Tenth Chapter: Tsukikage Lily’s New Daily Life
“Hey Lily, want to go home together today?”
“Yeah, have you heard about the new dessert shop that just opened up on East Street? Do you want to check it out with me?”
“Nah, I still have some stuff to do.”
After organizing her textbooks and notes for the day, Lily politely declined her classmates’ invitations once again.
However, the conversations about her didn’t stop even after she left. A few girls gossiping about her watched as she walked away and started talking behind her back.
“Have you noticed how Lily has changed recently?”
“Yes, remember when Lily was always so cold before? Now she seems much easier to talk to.”
Gossiping is an inherent human trait, especially about someone as mysterious as Tsukikage Lily.
“I heard that last weekend, a man in a motorcycle came to pick her up. Isn’t that strange?”
“Lily is from a single-parent family, so it’s not possible to be her father… which means!”
The group said in unison.
“It must be her secret boyfriend!”
“If that’s true, then Lily spending so much time somewhere else must mean she’s seeing this boy, right?”
“Oh my, I never thought someone like her would have a boyfriend! But still… uh, I’m super excited over here!”
“I wonder who he is? Shouldn’t it be someone…”
The voice behind her attracted Lily’s attention. It was Blue-haired Girl, a tall girl with blue hair. She approached Lily, smirking as she recognized similarities between herself and Erika, and hugged Lily tightly from behind.
“Gotcha! You’ve been so busy lately, Tsukikage; finding you isn’t easy anymore~”
“In fact, I am very busy. You should know this, Momoka.”
Momoka Umi knew about Tsukikage Lily working at Nasta Coffee Shop, as she was her close friend. In fact, worried about her friend, she even visited several times personally. Unfortunately, her impression of the coffee shop wasn’t great due to the lingering negative feelings from those visits.
“Going to help that unreliable manager again? Lily, you were only hired as a waitress, yet the coffee shop depends on you every day. That’s just too much… it’s unfair!”
Momoka, upset about the situation, felt angry for her friend. But Tsukikage Lily didn’t share such feelings.
“That’s not fair to say. Actually… I’m grateful to the manager. Although sometimes it’s tiring…” Lily smiled slightly. “But if I can help him, I’m content.”
When Yashu first opened a coffee shop in the Hope Flower Market, Lily volunteered to help without any compensation. She eventually accepted a high salary reluctantly after Yashu’s persuasion.
To quote words from Yashu: ‘Your family needs a pillar of support, and it’s tough for your mother alone. Besides, you’re soon heading to university, and it’s all about finances now. So accept it, or else…’
He even claimed he would feel guilty if refused.
“Thanks so much!”
“I think you’re more focused on that ‘Nasta’ place than the owner himself. Who is this boss?”
Momoka jokingly teased, not loosening her grip around Lily’s slender waist.
“Don’t do that, Lily being someone else’s wife… at least waiting until after college.”
“Haha, Momoka really likes being petted.”
In response to her friend, Tsukikage Lily did not need to play the role of the cold-hearted person anymore. Two high school girls were playfully roughhousing under the shade of branches, creating a picturesque scene in the campus.
“Lily, you wouldn’t secretly date someone, like the rumors say, would you?”
“How could that be?” Lily laughed, gently tapping on the white forehead of Momoka.
It was almost time to leave to avoid being late. While there would be no penalty in salary, it would surely be embarrassing if the manager found out. Therefore, she truly didn’t want to give them that chance.
Although about to say so, something forced her to stop.
Hiding behind the trees, Lily observed a silver masked figure whose face and voice remained unclear.
“You, apprentice officer, don’t butt in on your seniors’ battles!”
Facing Asha who stepped forward pulling out his belt, Scorpion Lena appeared somewhat irritated, feeling that her spotlight had been stolen.
“But, senior, you’ve already had your desert beast taken care of by the Cures. Isn’t it my turn?”
“Tch… I’ll go now, don’t get caught by them!”
Lena’s irritation was quelled by one sentence, while the man casually waved off his hand and threatened them arrogantly.
“Givemetheseed.”
“No way!” The transformed Lei and Erika tightly clutched the heart seed they had barely obtained, fearful of losing it again.
“Takingcareofallofyouisalsoapartofmyjob.”
“[SPIDER]!”
Ash pressed the stamp in his hand, launching it skyward, before stepping aside with arms spread wide, the imprint falling precisely onto the belt.
“henshin!”
Lily kept a close watch on the masked figure, afraid of missing any detail or scene.
“[KamenRiderDemons]!”
As the DJ music ceased, Kamen Rider Timmons appeared before the two Cures, prepared for battle.
“The game starts.”
Seeing the battle take place, Lily bit down on her soft lips in frustration.
“This person must be the new enemy of the recently mentioned Desert Apostle.”
Indeed, he uses none of the powers of the Desert Apostle, but as a human being, he willingly submits to being their henchman!
Thinking back to the difficult battles against the Desert Apostle, where humans turned into cruel desert beasts because of their hearts stolen, and remembering Kuron’s sacrifice, Tsukikage Lily felt incredibly angry.
Unforgivable, whoever this person is, he must never be forgiven!
Resolved deep within, she vowed to unveil the person’s true identity someday.
The battle quickly intensified, Lei and Erika, despite their recent exertions, continued to stand firm against Timmons, albeit visibly struggling as his fighting skills seemed significantly heightened, each hit causing them pain.
The disparity was evident!
Being a seasoned former Cure herself, Lily could clearly see the vast gap in both combat experience and skill level. Every attack made by the two girls was dodged or blocked, while every move from Timmons accurately hit its mark.
This battle seemed as much a dance as it was a fight.
“Cures, keep going!”
