Chapter 318

I was slowly reading through the posts on the Little Magician Lumi gallery. Since the movie was still showing, the posts were coming in pretty fast.

– A review after watching the movie today

– Why did the main character do that?

– A bit disappointed with the plot…

I stared at the posts with a deep expression. Some people shared my thoughts, and there were sharp reviews from unique perspectives. Since the movie had been out for a while, there were all kinds of posts. I wasn’t afraid of spoilers either, since I’d already watched the whole movie.

“Ooh…”

I moved my fingers and wrote a post.

[Title: I’m in 3rd grade, and the movie was fun today!]

[I watched it with my elementary school friends, but they said it wasn’t that fun!!! I’m glad you all enjoyed it!]

I tapped away with my delicate fingers. Comments started pouring in.

– I’m in 3rd grade too~ I go to Danpung Elementary~

– Sis! I’m starting elementary school next year!

– I’m in 5th grade, but the movie was fun!

– LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

– Sis, be careful with the kids above. This is a dark space, they might not survive.

– I’ll be in 3rd grade next year, I’ll call you sis!

– I feel old… I’m in middle school now ㅜㅜ

I looked at the comments and said, “There are so many kids my age… and even younger ones too!”

The internet world really has all kinds of people. I didn’t even have internet access before I started elementary school. Back then, I didn’t even have a mobile phone. Foldable phones hadn’t even come out yet.

“Well, Little Magician Lumi is an anime for girls, after all!”

It’s a bit awkward to say it myself, but since it’s about a girl who uses magic, there probably aren’t many adults watching it. Adults wouldn’t have a reason to watch an anime meant for little girls.

At most, maybe parents watching it with their daughters.

I couldn’t imagine a grown man watching Little Magician Lumi. Although, when I went to a store selling Lumi merchandise last time, there were a lot of adults… Maybe they were buying gifts for their nieces? Otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense.

I scrolled through the gallery. There was a mountain of information. It was fun unraveling it all, like unwrapping a gift. Some posts pointed out things I hadn’t even thought of while watching the movie. I wished I’d come here sooner.

Then, a post caught my eye.

[Little Magician Lumi Meetup Info]

[Let’s meet at the cafe in front of the station on x/x at x:00. We’ll watch the movie again, play games, and do various activities.]

My eyes lit up. The location was close. I could get there by taxi in under 10 minutes. I felt conflicted. It was a chance to meet people my age, but was it safe to go?

Still, it was a bit risky meeting up with people from the internet. But I had the ring Boss Kim Sehee gave me. It was an incredible artifact that could even withstand bullets. Physical attacks wouldn’t hurt me. And since they were around my age, there probably wasn’t any threat.

I smirked. It seemed like I should go. The date was coming up soon, and I wanted to watch the movie again. Watching it a second time always has a different flavor.

I decided to go. People who knew Little Magician Lumi were surely kind and gentle. There wouldn’t be any adults, and my worries were resolved. Nothing bad would happen.

The meetup was during lunchtime when the sun was up. With Korea’s public safety, nothing bad could happen during lunch. Crime doesn’t follow a schedule, but it’s not as dangerous as nighttime.

And if things went south, I could just ask for help from the people around the cafe. It’s not like this was some foreign country. I was overthinking it. All I had to do was wait for the meetup date.

What would we talk about? My heart was already racing.

I licked my lips and checked the upcoming meetup date. I set an alarm on my phone. I couldn’t afford to forget.

The cows were devouring the rice straw like they were possessed. As if they were on some kind of drug, the cows flipped their eyes and only ate the rice straw. Even though it was a free-range farm where they could graze on the grass growing on the ground, the cows didn’t touch that grass.

They only nibbled on it when they were really hungry or to stave off hunger. The employees even felt a sense of fear watching the cows. Just how delicious was this rice straw that even these beasts, mere cows, were being so picky?

It wasn’t just humans who were picky eaters. The cows were picky too.

And the cows were growing rapidly day by day. It made you wonder if there was some kind of natural growth hormone in the rice straw. Otherwise, the cows’ bizarrely fast growth rate didn’t make sense.

Kim Sehee smiled as she looked around the farm. The employees were managing the cows. It was worth hiring so many people. Starlight Food had a tendency to hire way more employees than other large corporations.

In Korea, unlike foreign companies, the number of full-time employees at so-called large corporations was small. But Starlight Food was different. Among agricultural companies, it probably ranked first in terms of employee numbers. There was no other agricultural company that employed as many people as Starlight Food.

Of course, compared to other large corporations running car, shipbuilding, or chemical factories, the numbers might seem small, but Starlight Food’s history was extremely short compared to those established giants. It was just entering its first year. Other companies might look at it and say, “This growth rate doesn’t make sense!” and start buying Starlight Food’s stocks.

Anyway, running the farm was going successfully. It was worth spending a lot of money to hire experienced workers. In exchange for their high salaries, they were sharing all their know-how without holding back.

Starlight Food wasn’t just hiring experienced workers; they were also hiring a lot of new employees. In fact, because there was a lot of physical labor involved, they hired more new employees than other companies.

And the new employees, having tasted Starlight Food’s salaries and benefits, worked with smiles on their faces. Now, information about Starlight Food was spreading online.

According to a certain company review site, it was competing for a spot in the rankings of companies people wanted to work for. The workload wasn’t too heavy because there were so many people, and since the company’s history was short, there wasn’t much of the so-called “networking” going on. Kim Sehee had a firm grip on Starlight Food, so there weren’t any major scandals.

“Moooooo!”

Kim Sehee walked around the farm with her executives. Seeing the farm running smoothly on its own was reassuring. These cows were growing rapidly and were essentially cash cows being sold to the U.S. Kim Sehee patted the head of a cow that fearlessly approached her and said,

“Since we’ve successfully raised the cows, let’s move on to the next step.”

After meeting Hana yesterday, Kim Sehee had set a new goal: to make Starlight Food the number one company in the domestic food market.

The goal was to make it so that without Starlight Food, people couldn’t fill their dining tables. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to dominate the market to the point where people couldn’t even eat properly without Starlight Food’s products. After all, South Korea’s agricultural market was small enough for Starlight Food to fully take over.

In fact, it would be strange if they failed.

“We’ve gained enough experience with the farm and have completed hiring veterans, so we can successfully expand.”

Kim Sehee clenched her fist and said,

“Now, let’s conquer the milk market.”

Kim Sehee’s next goal was the milk market. Just imagining how delicious the milk from the cows fed with Starlight Rice Straw would be was thrilling. What kind of milk would it be? She hoped it would be incredibly rich and tasty…

With Hana on board, there was no way Starlight Food could fail. In fact, it could become the most successful food company in the world.

It was as easy as swimming with the ground beneath your feet. As soon as Kim Sehee spoke, the team moved seamlessly to start raising dairy cows.
