Chapter 187. Selling an S-Class Superhuman, Never Used Before. (1)
The only silver lining here is that the commission fee isn’t upfront.
Of course, at first, I was about to lose my mind, thinking, “What the hell?! You’re charging me 240 gold when I only have 100 gold for the commission fee!!!”
But then…
“Hmm, Commander? It seems like the commission fee here is on a pay-later basis.”
“Huh?”
“When you receive the actual transaction amount of 1,200 gold, they deduct 240 gold from it.”
“Hmmmm.”
The warning message was just written in a weird way.
In reality, they take the commission fee *after* the transaction is completed, not upfront.
Of course, just in case, I did check the forums…

Title: The Auction House Notice is Straight-Up Misleading
Author: Anonymous
Content: [Screenshot pointing out the auction house notice]
<Auction registration fees are non-refundable.> <- This part here.
This doesn’t mean they take the fee from your wallet upfront.
The registration fee is deducted later when you finalize the payment for the item you won in the auction.
It’s all taken out together at that point.
I’m posting this because newbies don’t use the auction house because they don’t know this, and it’s noticeably reducing the player traffic.

- [Thanks...!]
- [Why does a Korean game use such an ambiguous system like old foreign games?]
- [For real, no idea why they do this lol]
- [I reported this a while ago, but they still haven’t fixed it.]
- [The devs are slacking again.]
----------------------------------------
In conclusion, the devs just did something dumb, and that’s why the notice is so confusing.
But it works the way we thought—they take the commission fee after the sale.
Feeling somewhat relieved, I focused back on the task at hand.
However, there was one major problem...
The auction house system was so ridiculously complicated that it felt like deciphering a code. I was completely overwhelmed.
Jessica, who’s twice as smart as me, started fiddling with the trade window instead.
Well, to be precise, Jessica could only *view* the Commander’s UI or the forums.
She couldn’t directly manipulate anything, so I had to act as her hands.
Anyway, considering my rapidly declining intelligence in this area...
Jessica’s IQ: 250. My IQ: 50.
Combining our perfect 300 IQ and my hands, we began our struggle to navigate the situation.
After much effort, we finally managed to list the two superhumans from our base on the auction house.
----------------------------------------
<S-Class Superhuman Axion, Level 60 for Sale>
<Details>
<No physical defects, no negative traits, selling because their favorability is too low.>
<Weapons included, no defensive gear.>
<Starting Bid: 1,000 gold>

<S-Class Superhuman Letty, Level 55 for Sale>
<Details>
<No physical defects, no negative traits, selling because their favorability is too low.>
<No weapons, no defensive gear.>
<Starting Bid: 2,300 gold>
—————————————-
“As expected, support characters are like nobility. Even though they’re both S-Class, the starting bid is more than double.”
“Well, Letty has a close-range support trait, which limits the starting bid, Commander.”
“Fascinating.”
Aside from suddenly engaging in human trafficking, I decided to check out what other users were up to in the auction house.
And just then, I stumbled upon an active auction for another user’s S-Class superhuman…
—————————————-
<S-Class Bansha for Sale, One Arm Mechanized>
<Details>
<Equipped with a hidden blade and hand cannon on one arm to compensate for lack of attack power.>
<But the kid got a bit messed up after the prosthetic attachment.>
<Also, I installed implants all over to use mechanical equipment, so their sanity is a bit off.>
<But hey, at least their brain...>
“Just inject some drugs and give ’em a good rub, and they’ll be useful.”

**<Transaction Opinion Section>**
– “Teacher, do you often hear that you don’t have a human heart or something like that?” (Reply 250)
—
**<Auction Starting Price: 1,710 Gold>**
**<Current Auction Price: 3,031 Gold>**
—
“Whoa…”
Seeing the final price nearly double, I started to think that even our prisoners (?) or goods (?) could fetch that kind of price.
Despite Ignis and Partia taking turns on a 24-hour surveillance shift…
“Wow, we could get at least 2,500 or 3,000 gold each, right?”
“That’s right, Commander.”
“With the money from selling those two, we might even save up enough gold to use the full-fledged trading system.”
“I agree, Commander. Who knows, maybe we could even buy a battleship with just the gold from the trading system.”
Jessica and I were happily daydreaming while looking at the trading system where we listed the two superhumans.

But just one day later…
—
**<Auction Cancellation Notice>**
**<The auction for 'S-Class Superhuman Axion, Level 60 for Sale' posted by the Commander has been canceled due to lack of bidders.>**

**<Auction Cancellation Notice>**
**<The auction for 'S-Class Superhuman Letty, Level 55 for Sale' posted by the Commander has been canceled due to lack of bidders.>**
—
“Huh?”
Instead of the expected “gold influx,” Jessica and I received only cancellation notices because no one participated in the auctions.
Naturally, I wondered what went wrong and tried to see if anyone left a message or comment on my post, but…
“Hmm.”
“Did you find anything, Commander?”
“No, the post is completely gone.”
Unfortunately, since the auction was canceled, it seemed like my post was deleted entirely.
With no way to check the comments, I decided to take a moment to ponder.
After some deep thinking, I ended up browsing the Wiki tab and forums as usual.
If that didn’t work, I planned to casually ask in the global chat.
But after some digging, I finally understood why no one bid on my auction…

**Title: Must-Read for People Listing Sub-SS-Class Superhumans in Auctions.txt**
**Author: ㅇㅇ**
**Content: [Screenshot of searching for only ‘S-Class’ in the auction house]**
“Even if you list pure S-Class, no one buys them. Unless you have insane luck, S-Class is overflowing, so it’s obvious, right?”
[Image of an auction with various additions to an S-Class.jpg]
“At least this much is needed, think about it.”
—
**Comments:**
– “Hmm, I guess so.”
– “Unless someone is really desperate for superhuman firepower right now, they won’t buy it.” (Author)
– “Honestly, even I wouldn’t buy anything below SS-Class unless it’s really special.”
– “Plus, since adding stuff to S-Class has become the norm, newbies who don’t know better list them at ‘real market prices,’ which makes people even less likely to buy.”
– “This is so true;;”
—
“What? I have to modify or equip them…?”
I was utterly baffled by this unexpected problem.
