Chapter 324

“Fifty-Five Pretty Cure vs. Ash and ‘Eddie'”

Just as Scorpion Lena had angrily rebuked Ash’s behavior of stealing kills, Ash had transformed into Timons multiple times as a mysterious new evil officer, striking down Rei and Erika who had barely purified the Desert Beast. To encourage their growth and deepen their impressions, he also frequently stole the Heart Seeds they obtained after purification.

Heart Seeds are necessary items to revive the Heart Tree. Both the girls and the sprites felt very regretful and distressed after suffering the loss of so many seeds, but were able to re-motivate themselves with encouragement from Ash, who was the store manager at Nasta’s shop, preventing them from becoming apathetic under the continuous blows.

The Heart Seeds, which were believed to have been destroyed, miraculously remained intact in Ash’s hands. How could the girls not be thrilled when they realized this?

“Blossom, Marine!” The two sprites, even more excited than the girls, gathered around, since they were born from the Heart Tree itself. “If we can get back those Heart Seeds to revive the tree, perhaps a third sprite can come into existence!”

“A third sprite! Oh, this changes things! We have to take them back now!”

“But how…?” Lei closed her eyes, took a deep breath, then reopened her eyes filled with determination.

“Timons, what game do you have in mind?”

“It’s simple. This time, the two of you will duel us,” Ash raised his thumb toward the Dragon Desert Beast. He never thought he would team up with this person. “If you win, all the Heart Seeds will be returned to you.”

The hanging seeds jingled pleasantly as they collided due to the girls’ movements.

“But if you lose, I’ll take all your remaining seeds!” Ash’s cold voice plunged the girls into an icy chill instantly. “I’m serious. That includes the Heart Seeds needed for your transformations. If you lose, you won’t stand a chance against the Desert Apostle, equivalent to giving up the Earth entirely.”

The girls’ expressions turned extremely conflicted; such a significant “stake” made it hard for them to decide quickly.

“Oh, if I were you, I’d be clever enough not to agree to this game,” Timons sensed their struggle, scratching the back of his neck carelessly. “Given that your opponent this time isn’t easy, the single Desert Beast might already be hard to fend off for you.”

To prove his point, Ash clapped the Dragon Desert Beast powerfully, producing a sharp sound.

“I see you don’t get along well with who the Heart Flower originally belonged to either. Why not give up on this round and try again next time? Giving up the whole world for one person is unwise.”

“No!” After hearing Ash’s words, the girls didn’t retreat but instead ignited their fighting spirit. “There’s no comparison between a single person and the entire world; both are equally important!”

Their hearts, shining brightly, would never turn them as judges deciding the value of life recklessly. They would save everything!

“And it doesn’t matter who is good or bad!”

Unable to overlook the heart-shaped flower nearly withering inside the monster, they felt deeply pained merely looking at it. “If their Heart Flower is taken, we will rescue them. That is the only thing we need to do!”

“We accept your game.”

Hearing their response, the elation filled with hope as seeds were reclaimed made the smile beneath the mask fully bloom.

I truly live for this!

The battle began!

The Dragon Desert Beast activated one of its elemental energies, controlling water waves toward Erika, but who does she believe herself to be? She is the Angel of the Ocean (CureMarine)!

Feeling the vibrations around her, the girl maneuvered gracefully, evading the attack as if performing a circus act.

“That was close!”

Ducking to dodge the yellow lightning, her trembling gaze followed the current from the water, nearly shocking her like a fried chicken drumstick.

A disheveled leap and somersault avoided a fiery sword stroke, her grimacing expression showing her frustration. In her heart, she couldn’t help but curse the so-called hero, Eddie.

Why is the desert beast so powerful after being deformed? Just stop playing the hero right now!

“MarineShoot! (Ocean Angel Shoot)” Swiftly raising her right hand to draw a circle in front of her, countless droplets of energy released like water arrows flying towards the desert beast. These arrows smoothly pierced through the frozen water waves but evaporated upon encountering a giant flaming sword leaving nothing but steam behind.

As Erika witnessed this scene, contemplating a complaint, she recalled the past vision and her thoughts raced.

“This is quite troublesome—Wait a moment…”

Water conducts electricity, fire can evaporate water—these reactions aren’t mere energy collisions…

Though often labeled foolish by Ash, Erika wasn’t actually stupid. She simply didn’t want to, and couldn’t bother dealing with complex matters, preferring a relaxed approach—similar to another person in some ways.

With her resolve firm, Erika, who was being tracked by lightning, dashed straight toward the desert beast, firing once more directly at its face. As always, the desert beast retaliated with a sword of flames, yet, when the flame clashed with the watery shot containing much moisture, vast sprays of steam hit its own face.

When the desert beast hurriedly tried shaking the vapor off, sensing something high-speed approaching, the defeated beast used water waves instead of a flaming blade, spraying them towards the figure from its mouth.

“Take this—No, take this shot yourself!”

Just before colliding with the water wave, Erika suddenly reversed direction, rolling to avoid the drag despite losing speed.

Her trailing lightning couldn’t adapt nearly as smoothly; golden lightning surged into the water, smoothly climbing until the strong energy struck the Dragon Desert Beast directly, illuminating the sky and electrocuting the creature thoroughly.

“Ping ping ping ~”

Imitating the sound of electric currents, seeing the char-black, staggering desert beast, Erika revealed a wide grin.

“Serves you right, I’m not really silly after all!”

My world outlook is called great wisdom in simplicity!
