Special Training Phase Two
“Mr. Ash, this is cheating! It’s too much!”
Arisu had heard from Makoto about the effect of the Gear Lock Gun, so she naturally understood its ability to summon heroes from TV shows, which was incredibly powerful. Understanding this made her not want to be on the receiving end of its attacks.
Originally, the battle with Mr. Ash was already tough enough. Adding three or five more people just made it laughable. She wished for an easy defeat, leaving only “GG” behind.
“Don’t say that. This is also my power, so of course I can use it as I please!”
Ash swung the gear gun in his hand, pulling out gears from his inventory while saying, “Moreover, you think this is excessive? I’ve said I won’t teach you, so now, to truly make you feel the pressure, I will go even further!”
“Do you know why I wanted you to get that butler out of the way? Because if he knew what I was doing, he would definitely come looking for me. That would be troublesome.”
“You should also know I hate meaningless trouble.”
Selecting a gear from his inventory and throwing it into the air, Ash grabbed the flying gear and read the digit on it.
“40? Oh, looks like you’re having a bad day today.”
The sunlight coming through the hole in the roof revealed the image of a warrior wearing an eagle helmet on a purple gear, shimmering brilliantly.
He snapped the deep purple gear into the opened slot, holding it in rhythm with energetic music as he spun the handle.
“[40th Squad]! [Beast King]!”
Arisu braced herself with her slightly aching wrists, but unlike her expectations, only one statue instead of five warriors appeared from the gun.
Did Mr. Ash hold back? If there’s only one person, I should be able to handle it!
The statue shattered instantly, revealing an eagle eye with dazzling light. The king of the skies—Beast King Eagle—unfurled his red arms.
“Ara, it seems to be an unfamiliar warrior, isn’t it?”
Being closely related to Ash, Arisu, who had studied special effects knowledge, didn’t recognize the sharp-looking eagle warrior. Though similar to Life Man’s Red Falcon and Jetman’s Red Falcon, she recognized their differences despite having no illusions.
“This is Beast King Eagle from the 40th team, Animal Squad. For you, this is content from the future; it’s normal not to recognize it.”
“Unaired Super Sentai…” Arisu analyzed the content casually revealed by Ash, feeling like she might have stumbled upon something significant.
If Mr. Ash knows members from the future, then did Ash come from the future? Is time travel involved? It’s so sci-fi.
“Go, Yamato.”
Fortunately, I still remember his name.
Punching Beast King Eagle’s shoulder who posed dramatically, Ash drew another card from his box and inserted it into the Dark Dragon Summon Machine, leading the renewed battle towards her.
Watching the girl fighting against Ash, the puppet without talking ability, Beast King Eagle remained silent for a moment before drawing his signature Eagle Beast Sword, joining the fray.
[SwordVent] (Weapon Descent)
Instead of catching the weapon, Ash flipped the dragon saber from the mirror with his feet, launching it at Arisu. The saber returned like a boomerang, attacking Akisu from both sides.
At the critical moment, Arisu chose to avoid the attacks, shielding herself with her battle dress while concentrating on countering Ash.
“Boom!”
Ash’s punch sent Arisu staggering backwards, the revolving blade cutting through her shoulder battle dress and sweeping over her twin tails, several orange strands drifting to the ground.
After some precise calculations, the dragon saber bounced around the surroundings and returned to Ash. His blade and Beast King Eagle’s sword fell simultaneously toward a terrified Arisu.
“Ah—!”
Unable to resist, Arisu’s body was sent flying backward.
“Rosetta, that’s too much, Lance!”
“Not yet, I can still hold on…!”
Gazing at the black and red fighters approaching, the walls demolished beneath her, Arisu forced herself to stand again amidst the rubble.
With Beast King Eagle involved, Arisu felt her pressure increase exponentially—not just a puppet, the aerial fighter’s agile movements were extremely difficult to deal with. Her attacks with Ash always left her disoriented, almost impossible to dodge.
The… coordination…
Fortunately, though, Beast King Eagle’s sword never targeted her vital areas. The injuries were not severe.
“You’re calling it cheating, right? But remember, in true fights, nothing is considered cheating.”
“The real enemy won’t listen to your complaints. Since you want to witness a true battle, I’ll show you the terror of combat, etched forever in your dreams!”
Knocking back a tired-looking Arisu, Ash turned to the lagging Beast King Eagle.
“Yamato, what are you doing? Use your invincible Instinct Awakening!”
