Chapter 301

The James Space Station had transformed into a jungle-like area due to the influence of the Green Moon.

An enormous structure that once was the legendary James Space Station now lay buried in the heart of this jungle, retaining its original traces.

This was part of the station’s core: the Control Room.

A section of the pristine white outer walls remained intact on the ground, giving it an eerie resemblance to a research facility built within the jungle.

Inside this control room, a man was frantically operating the control console.

“Damn it, damn it.”

The CCTV screens showing the exterior of the control room displayed the shredded remains of his colleagues.

These colleagues had ventured outside with high spirits to gather food and water but ended up as corpses.

The ones responsible for such carnage were dinosaurs that seemed to have jumped straight out of a movie.

They resembled the well-known ‘Velociraptor,’ though these lacked feathers and were unnaturally large, almost human-sized—clearly fakes.

Their appearance was so cinematic it felt unreal.

These fake velociraptors had attacked and killed the group venturing outside, then vanished without a trace.

“Where are you? Where exactly are you hiding!”

As the man muttered and manipulated the console, the CCTV cameras swiveled around, scanning the surroundings.

With a creaking sound, the motor-driven cameras turned, but no raptors were visible near the control room.

The only raptors seen were the dead ones shot by his colleagues.

“Senior, stop. The raptors… seem to have all gone away.”

His junior, who was monitoring the CCTV alongside him, grabbed his shoulder with a despondent look.

Sighing deeply, the man glanced at his junior’s expression, struggling to contain his sorrow, and said briefly, “Sorry,” before stopping the CCTV checks.

Unfortunately, one of the food exploration team members was the junior’s fiancé.

Forcing a smile, the junior tried to start a conversation with the man.

“With those monsters roaming outside, anyone who wasn’t in the control room must be dead, right?”

Though attempting to choose a brighter topic, it didn’t feel particularly uplifting.

“Hmm, maybe some survived.”

The man responded positively despite privately believing survival was impossible.

After all, even the safety zone designed specifically for object-related incidents couldn’t prevent this situation; hence, it was logical to assume most others perished.

Emergency communication antennas, special reinforced walls against objects, numerous CCTV cameras installed for surveillance, and emergency power facilities adapted for space using object technology—all these resources equipped in the control room could only help them wait for rescue.

At that moment, the junior gasped.

“Senior, Senior! Check the CCTV screen!”

Turning quickly, the man noticed the figure of the junior’s fiancé slowly moving on the edge of the CCTV screen.

The chest of the person shown was rising and falling gently, indicating breathing.

‘Too far to see clearly. Plus, only the upper body is visible.’

This was due to the limited field of vision and operational range of the CCTV.

“We need to go out and save them quickly!”

Preventing the eager junior from rushing out, the man prepared to leave himself, grabbing a gun loaded with anti-object bullets.

“I’ll go check.”

Despite the junior’s insistence, it would be meaningless for him to venture out given his injuries.

“There might still be raptors nearby, so stay cautious.”

Armed with the gun, the man carefully stepped out of the control room.

Opening the door leading outside, he cautiously moved forward.

The humid air carried a strong scent of blood.

Corpses were scattered everywhere.

“Why did the raptors leave after hunting their prey?”

No matter where he looked, there were countless bodies.

‘Perhaps we should clear the corpses, but two people might not manage properly.’

The smell of death and blood would undoubtedly attract other predators.

Carefully navigating through the debris toward the location captured by the CCTV, he spotted the torso of a familiar colleague.

The chest moved rhythmically, as if breathing.

‘Could it really be a survivor?’

For whatever reason, the velociraptors had left survivors behind—an opportunity.

Rounding the corner to get a clearer view, the man froze in horror.

“Damn, this feels like a bad movie.”

The fallen colleague was merely a torso—a corpse.

Just beyond the CCTV range, a raptor was tampering with the body.

It seemed the raptor understood how the CCTV worked and used it like bait to lure victims.

‘So this is an object phenomenon. These aren’t ordinary wild animals—they’re too intelligent.’

Making eye contact with the man, the raptor appeared to grin playfully.

Bang! Bang!

Retreating while firing wildly, the man realized the raptor already understood what gunfire entailed.

With practiced ease, the raptor dodged the bullets and hid behind cover.

Attempting to retreat further while firing warning shots, the man suddenly found himself enveloped by the raptor’s massive jaws.

Inside the Golden-Mecha-Tyrannosaurus rocket created by James, I sat anxiously awaiting takeoff.

Strapping myself in, I waited patiently.

However, preparation took longer than expected.

‘Bored already.’

Summoning a Golden Reaper onto my palm, it popped into existence with a cheerful pose.

“Mommy!”

Gazing up at me, it giggled happily.

Bored, I began pinching its soft cheeks, causing it to look curiously around.

“Where?”

Seeming intrigued by the unfamiliar surroundings, it eventually noticed the small chair beside me, mimicking my actions by sitting down and fastening its own safety belt.

I initially thought it was a miniature cinema setup but realized it was a designated Mini Reaper seat.

Even just sitting, it radiated excitement, swinging its legs back and forth while eagerly looking at me.

Was it imagining a fun train ride or a picnic?

Soon, more Mini Reapers appeared under the network’s influence, filling all 100 seats.

With everyone seated, the countdown began.

“Let’s go!”

Amidst the Mini Reapers’ joyful anticipation, the rocket soared into space.

The James Space Station had become a fully-fledged jungle.

A woman hid beneath a strange creature, panting heavily.

“Suddenly dinosaurs!”

Encountering a colossal Tyrannosaurus rex—or perhaps something else entirely, likely created by the Special Object ‘Green Moon’—she trembled in fear.

Its sharp claws and teeth, along with its size capable of swallowing humans whole, made it undeniably terrifying.

Although the creature had moved on, the woman remained frozen in terror beneath her hiding spot.

Eventually, as dusk settled over the jungle, she emerged.

“Thank you for hiding me.”

She smiled sheepishly, petting the strange creature affectionately.

“Mingming!”

Looking at the alien green moon above, she whispered hopefully.

“If only the Gray Reaper comes to visit…”

“Then the Golden Reapers will surely come too!”

As she chuckled silently, Mingming nibbled lightly on her arm.

“Ming!”

Despite the dire situation, her laughter returned, as if Mingming was telling her not to look elsewhere.

***

Endless stars above, a distant yet massive Earth below.

Floating aimlessly in space brought a tingling sensation rarely felt since gaining immunity and ghosting abilities.

Hehe.

Even this mild thrill made the space trip worthwhile.

Behind me floated the Golden-Mecha-Tyrannosaurus rocket that had brought us close to the space station but stopped functioning prematurely.

Using this rocket as a backdrop, the Golden Reapers floated around joyfully.

Spinning and tumbling without proper posture, they playedfully pushed each other.

Every time I looked away, they’d drift off dangerously far.

Feeling slightly drowsy in space, the Golden Reapers seemed unusually lively compared to the sleepy Mini Reapers clinging to me.

Maybe it was the direct sunlight affecting them.

“Let’s go!”

Gathering the playful Golden Reapers, I conveyed our mission.

Our target: the giant green moon at the center of the space station ahead!
