While the other Violets were on the phone, we continued our discussion.
Let’s assume we exclude our friends from our plan. How can we send them far away?
“Should we send them somewhere else?”
“Let’s send them on a trip!”
That’s right! The romance of school life comes from school trips!
Unfortunately, I missed out on that opportunity because I enrolled in a bad academy, but perhaps the Violets could fill in for those memories of school days.
“Let’s go outside the academy city! There are great places to travel nearby.”
“Cascadia Island!”
We had been working them too hard, so it might be nice to give them a break.
We also needed to cool our heads a bit before the great undertaking.
“What about training?”
When 65 asked, 1123 replied.
“We’re already doing it!”
As she said, the Violets were busy conducting various training exercises without rest.
We engaged in mock battles on deserted islands and in dungeons. There were even battles happening within the Violet Network.
“Yay! We’re flying!”
As we shared our sights, we saw a formation of wingsuits soaring through the blue sky.
In front of the wingsuit formation was a large canvas spread wide vertically. The canvas had various-sized windows drawn on it.
The Violet flying at high speed collided with the canvas target.
“Ugh!”
– Boom!
When the Violet Guided Bomb exploded in the air, the target board burned and fell.
“That missed. It seems like a control error. Don’t forget, there’s a lot of wind around tall buildings—just like now!”
“It’s tough…”
Meanwhile, gunfire echoed constantly from one side. A buoy floating in the sea was swallowed and disappeared by a massive column of water.
“Hit!”
As the successful shout echoed, the Violets cheered.
Even though it was just training, the artillery drill using real ammunition was indeed thrilling.
“This might be usable in actual combat with a bit more practice.”
631 said confidently.
We continued discussing during our break. The topic was infiltration methods. Everyone agreed that the experiences gained from the artillery firing training and wingsuit flying training would be a huge help for the upcoming operation.
“Our main battlefield will be in the city. Their buildings and bases basically come equipped with anti-aircraft defenses.”
A Violet began analyzing. According to the data we had quietly gathered, the main facilities of theirs were equipped with ferocious anti-aircraft turrets to guard against attacks from aircraft and flying monsters.
“But we have wingsuits, parachutes, and Hibernating Violets. We can quickly penetrate the blind spots of their anti-aircraft guns.”
“After the infiltration, each of us must turn off the electricity at our designated locations and blow up their vehicles and facilities.”
Another Violet added to the plan.
“What will we do after the infiltration? We don’t have blueprints for every building. It’ll be complicated, so we need to quickly handle our targets and withdraw.”
Another Violet suggested.
“Speed is key! We should do it stealthily; we shouldn’t need to kill too many. Let’s distinguish between who we need to kidnap and who we need to kill. Unnecessary actions will just cause complications.”
65 chimed in.
“Right, we also need to collect data! If it looks like decent intel, we should grab it and put it in the inventory. The longer we stay, the higher the risks, so time management is crucial.”
As soon as we finished talking, we started simulating how the actual operation would happen in the Violet Network.
While the simulation was repeating, 427 spoke up.
“The essence of the fight revolves around two things: how effectively we hit their major facilities and factors. And…”
“Just how much we ruin their reputation.”
901 continued, clearly recalling Uncle Kalia’s advice. Uncle Ospri’s warning could not be taken lightly.
“What if, by some stroke of luck, we end up killing the Chairman? Then what happens?”
“Well…”
As 568 asked, the Violets began the simulation through the network. A small city model emerged within the network.
The Violet representing the academy city screamed in shock.
“You destroyed the academy? No matter the reason, they are surely dangerous terrorists!”
The Violets from the three major clans discussed with serious expressions.
“Those pesky mage bastards have fallen, so surely we are next! They are disrupting order, so we must strike first!”
The Federal Army Violet commanded in a stern voice.
“There’s no doubt they are a threat to the regime! Pursue them!”
How many would welcome a heavily armed organization that suddenly appeared and destroyed a major clan?
They might even treat us as a new harmful pest, taking away their money and power.
The Adela family and smaller clan members would provide some support fire, but that alone felt insecure. We might have to go into hiding.
If the Violets were fish, the public was a lake.
When we set our mind to it, we could live rough in a dungeon or wasteland, but it was much more comfortable to blend in among people.
