The Fourth Disqualified Demon
“What a foolish Erika, getting caught in the enemy’s trap!” Seeing her partner suffering because of her impulsive actions, Caffrey became immediately worried. “Blossom! Hurry up and help Marine!”
“I know, but!”
In the one month they have battled together as partners, Lei has stopped running away out of fear during battles with enemies. However, growing up as a gentle person who never quarreled with anyone, she still finds it hard to get used to this whole concept of fighting.
Usually, it’s Erika who uses her proactive nature as the breakthrough in their battles, but now that she was instantly taken down by the enemy, Lei was left alone to fight.
Lei looked at the large white cocoon rolling to Ash’s feet and felt on the verge of tears, contemplating how in the world could she save Erika.
As Lei hesitated, Ash observed that this pink Pretty Cure is the complete opposite of another confident pink he had previously encountered.
CureBlossom wouldn’t mindlessly charge like tied-up CureMarine; she understands how to use her wits in battle and achieves decent results. However, when facing tough challenges, her inherent shyness and timidity make her appear hesitant, which is clearly demonstrated in the fierce battles.
For example now, standing against an enemy transformed from Ash, she only focused on defense and bearing the brunt of attacks all along until her doubts about the battle kept her from moving forward, causing a break in her teamwork with her fellow fighters, thus watching Erika get beat.
“Mmm….!”
Feeling pressured under the gaze of several pairs of compound eyes on the helmet of the strange spider-armored man, Lei remembered the nightmare where the spider lustfully looked at her, the fear intensifying, her tiny feet trembling slightly.
“Are you scared? That’s way too early.”
Before Ash could say more, another voice came from his waist belt.
“Umm…, Ash…Boss, isn’t it a bit unkind to bully girls like this?”
“Maybe we should stop. Oops!”
Striking the belt mercilessly, the screen displayed a disorganized mess of points before revealing an eye with a somewhat hurt expression.
“There’s no distinction between men and women during a battle, and don’t underestimate what comes next. Kayin, if you wish to stay by my side, you need to learn and follow orders!”
“If you dislike it, feel free to leave.”
“I’ve come to accept, I’m not complaining.” This time, the eyes on the screen seemed even more dejected. “Who’s the demon here…”
You might look so great, but I am your demon heart, and I can only run with certain conditions!
“Umm…”
A weak voice emerged from one side. Ash and the attention of the eyes on the screen turned towards Lei who was timidly raising her right hand.
“Umm…, are you friends? If you are, one cannot treat friends in this unreasonable manner…”
“Blossom—!” Seeing Lei muster her courage to speak, Cifrey was stunned with shock, almost going crazy as she repeatedly rubbed her face with small hands, her expression filled with alarm.
“What are you doing, Blossom, lecturing such a terrifying enemy?”
“But…” Lei naturally understands that her behavior seems exaggerated. However, observing Ash being mean to the talking belt, she suddenly thought of her relationship with Cifrey.
One must cherish their comrades!
“We can’t ignore this.”
The brief moment of silence on the belt was followed by the screen drawing a grateful GIF image.
Leveraging the power of the Sin Seal received from a lottery ticket, shapeless demon “Kayin” was born from Ash’s body with an innocence unlike any traditional demons.
Previously, it only vaguely knew that Pretty Cure might be the opponents it needed to fight alongside Ash, occasionally recognizing Pretty Cure through Ash’s eyes and memories.
Until today, having directly encountered the true Pretty Cure, its impression completely changed.
“This is Pretty Cure, the legendary warrior… No, the legendary healer!”
Indeed, heroes are the best.
Ash didn’t say much more, he just turned his head and shot a sharp web toward the courageous girl.
“Whoa!”
Seeing the girl scream and hurriedly dodge, Ash nodded his head, his covered mouth curving upwards slightly.
Such daring in lecturing at this moment, I must’ve misjudged her. She’s not as useless as she appears.
On the contrary, such bravery fits a legendary warrior!
“PrettyCureBlossom, the Angel of Bud, right?”
“Yes, yes!” Lei instinctively bent her knees and lowered her head with both hands. Realizing she wasn’t in a classroom anymore, she quickly concealed her facial expression, her cheeks burning hot.
“I can’t expect this not-so-bright individual to learn,” muttering after hearing his words, the massive white cocoon twisted even more violently, Ash walked towards her with a peculiar heaviness.
“Just don’t end everything too quickly, or…”
The chilling words of Ash made Lei freeze, almost shivering with fear.
‘Ash, are you really going to do this? I doubt it…’
“Are you really my demon? Of course, I’m just scaring them,” sensing his voice becoming panicked, Ash’s tone had a hint of arrogance but also dissatisfaction.
However, I only claimed not to kill, not to suffer pain equivalent to death.
“Why, your actions don’t seem like those of a demon?”
‘No way!’ “It’s not true!” Hearing Ash’s comment, the demon, communicating within Ash’s heart, shouted out loud, exclaiming, “I am an authentic demon, no matter how evil you are, I’ll be even more evil!”
“Yes, yes,” Ash responded, always coming across as though he’s trying to placate a child.
“No matter what, I’m a Pretty Cure!”
Suppressing her fear, Lei bravely charged forward.
Punching! Blocked and slapped back, she hit the opponent with her fist, the heavy blow almost knocking her out immediately.
Kicking! The punch missed and got caught, spun in mid-air, then smashed into the ground, spinning in confusion. Her dignity took a beating face-down in the dirt.
An extraordinary counterattack, headbutt! But the dodge failed, and now her head was being held, trapped in the embrace.
“Wait, wait! Let go of me, please!”
Held tightly with her exposed back muscles rubbing uncomfortably against the armor, especially with the stranger touching her face constantly, unbearable shame rose in Lei, her face turning red, struggling fiercely.
“Stop wriggling; it’s troublesome,” cupping the young girl’s smooth cheeks, the sensors on the glove faithfully reported the rapid increase in palm temperature. Without wasting further words, Ash meticulously wiped the dirt and dust off Lei’s face and hair, revealing her cute face again.
