At the cafe where I had gone with Yesol, we were talking about dungeons when Uncle Kang Hangeul showed up.
I waved at him when I saw him.
It felt even more welcoming since it had been a while since we last met.
“Uncle, come on in.”
“I told you, I’m not an uncle.”
“Aren’t you about to hit your 30s? That makes you an uncle.”
“Ugh.”
Kang Hangeul clutched his heart with his right hand, pretending to be hurt by my words.
“Nice to meet you!”
“Oh? There’s someone new here. Nice to meet you.”
Fortunately, the two hit it off quickly. Probably because they were both streamers and YouTubers.
After chatting for about an hour, Vision said he had something to do in real life and left first.
Not long after, Reina also said she had things to do in the guild and disappeared, leaving only the Koreans behind.
“Since we’re at it, why don’t we push the main quest further and go to the next dungeon together? It’s been a while since I went dungeon diving with Arang.”
“That sounds good. As usual, you’ll be the Great Sword User, right?”
“Of course. I see Yesol is a healer, and Arang only leveled up as a dealer, so it’s easier if I go as the tank.”
“I have time too!”
“Great. Let’s hurry up and go!”
Playing Leore and progressing through the main quest with other Leore-loving users is always fun.
Until now, I’ve been able to progress faster than others thanks to [MDB] equipment, allowing me to play longer each day. But now, I have more time in real life.
I spend time with my family, eat one meal a day for real-life health, and work out and get massages regularly.
Naturally, my pace has aligned with that of a regular user, and now I can progress through the main quest together with them.
Ah, that’s a big deal.
I started at the end of the Abyss season, so everyone was already ahead in the story.
But now, with a new season and new updates, we’re all starting from scratch.
“How far have you gotten, Uncle?”
“I need to do the [Unknown Core] quest now.”
“Oh, what? If you finish that quest, we’ll be at the same point.”
“Really? Then I’ll finish it quickly and come back.”
“Okay. I’ll chat with Yesol in the meantime.”
Uncle Kang Hangeul left to do the main quest, leaving just me and Yesol again.
“Unnie, you don’t have a guild, right?”
“Huh? Uh, yeah, I don’t.”
“Want to join the Munchkin Cat guild?”
“…Huh? R-really?”
“Yeah.”
It hasn’t even been four hours since we met, but I already like Yesol.
Of course, it’s obvious, but first, I liked her appearance, and then her personality and playstyle.
While doing the main quest earlier, we talked about the story, and I realized that Yesol is serious about the story.
She explained things I didn’t understand or missed, making it easy to follow.
It felt like she was a Leore story encyclopedia.
When I asked why she knew so much about the story, it turned out that Yesol is a streamer who uploads videos summarizing Leore’s main story and sub-quests on YouTube.
I checked, and while she doesn’t have as many views as Uncle Kang Hangeul or Pinkubelly, some of her videos have over 100,000 views, so many people like her.
I also enjoy RPG game stories, but I don’t delve into them as deeply as she does. However, I love it when someone explains them to me.
Back when I was busy with many games, I used to skip the stories and look for summaries, but having someone explain them vividly with gestures makes it even more fun.
‘Our guild is too full of combatants.’
I didn’t realize it, but when recruiting guild members, my goal was to achieve WFK, so I only looked at their skills. As a result, everyone is just a battle maniac.
Out of 15 members, only Pinkubelly and Baedeokgae are seriously playing life skills. That says it all.
On top of that, the only ones left are those who skip the story and only enjoy combat content.
Well, now that Anna has joined, there’s one more.
After the server merge, we replenished our foreign guild members through Reina, bringing the total to 30 members…
But of course, they’re all combat content maniacs. I can’t say much since I’m the same, but our guild’s image has taken a hit since the last conquest battle.
[Munchkin Cat]
I named it after the Munchkin cat because I have no limbs, but now it’s not about the cat but about being a guild that’s insanely strong in combat.