“In the end, we need to secure a solid justification. Simply exposing their reality and spreading the data won’t suffice.”
We pondered how to create a justification.
Whistleblower to the media or filing complaints with the Inspection Bureau were already on our minds, but that alone wouldn’t be enough.
As we were actively discussing, a Violet came up with a great idea.
“How about showing it directly? A picture is worth a thousand words!”
“Ah! That method…”
We discussed the schedule with the Violets who had been sold to the research lab. Other Violets ordered cameras.
“Which broadcast channel in the academy city has the most viewers? Let’s look into it.”
“Learn how to use online streaming sites as well. It’s important!”
While we were busy preparing, I cautiously brought up the topic of travel at the dinner table.
“Hey guys! You’ve been working hard, right? Let’s take a break for a while. What do you think?”
When I contacted Adela about the escape plan for our friends, her reaction was very favorable.
She was busy handling school work and family problems so she couldn’t help directly, but she said she’d arrange for a villa to borrow from the family.
I suggested going on a trip without telling all my friends.
The eyes of my teammates turned toward me. The expressions of my friends were somewhat dark.
“A trip? Didn’t you say you were going to do a terror act at the academy? What’s going to happen to that?”
Lucian seemed deep in thought, twirling the pasta on his plate with his fork. I replied.
“It’s not terrorism, it’s a revolution! Our plan is underway, but we’re still in training, so it’s a bit awkward to do anything right now. And everyone has worked hard! We should take a break and have some fun.”
I spoke while introducing various places for the travel course. They were all locations outside the academy city.
Irene, who was listening to me, cautiously asked.
“So that means we’re allowed to participate in the plan, right?”
“Um… If you’re willing? Are you all really willing to join? If so, raise your hands.”
When I asked, all three of my friends raised their hands without hesitation. Followed by three other team members who slowly raised their hands as well.
“There’s no way I’m missing out on helping the Violets!”
Daphne said, and the other friends nodded in agreement. Seeing that made me very happy, but at the same time worried.
“Everyone’s so enthusiastic…”
The sight of it made our Violets seriously worry about how to persuade their friends to stay behind.
“Let’s try to persuade them, and if that doesn’t work, let’s just leave them at the travel spot and start secretly!”
“Is that really okay?”
Our training and preparations went smoothly. The trucks were modified one by one, and the Violets became accustomed to handling heavy weapons.
“Let’s do a simple maneuver training.”
On the weekend morning, while our friends rested, a group of Violets drove a truck toward the dungeon.
This dungeon, named ‘Markas Plains,’ was known for its low difficulty and large size.
As we drove in, a vast grassland unfolded beyond the gate. Everywhere, people were chasing Skullcats with a sword in hand.
“Let’s go!”
We slowly crossed the road and headed to a less crowded area.
Perhaps due to the holiday, the number of people inside the dungeon was very low.
After parking the truck, the Violets took out the heavy weapons and mounts they had separated in their inventory and reattached them to the truck bed for test firing.
– Ratatatat!
“They’re sturdier than I expected!”
The modified truck seemed to handle the recoil of the heavy weapons quite well. Even the heavy machine gun’s recoil was managed without a problem.
It didn’t seem bad for a disposable vehicle, lasting longer than expected. I was impressed by the skills of the technician uncles who helped us.
“It should be usable for fire support.”
It would blow up upon being hit by magic, but it could serve as a suitable armored vehicle for quickly moving around the academy. It would also be useful for surprise attacks on roads or runways.
While the maneuver training was going on, we gradually began to recall the people we had almost forgotten as our discussions about our friends and travel plans continued.
“Let’s reveal our identity and request cooperation from the instructor and the professor. When is the instructor supposed to arrive?”
“It seems like he’s been in contact with the professor, but I should ask.”
We needed to inform the two before we smashed the academy.
They seemed to be preparing something in their own way as well. At least based on observations so far, they were definitely not on the side of the Board of Directors and Magnavis.
By the way, I wonder how far along the research interpretation entrusted to Teacher Yurik is. I should ask him right after the maneuver training ends.
“Ugh, we just want to live freely. Why is there so much to do?”
One Violet grumbled. That was true. What a busy series of days.
