Extra Case File 25 Glistering Wild Flower
“Who… are you referring to?”
“I pay homage to you, and that invisible ‘mask’, and the beautiful lady behind it, and her beautiful heart!”
She had heard similar thanks countless times, even overly enthusiastic words, but whether it was admiration or gratitude, Wild Flower took it as respect shown for what people felt towards the existence of Pretty Cure, thus not considering it extraordinary and didn’t take it seriously.
But today, for the very first time, she was explicitly named and given such sincerity.
Such things had NEVER happened before!
Since becoming the Pretty Cure at 12 until she became 22, known as the Great Wild Flower, she hadn’t experienced a single love affair despite being hailed as a lonely legend in Hozen City.
The world’s savior, a legendary warrior, who defeated innumerable Final Monsters alone with a sword, and protected Earth tirelessly for 8 years!
Our hero, savior of the world, CureYell (Cheering Angel), Wild Flower!
Her mind went blank now, stopping all functions.
On the other side, Ash failed to pick up on Wild Flower’s overcharged mood; all previous worries vanished from him as he engaged her; he only felt an incredible sense of euphoria!
Because there before his eyes stood this dazzling light, a noble mindset, what he yearned for!
Despite not knowing if CureYell is male or female, and regardless of her burdensome pain, to him this was trivial, like the madman in Arkham Asylum not caring about who the madman under the bat costume is; he certainly wouldn’t be rude enough to probe questions like that, roughly.
For him, without a doubt, just the hero Pretty Cure was reason enough.
“I never expected we’d meet here,” His voice grew increasingly agitated. “Maybe I traveled to this world just to meet you!”
Finding someone so brilliant, it truly leaves me susceptible to romantic inclinations!
As Ash spoke, the crowd around them stopped their cheers and rivalries; everyone, including the confused Wild Flower, watched each other.
Even Himizuki and company hiding in the bushes rose immediately, their gaze fixed on the oblivious, seemingly indifferent man dressed in red.
“Hold on! Hold on!” His strict expression relaxed, his rosy cheeks turning bright like apples, steam visible as it arose from his head.
What was this? This must be a confession! How uncomfortably affectionate… how strange! My heart races so quickly!
I’m not a young girl anymore; I understand what’s happening here!
Why say something like this now? What kind of development is this?!
Passion, wind.
Romance, flower beds.
Such fitting words for a warrior—well, at least that’s what Ash thought.
After all, here he was, joyfully dancing with this radiant lady amidst the flowers.
“Anyway, you’re just mocking me!” With regained composure, Flower pointed at Ash’s victims. “Before saying anything strange, apologize to those you’ve tricked!”
“Until then, the truth will reveal whether I was right or wrong.”
Ash glanced over, causing Yu, supported by him, to shiver, though fear in her eyes was mild compared to determination.
Ash had observed this change in the woman’s demeanor, and made his conclusion.
“What do you mean…”
“This chance encounter isn’t significant; to set up future scenes, let’s leave it at that.” Ash turned serious, bowing properly before Yell. “Next time, I’ll communicate my intent to you again, dazzling Yell.”
Without waiting for blushing Yell’s reaction, Ash fired into the ground, raising huge clouds of dust. By the time the girl brushed past the dust, the red figure had vanished, leaving “Au revoir.”
“Damn!” Yell stomped angrily, breaking the tiles. “What is he trying to say?”
Venting out, Wild Flower remembered she wasn’t alone and noticed the gathering stares. Embarrassed beyond measure, she repaired the damage with her Power of Tomorrow and left hastily.
Strange—to be confessed to by an enemy, or maybe a friend—on their second meeting. Ah, my stomach hurts… I should see Doctor Ash for some medicine.
Excluding Ash, others also looked puzzled, but a few had twinkling gazes.
This incident sparked a new faction, [cureyellxtimefire], in the ongoing debate over Time Fire’s status.
Regardless, their hero once again defeated evil, even though the events in between are unrelated to most lives.
Of course, recent happenings remained vivid to those present, and they spread stories eagerly, but details can shift when passed differently. Objective and subjective differences contribute greatly.
“Wild Flower won decisively against the red guy,” someone told others triumphantly. “His remark likely confused her! And a confession? How arrogant! If she felt for him, he would’ve been forced to kneel—”
“Wow! That’s intense!”
Others disagreed,
“No, that’s not right… Time Fire did defeat the Final Monsters, so he can’t be that bad…”
“If he battled CureYell, it’d be disastrous, helping the Final Monstre!”
Red-faced, Wild Flower swept her bangs aside and hurried to Ash’s clinic.
