Chapter 264

Chapter 264. The Resource Supply Event is Sweet! (4)

And the next day, and the day after that, the gallery was flooded with all sorts of posts.

The vibes are amazing.

Am I finally gonna have a squad of 10 superhumans?

Comments:

– [It’d be hilarious if there’s a corpse inside]

– [Oh, so this kind of event exists]

– [Please post a follow-up]

Title: Ah, f***

F***, it was a dud.

My ‘Dorothy’ got injured and is hospitalized now, f***.

Some people ended up with a dud in the extremely rare “Hibernation Capsule” event, giving the gallery a good laugh.

Title: Excuse me, but I got mine in one try

Author: ㅇㅇ

Content: [An image of a green-haired girl coming out of a hibernation capsule]

So, is this good?

Comments:

– [Die]

– [You toxic piece of crap, die]

– [The reactions are brutal]

– [It’s an Ancient Reinforcement-type character, pretty versatile in any situation]

– [The performance itself is just meh. If you already have a solid superhuman lineup, just use her for quests]

– [Ah] (Author)

– [The author was grinning like an idiot trying to flex, but immediately got humbled after hearing how bad the character is]

—————————————–

Some users managed to get superhumans I couldn’t, especially after literally “grinding” the interior of the ship early on.

Of course, among them were those who tried to flex but ended up being mocked for pulling a weak character.

And amidst all this, a bunch of users popped up asking if they could claim that massive wreckage as their own…

Title: For the guys trying to claim the ghost ship, read this.txt

Author: Chupacabra

Content: [An image of a toad staring straight ahead]

That thing’s trash.

Some people think of the “Ancient Empire” from the last event when they hear “ancient ship,” but this ship is even older than that empire, and frankly, its performance is “trash.”

In an era where even tiny shuttles can travel at superluminal speeds, this ship can’t even do that.

So, can’t we use its size as a forward base?

Anyone who’s tried attacking it knows that even though it’s ancient, the external armor is severely corroded.

It’s planet-sized, but a single cruiser could sink it with all its weapons in no time.

And before that, no user currently has a ship big enough to stop and salvage something that massive LOL.

The biggest ship users have right now is probably the Anomalocaris owned by the current 10th-ranked player, and even that’s less than a quarter the size of this thing.

Comments:

– [So, in summary, “You can’t use it anyway,” right?]

– [Yep] (Author)

– [Honestly, when I first stepped on the external armor, it felt like stepping on a satellite surface, with the metal crumbling and breaking beneath me. It was shocking.]

– [Couldn’t 10 battleships salvage it?]

– [Nope, battleship output isn’t enough. You’d need dreadnoughts or something like that to even attempt it.]

– [I see.]

—————————————–

For users who just loved big ships, not big guns, this was a merciless dose of fact-based violence.

==========

And on the eve of the long-awaited event’s conclusion…

—————————————–

Title: I’m back alive.

Author: David

Content: [A POV image of superhumans bowing to him at the entrance of the wreckage]

It was f***ing exhausting.

Those damn monster bastards.

Comments:

– [How did you survive?]

– [Well, I guess I survived, but how did you get out?]

– [Didn’t this guy say he had no communicator?]

– [David too;;]

Title: How I Survived and Came Back.txt

Author: David

Content: [Image of a toad smoking a cigarette]

Nothing special.

While wandering around, I found some tools and stuff. Since I’m immune to damage beyond a certain level, I used them to smash through the mobs one by one.

In the process, I found some work suits and put them on.

There was also combat gear with basic implants, so I used that too.

I couldn’t implant them into my body, but the combat gear itself had auxiliary functions.

Anyway, after barely managing to gather that equipment, I went into the damn nest and smashed the queen’s head with a crowbar.

The rest of the mobs just melted into a mess on their own.

Of course, some didn’t melt, but my adjutant confirmed I was trapped and sent a group of superhumans, so after that, I survived comfortably.

Comments:

– [You used basic implants, huh?]

– [How did you eat? You were trapped for almost a week.]

– [The internal power system was maintained, probably because of the monsters, so I scavenged freeze-dried food.] (Author)

– [You actually survived this;;;]

– [How did the boss do this alone, damn it?]

– [It’s not entirely impossible. Originally, high-performance superhumans could completely exterminate this event in just a few hours, as shown by the ranking seniors.]

– [But this was done by the commander alone;;;]

– [That’s the problem, yeah.]

—————————————–

A commander, trapped without a communicator, unleashes his hidden talent as a warrior.

Using basic implants and tools, he spends a week alone inside a massive ghost ship, showcasing his abilities as a superhuman survivor.

It was truly a spectacular week, filled with a variety of intense moments.

==========

Anyway, after spending a week like that.

Finally, on the last day of the event.

—————————————–

<Time remaining in the ‘Supergiant Wreck’ zone: 1 hour 4 minutes 20 seconds>

—————————————–

The wreck, which I had grown somewhat attached to over the week, was about to leave our zone.

“Commander, Commander.”

“What is it now?”

“We’ve almost finished gathering resources from the wreck, about 98%?”

“That’s fast.”

After leisurely eating the breakfast prepared by the base chef, I nodded at Jessica’s timely report.

“So, how much resources have we gathered so far?”

“A ton! 510,000 minerals and 40,000 rare resources!”

“Oh…”

Realizing we had gathered more resources than expected, I felt a big smile forming on my face, just like Jessica.

‘Sweet.’

Of course, I couldn’t get the detailed resource situation during this meal.

I headed straight to the command room to hear a more detailed report.

As soon as I sat in the commander’s seat, our black bunny Jessica immediately provided the detailed resource acquisition status.

“The resources we obtained from the wreck are 510,338 minerals and 40,087 rare resources.”

“Hoh.”

“And we also got about 5,000 gold from what seems to be the captain’s safe.”

“Ooh…”

Listening to Jessica, I calculated the additional resources we had gathered over the past week.

“So, this week alone, we’ve gathered 650,000 minerals and about 100,000 rare resources?”

“Yes, exactly that much.”

“…Impressive.”

Realizing that with the remaining two weeks, we could gather over 2 to 2.5 million minerals and nearly 1 million rare resources by the time we start the base siege.

I felt really good, thinking that this was more than enough.
