[29th Chapter]
The theme of causing an accident while drunk is used in various places. It often appears as a situation between men and women in Korean dramas, and similar scenes can be seen in foreign movies and dramas as well.
However, even while watching these, I thought how could men and women lose their sense of judgment and have sex while drunk?
I’ve never been that drunk, and there was no one I would want to be with like that either.
Speaking from a position where I can confidently say I drink well, being completely drunk and losing one’s sense of judgment seemed like an excuse to me.
I always thought they just did whatever they wanted under the influence of alcohol and blamed it on the drink.
Until yesterday, that was how I thought.
“…”
As the afternoon approached, I woke up and our eyes met with Yura, who had also just woken up. Before I could judge what happened, memories of everything from last night flashed back, startling us both, and we jumped up simultaneously.
“?”
Thinking about what I might have done last night, I involuntarily let out a short sound. Yura seemed to remember everything too, as she sat up, covering herself with the blanket and looking dazed.
The sky didn’t seem to understand my feelings and the rain clouds that had been lingering all night were gone, letting warm sunlight into the room.
We sat in silence for a moment, both looking dazed, then turned to look at each other at the same time. I put my hand on my forehead, and Yura lay sprawled out.
“I’m sorry…”
“I’m sorry.”
We both sighed, and Yura shifted her gaze from the ceiling to me.
Our eyes met again.
For some reason, despite being drunk last night, we both laughed. Given the situation, there was nothing funny, but we found it amusing.
“What? You slept with twenty men?”
“That’s obviously a lie. You’re such a fool. When do I have time to meet guys?”
Listening to Yura, I realized that none of the stories she told last night indicated having a boyfriend. We looked at the scene of the previous night, tangled in the sheets in the morning light.
Both of us were naked, but there was no shame in showing our bodies to each other given the circumstances.
“Why did you say such things that made others misunderstand?”
Feeling sorry for the misunderstanding caused by my spontaneous words, I stroked her head as she lay there.
“Were you expecting this when you did that?”
Seeing her pout and complain, I grabbed her lips.
“!!!”
Surprised by my sudden grab, she flailed her hands and hit my waist with her palm.
“It hurts!”
Feeling the sharp pain in my waist, I released her lips, and Yura jumped up again.
“It’s because you suddenly grabbed my mouth.”
Looking at her blank expression, I rubbed my waist where she had slapped me.
“You’re beautiful. Why?”
“…I need to wash up!”
Although we spoke in a snappy tone, neither of us felt hurt. Instead, I felt like enjoying this situation more. Yura got off the bed and walked to the bathroom in the nude.
I watched her go until she disappeared, then pulled off the covers completely.
Wondering what to do first, I noticed it was noon and I was hungry.
“I should order food.”
In the living room, I saw my clothes drying on the floor where I had left them before drinking last night. Thinking they were okay to wear, I opened the bathroom door where water was running.
“!!”
Yura, startled, crouched and looked at me suspiciously.
“I’m going to order food. What do you want to eat?”
“You should knock if you’re going to open the door!”
She scolded me for not knocking before opening the door, even though everything had already been seen. From now on, I’ll make sure to knock.
“So, what do you want to eat?”
“What are you ordering?”
“I’m asking because I don’t know.”
“Order something that will help with a hangover.”
I closed the bathroom door and sat on the sofa, starting to browse delivery apps for food options. Since it needed to help with a hangover, it had to be a soup-based dish. After much consideration, I saw Yura come out of the bathroom after washing up.
She wrapped herself in a large towel and wiped her hair with a small towel, noticing me sitting there.
“Did you order?”
“No, not yet.”
She glared at me for not placing the order until I sighed and sat down beside her.
She leaned close to see the phone screen and I felt the presence of her large chest through the towel.
“Order some stew and rice. I’m hungry.”
“Okay.”
After finishing the order, I went to take a shower and noticed Yura still sitting there. She seemed to have something to say and we fell silent again.
Clearly, Yura wanted to talk about last night. I also thought it was best to clarify this matter.
“…”
“Let’s just forget about it?”
Before I could speak, she interrupted, surprising me with her unexpected words.
I don’t want our relationship to be ruined by this incident. Although I wasn’t that naive, I needed time to think.
It wouldn’t be right to just pretend it never happened since we’ve already crossed the line as friends.
Considering the future, I couldn’t hastily agree to her suggestion.
“…I’ll wash up first.”
“Okay.”
I hadn’t fully organized my thoughts and wanted to discuss this once I felt more relaxed. While showering, I continued thinking about Yura.
Even though last night’s events were due to alcohol, pretending it didn’t happen felt wrong.
The most uncomfortable part was maintaining a friendship without acknowledging what happened.
After showering and putting on the clothes I brought, I saw that the meal had arrived and Yura was setting the table in the living room.
“You came quickly.”
“Come and eat.”
I sat next to her and helped set the table. We started eating in an awkward atmosphere.
The silence made me feel like I was going to choke, and Yura finally broke the silence.
“What are we going to do?”
Yura suggested forgetting about it, but I delayed my response. Now, it was my turn to suggest something.
“…It doesn’t make sense to pretend it never happened and continue as friends.”
Putting down my spoon, Yura seemed tense and drank some water. I waited for her to finish and prepare to listen to me.
“We did it. Should we continue like this?”
This was my best attempt at an answer, but Yura seemed dissatisfied and frowned, resuming eating.
Clearly, she wanted something specific from me, but I couldn’t reach that point.
“Don’t you have a girlfriend?”
Yura paused eating, setting down her spoon and bowl. In this situation, talking about whether or not I have a girlfriend, I swallowed hard and replied.
