Chapter 144. Turns Out It Got Nerfed~ (2)
And while I was busy digging through the gallery, on one side of the command center, it seemed like there was an ongoing discussion about the disgraceful performance of the Kraken in its first real battle.
To be precise, it wasn’t exactly a proper discussion.
“No, no! There’s no way our proud flagship would look so pathetic!”
“Princess is right. How could it hold up against over 3,000 bioweapon aircraft? That doesn’t make sense.”
“Well, that’s true, but…”
“It was definitely strange. An anti-air specialized ship being in that situation…”
“But still, for such a massive body to struggle after just a few small mines hit it…”
“Wouldn’t it hurt if you got hit by a rock in your massive chest fat?”
“Ah, I see.”
Our side, suspicious of the Kraken’s performance since it hadn’t even leveled up properly, was met with passionate defenses and excuses from the monster faction members, Princess Luka and Oxianor, who were practically spitting blood.
Of course, regardless of that, I kept digging through the gallery, looking for any solutions.
Not long after, around the time I blocked about three more trolls, I noticed that some serious aircraft carrier enthusiasts had posted something new in the gallery.

Title: About those posts saying aircraft got nerfed, just don’t believe them blindly and read this first.

People are writing long, heartfelt posts about how aircraft performance sucks now or how they got nerfed.
But the problem is, no matter how fast you rush base construction, it’s not easy to complete building something as big as an ‘Aircraft Carrier’ and start leveling it up properly.
Plus, if you look closely, the people writing those posts all seem like they quit the game a long time ago.
You know what?
About six months before we got possessed, there was a massive overhaul of aircraft.
Some trashy old-timers brought carriers into low-level fights and started stomping everyone, so aircraft performance at low levels got absolutely gutted.
To make them usable, you need to be at least level 30-40 as a superhuman.
But as I mentioned earlier, the players’ base upgrade speed can’t keep up with that.
People who just hit level 5 or 6 might not know this, but to build an aircraft carrier, you need a level 7 base and a separate ‘Air Command’ building.
Unless you got it from gacha, most people are either still building their carriers or just pulled one and are stuck at low levels.
At that stage, the aircraft are way worse than what you guys used back in the day, so keep that in mind.
Anyway, I’m out. @))))))))))))))))))
Comments:
– [Lol, you were doing so well until the old-timer drift at the end;;]
– [Thought you were an old-timer, but turns out you’re just salty.]
– [TL;DR please?]
– [If you can’t read, just don’t. FFS.]
– [Wait, so we have to grind like crazy to make aircraft usable?]
– [Yep, or just forget about carriers and go all-in on big guns.]

Title: If you get carriers as mercenaries from factions, they perform as you’d expect.

At first, I wondered why people were trashing the aircraft performance.
But then I realized, these are the ones NPCs have been using, so they’re already at a decent level.
That’s why the aircraft performance is upgraded and matches what you’d expect.
But right now, if players are building them, at best you’d get a light carrier, not a large one, so you’d only have 100-500 aircraft at a time.
That means you’d have to literally ‘grind through’ leveling them up, which would cost an insane amount of resources.
And you’d have to keep doing that until they’re around level 30-40.
Honestly, I don’t recommend using carriers.
Comments:
– [Bro, how did you even get that?]
– [Didn’t get it, looted it. That’s why I’m being chased by the Xenobia Empire right now.] (Author)
– [You thieving bastard, lol.]

‘Hmm, very interesting indeed.’
Amidst all this, one former top-ranked player shocked everyone by stealing an aircraft carrier from the Xenobia Empire and is currently on the run.
Anyway, through this, I realized that if I just level up the aircraft and the carrier enough, I could pull off that slick, brainless aircraft spam I experienced in the past to mess with the enemy.
What I need to do from now on is none other than fully focus on leveling and upgrading that Kraken.
==========
Anyway, I’ve now figured out how to “operate” the Kraken.
On top of that, I’ve noticed that other users are starting to deploy not just carriers, but also cruiser battleships and even battleships.

**Fleet Status**
Total Points: 364/470 Points
– Aircraft Carrier: 1 ship, 70 points each = 70 points
– Heavy Cruisers: 10 ships, 10 points each = 100 points
– Light Cruisers: 10 ships, 6 points each = 60 points
– Destroyers: 25 ships, 3 points each = 75 points
– Escort Ships: 5 ships, 1.5 points each = 7.5 points
– Patrol Ships: 20 ships, 1 point each = 20 points
– Resource Mining Ships: 25 ships, 1.5 points each = 37.5 points

Since I had to dismantle part of the fleet to bring in the Kraken-class, there’s plenty of space left.

<Additional Docking Facility under construction...>

I immediately prioritized the construction of additional docking facilities. After successfully commandeering a ship from some user whose name I can’t even remember, I decided it was time to finally normalize the Overseer.
This ship, which had been our fleet’s flagship and, aside from Pashtira, our only firepower-focused vessel, had been overloaded with all sorts of equipment and even bio-modifications by Gryanarr. As a result, its firepower was insane, but the rest of its balance was completely wrecked.
“Finally, the time has come, Commander.”
“It feels like just yesterday that the Overseer and I were holding the line all by ourselves… ♡”
“But now that ship can finally share the burden, isn’t that a relief?”
After giving the order, even Ignis, who usually doesn’t seem to care much about the ships, looked somewhat bittersweet. Of course, unlike the other ships, the Overseer had been a symbolic vessel that had practically lived and breathed with us, so it was only natural to feel a bit sentimental.
“Oh my, I’ve grown quite attached to it.”
And our mad scientist, Professor Gryanarr, was no exception. Hearing that the Overseer, which they had tirelessly modified to be covered in eyes and tentacles and packed with overwhelming firepower, was being restored to its original state, they couldn’t help but feel a little bitter.
But that didn’t last long.
“Oh, by the way, Gryanarr, you’ll also need to modify the Kraken.”
“Huh? Oh my, oh my, oh my, really?”
Upon hearing that they’d get to modify the even bigger and more glorious Kraken, Gryanarr flashed a bright smile, genuinely delighted.
Meanwhile, our muscle-nun Patria…
“Everything is according to the will of our great Savior. The fleet and we all exist solely for the Savior’s opinions…”
“Right.”
With her showing the epitome of obedience, I nodded and continued with my game.
