Chapter 132

I decided to ignore Echo and Vision’s attitudes since whatever I say won’t change anything anyway.

Even if Echo and Vision are awkward, it’s fine because Reina, Emma, and our guild members are here.

After finishing this hunt without any issues in one go, I greeted everyone and then moved on as a Monster Hunter.

A week.

In a week, I hunted almost all the regular monsters.

Now, it’s time to start hunting Elder Dragons, not just regular monsters.

In Monster Hunter, Elder Dragons are monsters that haven’t been thoroughly researched yet and remain unclassified, but they possess such unique and powerful strength that they are called calamities.

In other words, they are on a completely different level of strength compared to regular monsters.

I now have proper equipment and even crafted a big, cool Great Sword.

Farming isn’t completely over yet, but now it’s time to farm Elder Dragons.

Before going to bed, I looked up some Monster Hunter info.

I wasn’t looking for exact strategies, but rather what to do before hunting Elder Dragons.

Everyone said that from Elder Dragons onward, the difficulty spikes sharply, and solo players who have to handle aggro alone will find it very tough.

Honestly, I thought, “How hard can it be?” and confidently went in… but something feels off.

This time, the monster is way too big.

From hunting regular monsters so far, I’ve noticed that the monsters are strangely large.

Even when playing with Jindaru, he mentioned that whenever he joins my server, the monsters are noticeably bigger than usual.

I thought it was just because I was seeing these monsters for the first time, so they seemed larger.

But after occasionally joining Jindaru’s server and switching back and forth multiple times, I concluded:

The monsters on my server are significantly larger than on others.

“I vaguely remember something.”

“Remember what?”

“Your server’s monsters are unusually large compared to others, right?”

“Yeah. It’s weird.”

“There was a rumor in Monster Hunter that the size of the monsters is adjusted based on the server host’s physical physique.”

“Wait, really? That was a thing?”

“It’s just a rumor. Not confirmed. But everyone kind of expected it to be true. However…”

Jindaru scanned me up and down.

“Looking at your physique, that rumor might actually be true…”

“Even if I have top-tier physical fitness, it’s not like I’m the only one with such a physique, right?”

I know my physique is above average, but I don’t think I’m the absolute best among Monster Hunter players.

“You’re really calling yourself top-tier, huh?”

“Well, it’s true.”

Jindaru looked at me incredulously, but I casually tapped his shoulder and said,

“So, did you gather the team?”

“Yeah. Got some reliable folks.”

“Great. Tell them to hurry up.”

“Okay, okay.”

The monster we’re hunting today is Lergigante, a flagship monster from the previous Monster Hunter games.

As I mentioned earlier, while trying to hunt Elder Dragons solo, I found traces of Lergigante and decided to hunt it.

But just like with Ibizho before, I immediately realized this wasn’t something I could do alone, so I called Jindaru.

I thought it would be fine with just Jindaru and me, so we went to check out Lergigante, and Jindaru said he’d bring his friends along.

“Hello~”

“Nice to meet you!”

Two hunters Jindaru picked greeted us warmly as they entered the camp.

Me – Great Sword

Jindaru – Long Sword

Hunter 1 – Heavy Bowgun

Hunter 2 – Bow

This was our team composition.

The funny thing is, except for me, everyone was using female character models.

Here I am, a female using a male character model, while the guys are using female models…

Wait, is this normal?

==

We followed Lergigante’s traces and found it.

Each of Lergigante’s spikes is about the size of my character model in Leore.

Thinking about those spikes exploding with each attack sends chills down my spine.

It’s scary and challenging, but overcoming that and hunting a massive, powerful monster is what makes Monster Hunter fun.

We all cheered and charged at Lergigante to take it down.

At first, the hunt went smoothly.

But problems arose after about 10 minutes.

In Monster Hunter, there’s no way to directly harm your teammates.

But you can make things inconvenient for them.

Specifically, you can cause a slight stagger when attacking teammates.

