“Chapter 141: Behave”
As a hero, Xia obviously can’t be part of the demon race.
Or rather, at this point in time, he hasn’t yet worshiped any upper-dimensional demon, so he has no ties to the demon race.
The whole thing about being possessed by the Lord of the Dead Souls is just Lynn’s rambling nonsense.
As the favored protagonist of the gods, there’s no way he’d be mentally manipulated just by a measly Fifth Stage Legend.
His intense hatred and killing intent towards Lynn might have something to do with their identities.
Back at the Temple of the Gods, the Witch Miss once remarked about him being a flawed impurity that doesn’t fit into this world, and that invisible correcting force was his greatest enemy.
What he does is simply alter the destinies of the plot characters, steering their futures away from the original storyline.
In a sense, as an embodiment of the world’s will, Xia Asolante would naturally harbor such strong hatred towards him.
After all, the entire novel is Xia’s personal showcase.
Now, with Lynn’s appearance stealing away the spotlight rightfully belonging to him, the conflict and animosity between them are simply irreconcilable.
Perhaps because of this, he found it impossible to access Xia’s personal information list through the system.
From the moment he stepped out of the Teleportation Array, Lynn sensed his presence.
That’s why he was pondering earlier.
Since the conflict had escalated to the point where it was unsolvable, why not make the first move?
“Kill him.”
At that moment, hearing Ivyst’s nonchalant words, everyone present showed a hint of absurdity and disbelief.
Just because of a single sentence, she wanted to execute the Empire’s Battle Hero right there?
Even if you are the Third Princess, this joke just isn’t funny.
However, as Ivyst’s subordinates, they knew very well that her Highness never joked about such things.
Thus, the instant Ivyst issued the order, three figures rushed forward in a flash.
Morris wielded flowing shadows to try and blockade Xia’s movement, Afia’s hands, strengthened by the power of abundance, entwined with the magic of nature, while Rhine unleashed a gravitational field that cracked the ground around them.
Three Third Stages.
It would only take a single blow to take them down.
At this moment, a flicker of anger rose within Xia.
Even a clay figure has a bit of temper.
Not to mention that everything happening today was purely because that guy was looking for trouble.
Just because of a glance, they wanted to execute me on the spot?
Crazy!
Not just that black-haired blue-eyed youth, but even this Third Princess was the craziest of the crazy!
Xia considered himself a normal person, so he couldn’t understand their warped mindsets.
Though he usually appeared approachable, it didn’t mean his temper was great.
On the contrary, with multiple beliefs, his very first one was “war.”
As a follower of the War God, his veins ran with brutality and the blood of battle.
“Hoo—”
Suddenly, intense heat engulfed the area around the Teleportation Array.
With a rapid expansion of a fiery aura, Xia stood still, raising his right hand and gently grasping at the air.
Instantly, a knight’s long spear formed from orange-red flames appeared in his palm.
The explosive power contained within could flatten everything in sight with just a gentle toss.
However, fueled by anger and perhaps due to his smooth journey since arriving in the Imperial Capital, he forgot about another monster’s existence in this place.
A true monster.
As a graceful figure in a wheelchair cast a casual glance his way, Xia felt as if a massive mountain had crushed down upon him, a frightening power exceeding even his myself-honed physical limits instantly overwhelmed him, every cell screaming in pain.
In the next second, the flaming knight’s spear shattered in his hand, his face flushed, half-kneeling on the ground, unable to move.
As he watched the three figures charging swiftly towards him, for the first time, Xia felt as powerless as a lamb to the slaughter.
He could have easily taken out those three Third Stage weaklings with a casual flick.
But now, it felt like the world had flipped upside down.
This is the Sixth Stage Half-Divine, huh?
Xia clenched his fists tightly, his teeth grinding.
But when he glared at the instigator of all this, he found her flirting with the black-haired youth beside her.
Damn it!
As he stared at the catgirl’s hand ready to pierce his throat, Xia growled and prepared to reveal his secret trump card for survival.
“Xia, big brother!”
