Chapter 218 Dust Has Not Settled
After the last bat disappeared from sight, the surroundings gradually became quiet.
Wit and Robert exchanged glances before they hurried out of the secret room.
The sudden appearance of the bats left them somewhat flustered, but the terrifying self-detonation of the vampire was alarming. They were concerned about Dark’s safety.
However, when they stepped out of the secret room, Dark’s golems had already rushed ahead, affectionately gathering around his feet.
The high intelligence displayed by these golems made Wit feel very envious.

Wit took a deep breath and only leaned back against the wall and sat down after seeing that Dark was not seriously injured.

Robert still had energy; he looked around and asked Dark, “Are you okay?”
Dark replied, “Nothing serious.”
Robert: “Then what about the vampire? Will they come back?”
Dark pondered for a moment and cautiously said, “It’s better to be careful. We should leave the secret path tonight and inform the professors as soon as possible about the vampire sighting. Yes, Professor Shylph should still be at school.”
Robert quickly nodded, “That’s exactly what I was thinking!”
Then they both turned to look at Betty and Scott who were walking out from another direction.
Although Dark already knew that two people were with Wit, he had not seen their faces until now.
He was more familiar with Scott, but he only saw Betty’s face once in the infirmary and didn’t remember her much anymore.
Scott had always avoided him, and now there was no escape, he reluctantly said, “Demon, why are you here?”
Dark narrowed his eyes, connecting the dots with the mirror in the small secret room, he concluded, “Perhaps we entered the secret path for the same reason.”
Scott was surprised, “Do you have a treasure map too?”
But Dark turned to Betty and asked, “Who is this senior student?”
Betty confidently replied, “Hello, I’m Betty Murray from the Mana Academy. You can call me Betty.”
Dark: “That won’t do. Senior Murray, how did you encounter the vampire?”
Betty shuddered, “I don’t know. We were just staying overnight here, no one would think there could be a vampire in the secret path! I mean, until Wit screamed, we realized we were ambushed.”
At this point, Scott suddenly changed expression and trembled, “Wait, I heard that after being bitten by a vampire, one becomes a vampire’s servant. Then, what about Wit…”
Everyone’s gaze instantly focused on Wit.
Wit trembled all over, subconsciously touching his neck, only to find that the wound on his neck had already healed, leaving only a barely noticeable mark.
This actually scared him even more: “Is this true?”
Betty hurriedly comforted him, “Not necessarily. Vampires only turn their prey into blood slaves during their embrace. If it’s just regular feeding, it won’t happen.”

Before leaving, Dark went back to the dragon’s nest and indeed found that the hidden sanctuary used for treasures was showing signs of imminent collapse.

The five of them witnessed the disappearance of the secret room and then set off on their journey home with mixed feelings!

Scott and Betty also had average stamina.

Dark shook his head, “Not yet. He turned into a swarm of bats and escaped into various parts of the secret path.”
Carrian crossed her arms, propping her chin in her hand, pondering, “Escaped by turning into bats? Typical vampire tactics. However, don’t worry. I’ve already notified your Professor Shylph, she will be here soon. If it’s true, perhaps you’ll get extra points.”
Dark was surprised, “Can we get extra points for this?”
Carrian smiled, “Discovering potential dangers within the secret path and successfully repelling them, why not get extra points?”
Dark: “But last time…”
Carrian: “Didn’t get any?”
Dark: “No.”
Carrian shrugged, “Perhaps you can look forward to the opening ceremony of the new semester. Altair likes to accumulate things and then choose a grand moment to ignite them like fireworks. You know, ever since that incident, she hasn’t returned. Hmm, did I let slip something?”
Dark solemnly said, “No, Sister. I didn’t hear anything.”
Sister Carrian patted his shoulder kindly, “If you feel tired, you can lie down inside first. I have sleep-inducing potions… well, use them after reporting.”
Before she finished speaking, a gentle breeze came in through the window.
Professor Shylph arrived with the wind and immediately said, “Let’s report now.”