Curiously, Ash wondered if the Beast King Eagle summoned could wield the whale cannon that could blow up the moon.
Following Ash’s orders, Beast King Eagle tossed aside his eagle beast sword, pulling off his headgear and revealing a gorilla mask. His physique rapidly expanded, and his muscular arms surpassed Arisu’s slender waist, achieving a perfect inverted triangle silhouette.
His colossal fists pounded his chest, transforming Beast King Eagle into Beast King Gorilla.
“Wow… Mr. Eagle has turned into a gorilla.”
A little lost for words, Arisu thought, why did it transform from eagle to gorilla? Are they related in any logical way?
The situation was too absurd. It was crossing the boundaries of logic.
“Still making jokes; you need more.”
Facing the muscular Beast King Gorilla, Arisu felt immense pressure. There was no doubt in her mind that a punch from him could flatten her, so she aimed for Ash first.
Since it was Ash who summoned, the best choice was to defeat Ash first!
Determined, Arisu quickly changed course. Given Ash’s speed-to-power switch theory, agility should drop. Charging head-on, Arisu ducked past Beast King Gorilla.
Success!
Seeing Beast King Gorilla behind her, Arisu found the evasion surprisingly easy.
After targeting Ash, Arisu didn’t directly engage, but leaped high and positioned herself above, ready to deliver a flying kick.
Apologies, Mr. Ash. To win and earn your approval, I must defeat you here!
“How dare you aim a flying kick at me!”
Looking up, seeing Ash’s leg rising in her vision, Ash drew a card, hesitating as he saw its contents.
This final descent now?
Ash’s card was Dragon Tooth’s Ultimate Arrival—an ultimate technique summoning Black Dragon to petrify enemies with flames before delivering a flying kick.
But using this, Miss would be surely doomed.
Casually tossing the card away, Ash drew another.
Yellow cloverlight sparkled beneath his feet, and in less than 0.05 seconds, Cure Rosetta flew kicked Dragon Tooth.
The sanctified power of the Pretty Cures swept the dojo, engulfing where Dragon Tooth once stood in vast energy explosions.
“Have I… actually won?” Arisu wiped away dust mixed with sweat, inadvertently asking.
Though she didn’t expect an answer, the Beast King Gorilla who looked at her, likely incapable of speech, couldn’t respond.
“It didn’t take her down.”
“W-what!”
The central yellow energy dissipated, revealing a dark silhouette. Two dark double dragon shields emerged on Dragon Tooth’s arms, emblazoned with the footprint symbolizing her achievements.
[GuardVent] (“Shield Descent”)
“We’re up next.”
“The third phase will make you tremble, unable to even open your eyes. Ready?”
New artwork of Neo, I’ll wait and see.
Acknowledgments
Suddenly about to publish, even I am surprised.
I’m a bit outdated. While others sing along to pop songs, I continuously listen to Brother Shimizu and JAM. In the era of mobile games, I stuck to my farm-like gameplay until finally finding boredom in super robot games or Showa special effects series. Now, catching up on “Pretty Cure,” I’ve reached my true limit as a special effects enthusiast.
My writing mostly centers around outdated themes like warriors, Super Sentai, Metal Heroes, and Machine Wars, leading to underwhelming results.
With dismal results, I had to pause and focus on other projects. Unexpected support encouraged me, and I recently resumed writing with new vigor, gaining unwarranted attention.
Thanks to those who joined me writing Qwa fanfiction. Inspired by them and aiming for more readers, I wrote this book. I’m grateful for all your support, every message, comment, and contribution.
Though mainly focusing on Masked Rider, this story blends popular and niche special effects with less popular “Pretty Cure.” This quirky mix wasn’t expected to gain traction—my mistake.
“Pretty Cure” is genuinely enjoyable. I strongly recommend everyone watch it.
The story revolves around Ash’s past and enigmatic persona, his connections with various characters, lost memories, and relationships with abilities and a system.
Most importantly, it delves into his journey with Pretty Cures, unveiling mysteries throughout adventures.
Characters from beloved special effects and “Pretty Cure” will appear, ensuring you enjoy every moment.
Ash is a complex character, not inherently evil. Enjoy his tale, and look forward to a satisfying conclusion for all.
Update schedule: Despite my busy days, I strive to update within my limits. Writing exhaustively drains me, but your support fuels me.
Thank you for your continued support. Your feedback means everything. Keep responding!
My clumsy words may leave me at a loss, but thank you for loving my work. Support continues to be appreciated.
