Chapter 310. Everyone has only one thought in their head. (1)
Anyway, while suppressing those Kraken-level perverts by slapping them with a 15-day community ban, one by one.
While gathering resources, rebuilding the fleet, and struggling to normalize the gallery.
Around this time, I realized one very crucial fact.
“This won’t work.”
The thing was, to take down Tanhoizer, my original goal, having four times the mercenary force wasn’t even close to enough.
Well, of course, unlike Avalon, Tanhoizer is a base that’s two levels higher.
So naturally, it requires a much larger fleet…
“But even so, when I took down a level 5 base, I had around 50,000 ships with mercenaries. If I multiply that by four, that’s 200,000 ships. Shouldn’t that be enough?”
That was my initial thought.
“…There was a time when I thought that way too.”
The reason I suddenly changed my mind wasn’t just because I snapped out of my delusions.
There were two significant events that influenced my change of heart.
==========
First, an internal incident… if you could call it that.
There was one thing that made me change my mind.
A truly heartbreaking piece of news came to me through Jessica.
And what was that news, you ask…?
“Commander, Commander.”
“…Huh?”
“The strategists at the Strategic Tactics Research Institute have been analyzing hard, and they say our current forces aren’t enough to take down the Tanhoizer Gate Fortress.”
“What.”
That’s right.
The NPCs stationed at the newly built <Strategic Tactics Research Institute> ran simulations on their supercomputers.
And they concluded that my grand plan of “eating Tanhoizer and living a long, happy life” was impossible.
Of course, I wasn’t going to just sit back and accept that.
“What are you talking about, Jess-Jess?”
“Hmm.”
“The Rotten Water Clan and the Magellan Clan weren’t even full forces, and they took it down with less than 400 users, right?”
“That’s true, but…”
“So I’m trying to throw an even bigger fleet at it, rebuilding the fleet and scraping together resources like this.”
“Of course, but…”
As I immediately countered, Jessica nodded.
Then she pushed the data sent by the Strategic Tactics Research Institute’s “ajusshis” in front of me.
Of course, the data was filled with all sorts of formats, graphs, and high-level jargon that made it impossible to read…
But thankfully, as soon as I received the data, an event message-style explanation popped up in front of me.

<Event>
<It seems like a sad ending is coming this way!>
<Content>
<The newly built 'Strategic Tactics Research Institute' has been trying to produce the optimal results for your goal of conquering the 'Tanhoizer Gate Fortress.'>
<Unfortunately, no matter how many times they ran the simulations,>
<Of course, if you were to deploy more troops, the story might change,>
—————————————-
“Ah.”
“Right?”
The message basically said, “Dude, this is impossible, GG.”
==========
And if that was the internal shock, there was also an external one.
Namely…

No need for further explanation.
Let’s just suck some honey from this level 7 base this time, alright? ㅇㅇ
<Temporary Clan Chatroom Link>
If you want to join, just click that and inquire. We’re accepting everyone.
We’ve got about 400 people so far, and we’re planning to go once we hit around 1,000.
Oh, and by the way, to avoid team-killing during the base siege, we made a temporary clan. So if you’re already in a clan, you’ll have to leave it temporarily to join.

-[Oh, what’s this?]
-[Are we finally going to eat a level 7 base? Let’s gooo?]
-[Kiya, boss!]
It was pretty random, but other users tried to eat the Tanhoizer I was about to eat first.
There were all sorts of complicated processes, but to sum it up, I got to watch them fail miserably in real-time.
Even though the number of users had nearly tripled since Tunguska, and a fleet with around 1 million Fleet Points crashed into it, they still failed.
For me, it made me throw away my previous thoughts.
Like, “If I combine the mercenaries’ 4x and my fleets, I’d have around 340-350k Fleet Points. That should be enough to handle it, right?”
==========
But contrary to Icarus’s thoughts, the situation was much more complicated than expected.

Title: But wasn’t Tunguska just carried hard by Latun Water?
Author: Yep
Content: [Image of the gallery situation during the fall of Tunguska.jpg]
A small elite clan with over 80 users in the top 1,000, with 300 Magellan Clan members acting as meat shields while they went wild.
Honestly, even during Latun Water’s peak, they couldn’t pull off a one-man material war like Icarus, but they could still manage a 1:3 ratio.
But the recent defense fleets can’t focus fire due to physical limitations, so they used that to run wild all over the place.
Even with hundreds of users sacrificing their fleets and dozens of top-tier users charging in despite taking damage, 90% of Latun Water’s fleet was wiped out when Tunguska’s fleet was destroyed.
And after that, the remaining defense facilities and surviving fleets popped out, causing even more damage to the Magellan Clan’s main force.
But now, with a temporary clan formed, essentially just to prevent friendly fire, do you really think you can break through that with no teamwork or anything?

Title: If you summarize it, isn’t it just this?
Author: Yep
Content: Is the force trying to eat Tanhoizer really comparable to the force that took Tunguska?
Sure, the force that wiped out Tunguska’s defense fleet was less than 400 in number.
But still, isn’t it a bit risky to try and take a Level 7 Base with just around a thousand people?

As you can see from the reactions of other users in the gallery.
The fall of Tunguska wasn’t just because Latun Water and Magellan joined forces.
It was also because the veteran clan Latun Water tore through the NPC fleet.
And even though they backstabbed, the Magellan Clan abandoned base defense and led their entire fleet to deliver the finishing blow.
Besides that.

Title: But even if it’s a temporary clan, doesn’t it turn into an official clan once you take the base?

Hmmmmmm
Suspicious.

When they said they’d form a “Temporary Clan” to siege the base.
People started questioning why they even bothered killing a clan for over a week if they were just gonna do this.
