Chapter 31

I was surprised by the number of guild applications I received.

I thought my promotional material was really effective when about 100 people applied, but when it hit 500, I started to panic.

The problem is, 500 wasn’t the end.

Eventually, it reached the maximum capacity of 999 applicants. No, actually, people couldn’t apply anymore.

“Was Arang this famous?”

Sunchoo was amazed at the situation where the guild application page was completely filled.

I knew I was pretty famous on the Leore gallery, but I didn’t expect this many people to gather in such a short time.

“How am I supposed to check all of these?”

“Exactly, unnie. This is way too many…”

“Well, there’s one way to handle this.”

I came up with a good idea.

“What method could possibly handle this many people…?”

“There’s a way to test their luck, skill, and mental endurance through countless tries.”

“Arang, does something like that exist…?”

I opened the guild settings and quickly set up the guild ranks.

First, I created a rank for me, Pinkubelly, and Sunchoo with full permissions, then another rank for regular guild members.

Finally, I made a rank with no permissions and set it so that new members would automatically be assigned to it upon joining.

After finishing the guild settings, I started accepting the flood of applications.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

“Ah, Arang!?”

Sunchoo’s eyes widened, and she tried to grab my hand, but I dodged and kept accepting.

I accepted exactly 100 members.

Then, I posted the coordinates of a location I had scouted earlier in the guild chat and quickly announced for everyone to come there.

“Alright, let’s hurry up and go!”

Pinkubelly and Sunchoo, still unable to predict my actions, had question marks floating above their heads.

When we arrived at the survival location where large-scale PvP battles could take place, many people were already there, each with our guild name, Munchkin Cat, above their heads, chatting and waiting.

“Ah! It’s Arang-nim!”

One person spotted me, and soon everyone turned to look.

“Wow… It’s really Arang-nim.”

“Arang-nim, I love you!”

“Thank you for accepting me into the guild!”

It was amazing. So many people came because of my promotional material.

My promotional efforts and my popularity in Leore must be really strong. This is a very satisfying situation.

I gave a 15-year-old-style bow to the crowd.

“Hello, everyone. Thank you for applying to our guild.”

My polite greeting was met with applause and cheers.

“Arang, what are you planning…!?”

Sunchoo whispered-yelled beside me, but I assured her it was fine and continued.

“Due to the overwhelming number of applications, we’ve decided to hold a 100-player survival battle to select the top 3 for interviews.”

“Huh…?”

“Uh…?”

The crowd began to react in various ways to my announcement.

I quickly opened the menu, created a custom room, and sent invites to all 100 guild members in the lowest rank.

“If you don’t want to participate, you’re free to leave~”

I quickly identified those who didn’t accept the invite and kicked them out.

93 people accepted the custom game, and I immediately set up the game and hit start.

“From now on, kill each other~”

Everyone was confused by the sudden PvP survival battle, but the game started right away.

The applicants, who had gathered to become guild members, all disappeared in a flash of light, and our view shifted instantly.

We were now in a spectator space where we could comfortably watch the battle through cameras.

“Ah, Arang, what are you planning…!?”

Pinkubelly rushed over to me in a panic.

“Why? Isn’t this convenient and good? How else are we supposed to handle 999 people?”

“You could’ve just done first-come, first-served…”

“That’s still too many. This isn’t forced—only those who really want to join our guild will participate. Plus, the top 3 out of 100 will have both skill and strong mentality.”

“Wow… Our Arang is scarier than I thought.”

Sunchoo lifted me up.

“Huh?”

She carried me to the main screen, sat down, and placed me on her lap, hugging me like a teddy bear.

“Let’s see who makes it to the top 3.”

I relaxed in Sunchoo’s embrace, letting my body sink into the massive cushion behind me.

Sunchoo started operating the spectator screen, watching the prospective guild members who were now moving around.

“Unnie…!”

“It’s already happening, and Arang is the guild master, so what’s the big deal? We just need to find good guild members.”

“Right. And it’s not just about the top 3—if we see someone good, we can recruit them too.”

“Oh. Arang, you’ve really thought this through!?”

“Pinkubelly unnie, if you see anyone you like, let me know. Got it?”

“Ugh… I don’t know…!”

The PvP 100-player survival battle royale mode in Leore.

Each player chooses their desired class, starts randomly on a large map, and fights to survive as the terrain shrinks randomly. It’s a PvP mode where players gather, fight, and determine the winner.

During the game, players can obtain equipment that provides various buffs and options, hunt neutral monsters for buffs, and level up to grow stronger and eliminate others. It’s a very fun PvP mode.

Everyone starts with no equipment, stats, or skill points, making it a well-balanced PvP mode that many people enjoy.

I’ve even looked up how to play it because it seemed so fun.

That’s why I thought of it for this guild member selection.

In Leore, being a good dealer isn’t just about having a good damage rotation.

Since it’s a virtual world game, having good physical skills, judgment, calmness, and a cool head is also very important.

And I think this battle royale mode is the perfect way to assess that. It’s like auto-hunting, but with a twist.

“Huh? Why is he here?”

Sunchoo pointed at a player who looked like an assassin, actively eliminating others.

“Do you know who that is?”

“Yeah. He was in my raid party recently.”

“Oho… So he’s skilled. But his nickname…”

“It used to be a normal nickname…”

“It was normal?”

“Yeah. It was something like Horolo? But now it’s…”

The nickname of the person from Sunchoo’s raid party was too eye-catching.

[Munchkin Cat]

Arang’s Foot Wipe

The scary part is that it’s not a guy—it’s a girl. Does she have a foot fetish or something? But sorry, I don’t have feet…

[Leore Gallery]

[Middle School Arang Uses Battle Royale Mode to Select Guild Members] [1441]

(Video)

Gallery owner says there are too many guild applications, so they’re using survival battle royale mode to select the top 3 for interviews lol

I proudly ranked 88th lol

Got killed while farming lol

[LOLOLOL the promotional material was already ridiculous, but the guild member selection criteria are even more ridiculous]

ㄴ[Our gallery owner is seriously crazy]

[Middle School Arang is really going insane lol what is she thinking?]

[I saw a lot of famous people, but I couldn’t do anything and just died;;]

[Is Middle School Arang okay?] [841]

Those who went to Mom’s Touch in Songpa-gu know what our gallery owner looks like.

I’m not trying to be mean, but I’m genuinely worried.

If she’s using a wheelchair and has a doctor by her side, how serious is her condition?

Is our gallery owner really okay?

[I really doubted my eyes when I first saw our gallery owner…]

ㄴ[It’s clearly the same as in the game, but the vibe is…]

[Ah, what did you see? Please tell me, I’m going crazy with curiosity]

ㄴ[Be careful with real-life mentions of the gallery owner, seriously, be careful]

ㄴ[Wow]

[But if she’s out doing collabs, it can’t be that serious, right?]

ㄴ[That’s what I’m hoping…]

ㄴ[I really hope so…]

[Next time there’s a collab, I’m definitely going to see our gallery owner lol]

ㄴ[Maybe it’s better not to see her…]

ㄴ[Seriously… stop the red pill…]

[Is this about our gallery owner?] [435]

Yesterday’s Leore announcement mentioned a bug where the stun system doesn’t work properly in certain situations. This.

[Yeah, seems like it]

ㄴ[So there are bugs in Leore after all]

[But it doesn’t make sense. If dealers can’t be stunned, it’s too OP]

ㄴ[For real, then everyone would just try to out-damage each other]
