Chapter Eleven: Erika’s Day of Torment
The battle ended quicker than expected.
After punching Rei in the chest and leaving her momentarily unable to stand, two silk threads quickly stuck her hands together, dragging her across the ground before甩ing her into a tree. Continuous strands of silk then wrapped Rei up like a large zongzi, suspending her from the tree with only her dizzy head and shining ponytail exposed.
“I can’t move!”
Unable to use her strength or her hands for skills, Rei was trapped on the tree.
“It seems we still have more work to do.”
Ash shook his head. It seemed that the growth of the two Pretty Cures still had a long way to go.
“Let Rei go now!”
Eagerly, Erika saw Rei’s plight and immediately attacked, but she was sidestepped by Ash and caught by her wrist. Ash then grabbed the girl and began swinging her around, centrifugal force making her eyes dizzy and spinning as she lay on the ground, beginning to roll instinctively.
“So dizzy… so dizzy… sky is upside down, ground is upside down… blossom has three petals…”
When Erika lost her combat effectiveness, two extremely resilient silk threads bound her limbs behind her back. After placing Erika-like fish on his legs, he rummaged through his pocket.
“Ah!” Feeling something moving on her body, Erika screamed despite her dizziness: “What are you touching?! Pervert! Get away!”
“What are you yelling about?” Ash took the heart seed from his pocket and patted Erika’s agitated head, then wiped his hand on his thigh.
“What are you doing with the heart seed? Let us go!”
Rei, hanging on the tree, anxiously shook her head left and right, seeing Ash collect this heart seed obtained after defeating the Desert Beast.
“You also said the same things before.”
“Huh?” Rei noticed useful information in Ash’s words. “Have you seen other Pretty Cures? Could it be CureMoonlight?!”
On hearing Rei’s words, Lily, who was about to rush out, pressed herself back, staring at the Spider Knight.
“No, she’s pink like you, but not like you at all.”
A social butterfly who isn’t scared of anything and a shy, timid introvert; the contrast is so great one might doubt which one is the real pink.
“How about this? You get a chance,” Ash patted Erika’s head again, raising one finger.
“If you guess the name of this Pretty Cure correctly, I’ll return the heart seed and let go of this idiot.”
“Huh?” Although it was a good opportunity, Rei was dumbfounded. After all, how could she guess someone’s name?
Seeing Rei’s dazed expression, he gave a hint: “Her battle name starts with an ‘H’.”
“h…” Under the intense stare of Erika’s eager, gleaming eyes, Rei’s brain spun to the limit and tentatively said a name.
“Which… CureHappy?”
“Wrong. This sounds like a name from Shimaru.”
“Then, then—”
Rei closed her eyes and said another name. “CureHoney?”
“She should smell of eggs, ketchup, and chili peppers, not honey,” Ash said under his mask.
“Alright, you lose.” Ignoring the dejected Rei, Ash focused his gaze on the squirming Erika. “It’s time for punishment.”
Ash lifted the petal blue skirt to reveal smooth underwear, then lightly touched the girl’s bare back, gliding along her silky skin.
“Upon closer inspection, your battle outfits are much more provocative than Mana’s and others.”
“That’s none of your business!” Although still stubborn, the uncontrollable flush on her face revealed their true thoughts.
“What do you want to do?!”
Hearing Erika’s fearful voice, Ash sneered, positioning her head down on his legs with his hand raised high.
“What am I going to do? It’s time to teach you a lesson!”
*Smack*
The crisp sound was enough to awaken any mischievous child’s memory encoded in DNA.
“Yah—”
Pain shot through her back, eliciting a scream from her throat.
“It hurts, it hurts! Why are you hitting my butt?!”
“The last time you dared to hit me in the face,” Timons joked, his spider web mask appearing demonic and sinister. “I’m going to return every bit of humiliation!”
Withdrawing his hand, drawing an analogy to his old dad’s style, he landed another strike firmly.
“It hurts! You’re hurting me!”
“I’ll make you remember your dignity as a Pretty Cure!”
Another smack, and the pain and humiliation from being hit by the enemy made Erika’s face flush, tears already forming in the corners of her eyes. Angered, she looked behind.
“Don’t look at me like that. It seems I didn’t hit hard enough. Apologize!”
*Smack*
“No, no! I won’t apologize to unreasonable adults!”
*Smack!*
“You’re even hitting me harder! Even my mom never did that to me!”
“If you don’t learn, you’ll never become a useful Pretty Cure!”
Another smack brought forth a loud cry, causing listeners to feel sorrowful.
“Don’t! Rei, don’t watch!”
Faced with her comrade’s desperate pleas, Lily turned her head away in shame, and embarrassed eyes tightly shut, Rei could only see a sliver of it through the corner of her eye.
“Were you wrong now?!”
“Mmm… mmhhh! No!”
Never imagining being hit on his knees, Erika sobbed loudly, crying uncontrollably.
“I won’t apologize to people like you!”
Struggling against tears, she shouted: “I will never apologize to people like you, it’s clearly your fault! Pretty Cures will never bow to twisted hearts!”