“No.”
Though I technically had a girlfriend, I said no because it was the only way to respond. Yura stared blankly at the food on the table, then turned sharply to look at me.
“I don’t have a boyfriend either.”
“Yeah, I know.”
I knew this because I had mentioned it before. Currently, I don’t have a girlfriend, and saying I slept with twenty men was a lie. So, it’s not that I don’t have one, but rather that I haven’t had one so far.
“How… do you feel about dating?”
Her voice sounded uncertain as she spoke, but I caught every word. I put my hand to my forehead again.
There’s Yubin. This feels awkward, but it’s not really about Yubin that I’m concerned.
Because Yura knows I don’t have a girlfriend, it makes sense for her to bring this up. Perhaps Yura wanted me to initiate a relationship, but I didn’t think that far.
Meeting multiple women isn’t a big deal universally. Exploring numerous planets with different civilizations, one can experience diverse values. Within a planet, there are many countries, but some values are shared across the board.
One of those values is marriage, with concepts like monogamy, polygamy, and polyandry existing in the universe. On Earth, monogamy is predominant, although there are exceptions. Exceptions exist everywhere.
In my former home planet, there were no clear standards. Technological advancements led to varied social changes in different countries, resulting in diverse values like monogamy, polygamy, and polyandry. The choice was left to individuals.
Personally, I don’t care which side it is. I believe everyone should make their own choices.
But here is Earth. I can’t impose my former planet’s values on people here.
Yet, I couldn’t clearly answer Yura’s question about how many people I meet at once or lying about it.
She probably wanted to hold onto me, but I felt that meeting her in such an ambiguous state would cause more harm.
The problem was that refusing her would cause her distress, so I couldn’t say “no.”
All I could do was delay my response.
“Can I think about it a bit?”
“Yeah…”
Noticing her dejected state, I felt more concerned.
“It’s not because I dislike it.”
Yura lowered her head, listening to me, and lifted her head again. Her eyes regained energy quickly.
“I want to be sure about my feelings too. I understand yours, but let’s take it slow. There’s no need to worry.”
I stroked her head, looking at her intently. Delaying was the only thing I could do, but it was the best response I could give her.
One night wasn’t enough to consider us in a relationship, and that bothered me.
To me, Yura is a friend, and after sleeping together, we definitely became closer. That’s why I had to think deeply.
Yura was still uneasy, but she respected my opinion and nodded after a moment of thought.
“If you say you don’t want to be friends or can’t be friends anymore later, I’ll kill you.”
With a somewhat threatening warning, we resumed eating. I smiled and said, “That won’t happen.” I didn’t want our friendship to end either.
After eating, we cleaned up together. We removed the dirty sheets and sprayed water in the bathroom, stepping on it together. We joked around and eventually got scolded again.
After putting the sheets in the washing machine, we tidied up the room.
“Hey, you’re doing well.”
“Really?”
Hearing Yura’s praise, I couldn’t help but smile. Her words boosted my ego, and seeing my reaction, Yura smirked.
“Do you like hearing that so much?”
“Of course. No man dislikes hearing that, whether he’s a first-timer or experienced.”
No matter how times change or which planet you go to, this is universal. No man feels bad or intimidated by praise for his performance.
“…How did I do?”
Yura’s first experience was last night, and she felt good, but she was curious about how I felt. Despite this, Yura, known for her cheerful personality, blushed when asked about her first time.
“You? It was great.”
I expressed my honest feelings. As someone with experience, she trusted me, and I felt good manipulating her body according to my will.
“Really? Okay.”
Embarrassedly, Yura finished cleaning the room, and I watched her before finishing the cleanup myself.
By the time everything was settled, the sun had set. Having slept in late, I quickly noticed the sunset and prepared to leave for home, putting on my shoes at the entrance.
“Should I tell them to stop working at the cafe tomorrow?”
“Yes, you should. How else can I work? I need to find another job.”
“Alright. Get some rest, and see you next time.”
As I reached for the doorknob to leave, Yura grabbed my sleeve. My hand stopped, and I turned to look at her, noticing a hint of nervousness in her eyes.
“Are we meeting again next time?”
Her voice trembled, possibly fearing this might be my last visit. Knowing how to reassure her, I gently stroked her face, slowly approaching and kissing her lightly.
It wasn’t a passionate or explicit kiss, but it calmed her down, and she looked at me after we parted.
“See you next time.”
I waved one last time before closing the door behind me.
As the front door closed, Pink, who had witnessed the departure, felt her face flush, matching the color of her beautiful pink hair. She rushed to the bedroom and buried her face in the pillow.
Unable to explain the emotions surging inside her, she rolled on the bed, kicking her legs and pounding the mattress several times.
Gradually calming down, she slightly raised her head, recalling the kiss she just shared, the cleaning session, and everything that happened last night. Blushing, she gave a shy smile.
On the way home, fatigue suddenly overwhelmed me.
Even though I had some hangover relief, not sleeping well the previous night made me eager to go home and sleep.
“I’m dead.”
Standing in front of the door, I felt like I was missing something until I entered the house and realized what it was.
“…”
Yubin, sitting on the sofa with her arms crossed, slowly turned her head to look at me standing at the entrance.
The door slowly closed, making a locking sound. Only then did I regain my senses.
“Where did you go? You’re back now.”
Yura said there’s no team HunterKiller meeting today.
This means Yubin is also not attending the meeting.
And since Yubin is not at the meeting, the only place she could be is at my house.
The red eyes that usually felt warm and bright now felt unusually cold. After not contacting me since the message about drinking last night, I could only think of one thing.
‘Great.’
