’re warm.’
‘Mom won’t hit!’
‘Won’t eat us if we come close!’
‘Mom is kind.’
As I distributed firewood among the Black Reapers and lay there, something unusual caught my eye in the corner of my vision.
Black Children vomiting golden objects from their bellies.
Could it be…?
Upon closer inspection, they were remnants of the Golden-Mecha-Tyranno Armor.
‘!’
‘Angry!’
‘Mom will punish!’
And throughout the resort, the Will of the Black Reapers resounded.
