Chapter 182. The Performance is Good, The Performance is. (2)
But those wild thoughts were only temporary.
“Hmm, the performance is decent.”
I also remember that two out of the three S-class characters were pretty good in their own way.
As for the SSS-class cat girl named ‘Smeragi’… she was probably a character added in an update after I stopped playing the game.
Considering the power inflation that happens over time in any mobile game… she must have ‘something’ better than the top-tier characters I used to play with.
So, since I couldn’t quite remember the exact performance of those two S-class characters…
While the three were unconscious, I decided to open the wiki tab to look up their detailed descriptions.
And first, I needed to confirm if my memory was accurate.
So, I decided to open the wiki tabs for the two S-class characters first.

Title: S-Class Close-Range Superhuman Axion Description.txt

Our game’s male character who doesn’t discriminate between genders when it comes to eating.
A typical close-range combat character.
He doesn’t care what kind of spear he uses, so Chinese players often cosplay as Lü Bu or Guan Yu and use him.
But his personality is a bit like Golden Sun, so he often gets beaten up for flirting with other female superhumans.
Performance-wise, he’s just mid-tier S-class, so newbies can just use him casually.
Even veterans can use him if they want.
After all, before you got possessed, you might not know, but after being possessed, you’re all desperate for superhumans.
Comments:
-[You said to write about performance, but you just said to use him casually, lol.]
-[But Axion is really just a solid, good character. (Author)]
-[Not wrong, plus he looks cool, right? A tough guy wearing beast hides.]
-[Hehe, Axion oppa, chit-chit-party.]
-[???]
-[He’s a Lancer.]
-[Go kill yourself, Lancer.]
-[Lol.]

Title: S-Class Close-Range Support Letty Description.txt

Seems to be from some kind of religious order.
Different from the usual ‘religious order’ you think of, like Partia or the lewd nun Pashtura from Trigger Happy.
You can tell from the concept art that the symbol of the order is different.
Anyway, usually, ‘support’ characters just stay holed up in the ship, spamming buff auras.
But this one is unique because she actually follows superhumans around on the front lines, giving real-time buffs.
What does that mean? Her whole point is to give additional buffs to close-range superhumans while they fight.
If you deploy her alongside a regular support character who spams area buffs, the performance of other superhumans increases by about 20%.
Just keep in mind that her buff range is limited to the ‘area’ of the ship she’s in.
And her body is hot, lol.
A close-range combat nun with a slim, well-toned figure is rare, you know.
So, check out these hot images before you go.

Comments:
-[Why are you the only one looking at the images?]
-[Show me the images you saw…!]
-[Only the second image is hot, you gay.]

“Hmm.”
“How is it, Commander?”
“Just as I remembered, nothing seems to have changed much.”
Fortunately, the performance evaluations in the newly written wiki tabs seemed to match what I remembered.
Axion is just your typical laid-back spear-wielding character.
And Letty is, as I remembered, a character who provides additional buffs in close-range combat.
I nodded slightly and immediately decided to look up the wiki info for our fifth SSS-class superhuman.
And shortly after, I found the information I wanted on ‘Smeragi.’

Title: SSS-Class Close-Range Smeragi Description.txt

This isn’t an existing character but a new one added during the update process.
From the possession point, it’s been about a year.
Even though they’re wearing a hood, you can tell by the cat ears sticking out that they’re from the Xenobia Empire, known for their space Kanfu.
Anyway, detailed settings can be judged later by reading the Smeragi settings post.
In terms of performance, surprisingly, for a new character, they tend to lose in head-on strength battles against most superhumans of the same level.
So, at first, people who used them called Smeragi trash and even gave them the weird nickname “Ssumegi.”
But the thing is, Smeragi isn’t a character meant for head-on strength battles, right?
They’re not there to just charge in and sweep everything; they’re more like an assassin-type character.
If you look at the stats, Smeragi has relatively low defense compared to others but ridiculously high attack power.
The idea is to infiltrate enemy ships, quickly take out the command and defending heroes, stun them, and finish them off.
If you charge in like other characters, yelling “Ehehe,” you’ll melt because of their weak body.
Of course, if you have a proper support superhuman with aura buffs and close-range buff characters, you can pull off some bruiser-like plays.
But is it really easy to use an assassin as a bruiser by mobilizing two additional superhumans?
So, if newbies get Smeragi, they should just stick to assassination and not mess around.
And outside of combat, like most close-range superhumans, they don’t have fleet buffs or anything.
Oh, but if you deploy Smeragi in your base or ship, there’s a 10% increase in the chance to block other superhumans’ infiltration or assassination.
—
Comments:
– [The last performance seems a bit sus.]
– [So, you’re saying this sus cat character assassinates while blocking the enemy’s assassination?]
– [Smart, bro.]
– [What about pure combat ability? Even if they assassinate, if the enemy is super tanky and survives, won’t they get wrecked?]
– [Unless there’s a level difference of 20 or more, most superhumans will get taken out.] (OP)
– [Of course, there are characters who can tank Smeragi’s assassination burst or create such situations.] (OP)
– [Honestly, if a character can tank Smeragi’s assassination burst, they’re either ridiculously OP or it doesn’t matter much.] (OP)
– [Ah, got it.]
—
“Hmm… an assassin.”
Just from the wiki tab’s description, it seemed like a decently performing character.
Plus, that unique ability… or should I say buff.
A character that reduces the so-called “infiltration success rate to the base” isn’t something you see every day.
Although the downside is that their body is a bit weak…
“Well, that’s not a big deal for our fleet.”
Instead, we have plenty of sturdy “tanks” to cover for that.
Even Ignis, who looks like a glass cannon, actually has a balanced offense and defense, capable of playing the bruiser role.
Pair them with Partia (ver. muscle), who’s like a living tank, and you’ll see insane damage output.
With one SSS-class and two S-class characters, we can now handle the “higher difficulty” quests from the monster side.
“Ah, so sweet.”
I felt my brain’s happiness circuits going wild, thinking everything would be smooth sailing from now on.
But unlike my burning happiness circuits…
Unfortunately, the reality I faced was full of regrettable issues.
And while there are many things to mention, if I had to pinpoint the most important one…
—
“Do you think we’d surrender to you?”
“Even if our Commander abandoned us, we wouldn’t abandon the Commander.”
“Hmph, if we get the chance, we’ll escape and return immediately.”
—
These three captives, probably because they’re prisoners, have way too low friendliness.