Behind him came Tia, the Saintess, urgently calling out.
The elven girl gazed coldly at Lynn and others, then without hesitation raised her Staff, blooming with a moon-white radiance.
The tension in the air was palpable!
And just then, accompanied by the rapid sound of high heels, Cyrilina rushed to Xia’s front, seemingly unable to tolerate her sister’s reckless behavior any longer. She stepped forward, raising her slim white wrist to reveal a copper bell tied there.
Then she extended her index finger and lightly tapped it.
“Ding—”
The crisp sound transformed into invisible waves of law, spreading out before the Teleportation Array.
Supernatural phenomena were forbidden here!
In an instant, everyone, including Morris, felt as if their supernatural powers were wiped out, their abilities dissipating as they all stood in shock.
Seeing this, Lynn sighed lightly in his heart.
As expected, it was impossible to directly kill the original protagonist here.
No surprises there.
But he didn’t expect her to take the initiative to defuse the situation.
It seems the First Princess had a pretty high favorability rating towards Xia.
Looking at Cyrilina, who stood coldly in front of Xia, the atmosphere fell silent for a moment.
The once gentle and compassionate Holy Goddess now seemed to open her eyes, radiating unprecedented hostility.
“Little Ivyst, you’ve gone too far.”
Cyrilina softly said.
As Xia’s superior, she certainly couldn’t stand by and watch her subordinate be killed here.
She’s bullying me again.
Once again, the Princess’s pitiful gaze fell upon Lynn, leaving him sweating profusely.
Hey, hey, I can’t handle this one!
He could only avert his gaze and play meek.
However, Ivyst didn’t expect him to scold her big sister right away. Seeing his appearance made her chuckle softly, but she composed her expression.
“He’s part of the demon race.”
Ivyst said flatly, as if confirming, “Cyrilina, are you going to shelter a demon?”
Even facing her elder sister, she maintained her composure, casually twirling her long black hair at her fingertips.
“You know in your heart whether he is a demon or not.”
Cyrilina paused for a moment and then quietly said.
In fact, when Lynn asked about Xia earlier, the perceptive Cyrilina had already guessed his intentions.
As the First Princess, she was one of the few who understood the ins and outs of the Orlen City incident.
If it were to be fully investigated, Xia would definitely be dragged to the Heretics Judgment office for an in-depth interrogation.
She was well aware that her subordinate had quite a few trump cards hidden away.
If those came to light, it would be detrimental to her side.
Holding this thought, Cyrilina let out a gentle sigh: “As for everything that happened today, I swear on my honor that no news will leak outside.”
“In exchange, let’s not pursue this matter any further.”
In other words, Ivyst’s earlier outrageous claim that Lynn is to be her future consort ends here, as both sides take a step back and agree not to pursue the issue.
However, Ivyst didn’t immediately agree but glanced at Lynn first: “What do you think?”
“Sounds good,” Lynn thought for a moment and nodded, “Let’s just treat what happened earlier as a little mishap.”
Upon hearing this, Ivyst lightly nodded: “Then it’s settled.”
Cyrilina gave Lynn a deep look, surprised that this little guy actually held such a high position in her heart.
“I’ll remember you, Lynn Bartleon.”
After leaving this profound remark, Cyrilina pulled her hood back up, muttering a few words of concern for Xia before turning to leave.
She still had to attend the victory banquet later; as the First Princess, she had many things to prepare and couldn’t waste time here.
But upon hearing Cyrilina’s words, Ivyst frowned, clearly unhappy: “You’re not allowed to remember him.”
Cyrilina paused for a moment.
Then someone’s righteous voice came from behind: “Don’t worry, Your Highness, whether she remembers me or not, I certainly won’t remember someone who doesn’t look as good as you.”
“Behave~”
Cyrilina stumbled a few steps.
Calm down!
Why get upset with a kid!
Thinking about that black-haired blue-eyed youth again, for some reason, Cyrilina felt a painful pang in her chest.
She was irritated by these crazy master and servant duo.