I named it to be cute, but I hate that it’s known as a guild full of battle maniacs.
So, I’m thinking of recruiting guild members who also focus on life skills and artistic secondary creations.
But then Yesol approached me.
A Leore storyteller just fell into my lap.
“How about it? Want to join, Yesol unnie?”
“B-but I don’t think I’ll be much help in combat…”
“Hey, don’t worry about that. Our guild isn’t just about raid hunts. We have regular gatherings and are even thinking of throwing a party since it’s almost the end of the year!”
“Won’t I be a burden…?”
“Don’t worry. Just keep doing what you’re doing, and if you’re up for it, we can do quests and other horizontal content together.”
“Really? T-then I’ll join…!”
“Great!”
I immediately sent her a guild invite to prevent her from having second thoughts.
‘Leore Storyteller acquired! Now I can enjoy Leore even more. I missed some important quests in the early seasons because I only focused on the main quest. This is perfect.’
===
Is this real?
Yesol squinted at the guild name [Munchkin Cat] written at the top of the guild window.
The unchanging window.
To the left of the guild name was [No.3], indicating the guild’s ranking based on the current conquest battle.
In other words, the [Munchkin Cat] guild she just joined is ranked 3rd in Leore.
Currently, the Mea’d guild is in 1st place with an overwhelming score, followed by the Ensidara guild in 2nd. And right after that is Munchkin Cat.
While the Mea’d and Ensidara guilds, along with the top 10 guilds, have filled their 50-member capacity, only her guild, Munchkin Cat, has 30 members.
Thinking about it, Munchkin Cat is unbelievable.
‘Am I really a member of Munchkin Cat…? Wow… Look at the nickname… I must be crazy. I’m crazy.’
Yesol doesn’t just like Leore’s story.
She also loves the stories created by the players themselves.
While players can’t influence Leore’s main story, she enjoys the events that happen between players in Leore so much that she even records and uploads them to YouTube.
How surprised was she when she saw Reina and Vision earlier?
Reina is called a living legend in Leore, and meeting her was on her Leore bucket list when the servers merged.
“Unnie, welcome to the guild! There are many people to introduce you to, but since Uncle Kang Hangeul will take some time, should I show you the guild house first?”
“Okay!”
The two-story mansion that is the guild house was beautifully decorated.
As Leore is a medieval fantasy, the guild house was made with expensive materials to prove that this is one of the top guilds.
Opening the door and entering, what greeted her was…
“A b-bed?”
The interior was perfectly designed to fit the medieval fantasy theme of Leore.
It was so well-decorated that it could have been made by Leore itself, but in stark contrast to the decor, there was a very out-of-place bed in the middle of the spacious living room.
And it was a bed with lots of frills.
“Ah, that’s my bed. I said I didn’t need it—”
“Arangaaaa!”
A loud voice that seemed to pierce through her ears came from the basement, making Yesol flinch.
With a clattering sound, a woman in blacksmith attire came up from the basement.
She had various tools hanging from her waist and was sweating profusely, but she was wearing a crop top made of bandages, so the sweat was running down her abs to her navel. Even as a fellow woman, Yesol thought she looked cool.
“Oh? Ah! You must be Yesol, who just joined! Nice to meet you!!!”
The woman’s nickname was none other than [Arang Baedeokgae].
She used to go by [Horolo] and was [Arang Baldukgae] before changing it to [Arang Baedeokgae]. She is a female player whose main job is Grim Reaper.
Female players with nicknames listed on the Leore log site are rare.
She has always been at the top of the Grim Reaper meter, even after the server merge, making her a very famous player in Leore.
‘Wait… Why did she change her nickname from Arang Baldukgae to Baedeokgae…?’
As she shook Baedeokgae’s hand, Yesol’s gaze turned to Arang.
The Apostle Outfit left Arang’s limbs exposed, revealing the so-called Limbs Dissection line.
‘Baedeokgae is quite scary… I need to be careful.’