That small stagger interrupts combos or makes them pause briefly while moving, which is annoying.

Back in the day, people would bring skills to nullify minor staggers.

But I haven’t farmed enough to bring those skills yet.

“This… feels like they’re deliberately targeting me.”

The bow and heavy bowgun attacks keep hitting me periodically.

The occasional staggers are really getting on my nerves.

Jindaru brought his long-time gaming friends, but they’re all weirdos.

I didn’t expect them to sabotage me this much, even though they came through Jindaru’s introduction.

[Leore Gallery]

[Found Chicken Without Legs, starting stream ㄱ]

(Stream link by the poster)

I’ve known Jindaru for a while, and I casually invited him to start a stream.

We’re going to hunt Lergigante, but it’s going to be a stream of messing with Chicken Without Legs.

[Comments]

Haha, Jindaru’s been so secretive, this is gonna be great.

LOL, let’s beat up that jerk who’s been bothering Arang.

Let’s make him quit Monster Hunter, LOL.

Please don’t do this, it’s crossing the line.

What? Are you a T?

[Everyone, let’s keep it reasonable]

Even if Chicken Without Legs is the guy who sniped Arang, that doesn’t justify this level of hate.

Do you think Arang would want this?

Arang would definitely tell you to stop.

[Comments]

Are you not a fan? Didn’t you see what Arang wrote in the fan cafe? She’s mad because of Chicken Without Legs.

That doesn’t give you the right to bash someone like this.

Are you a PD or something?

What’s a PD?

Fan.

Oh.

Isn’t it LI?

PD sounds cooler.

We need to purge. Arang can’t do anything without a PD.

You’re insane, don’t talk about Arang like that.

Did I say something wrong?

Sigh… hopeless.

==

Footage of Chicken Without Legs constantly getting staggered by the bow and heavy bowgun attacks, causing him to fail at dodging Lergigante’s attacks and rolling on the ground, was broadcasted live.

-LOLOLOLOL

-This is hilarious

-Why is Lergigante so big though?

-Probably a gold crown?

-Pay for sniping Arang, you jerk

-LOLOLOLOL

-He’s rolling on the ground all day?

“Ah, sorry. Pfft.”

When Chicken Without Legs tried to retreat to heal, they deliberately tripped him.

Caught off guard by the blatant sabotage, Chicken Without Legs helplessly fell face-first.

Chicken Without Legs glared at the person who tripped him and then went back to hunting Lergigante.

==

After defeating Lergigante, I planted my Great Sword into the ground and glared at the two hunters Jindaru brought.

“Good job, Chi—Chicken?”

As Jindaru tried to speak, I raised my hand to stop him.

“Hey.”

“Yes?”

“What are you doing?”

“What did we do?”

“Huh? Sigh… You guys are really insane. Why are you messing with me like this?”

“I really don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Intentionally attacking me from behind to cause staggers, and just now, deliberately tripping me when I tried to back off.”

Hearing this, Jindaru, who was listening nearby, got furious.

“What!? Did you guys really do that!?”

“Come on. Of course not.”

“Seriously?”

“Hey. Are you really believing him over us? We’ve known each other for years.”

“You…”

Their attitudes were completely dismissive.

“Hey. Just man up and tell me. Why are you pulling this crap?”

Their snickering and attempts to shift the conversation into political territory made me revert to my old way of speaking and curse.

Living as Arang, I wanted to be pure and innocent, but these guys brought out the old me.

“We had no intentions, okay? It’s just something that happens while playing the game. Why are you so sensitive? Do you have a persecution complex or something?”

Their expressions and actions clearly showed they were deliberately sabotaging me, and I was speechless.

Jindaru was at a loss for how to handle the situation.

It’s understandable.

From Jindaru’s perspective, these are friends he’s gamed with for years, and I’m someone he’s known for less than a week.

But it’s obvious these guys are intentionally messing with me.

“This is so annoying…”

“If you were uncomfortable, we apologize~”

“Sigh…”
