Chapter 116 – Words of Gratitude
Welcome everyone to read my book. I wish you all good health, early to bed and early to rise, and do not stay up late like me.
Although the process was somewhat bumpy, after many twists and turns, this book is finally going to be published.
Due to the current website regulations, only books with an average of over 500 subscribers can consistently receive a full attendance bonus. Therefore, I hope everyone will support me more.
Recalling the first line I typed on the keyboard was one afternoon in early August. Outside the window was white sunlight, and occasionally, one could hear the joyful shouts of children playing in the neighborhood.
At that time, my mind was filled with many ideas and creative thoughts, some of which were interesting and exaggerated notions that I had accumulated over the years. I thought these ideas would surely interest everyone.
However, when I began to flesh out the background and plot, I gradually felt a sense of fatigue. Indeed, to make the book engaging, unique ideas and plots were necessary, but I found myself somewhat resistant despite being fully committed.
After much contemplation, I ultimately decided to follow my heart and write a story that would warm people’s hearts.
In real life, things are already challenging enough, so I don’t want to add to the difficulties.
I decided to write a story that would be comforting and cozy for both myself and others. But this comfort isn’t hollow; it’s like a campfire that has endured through the night and cold, radiating warmth and light, grounding and sincere.
I feel like I’m boasting, and it makes me a bit embarrassed, but I will strive toward this goal.
This was my initial idea for writing this book. I didn’t dare put it at the beginning, fearing ridicule.
Additionally, I would like to thank Editor Fuchen for making it possible for my book to be signed. I also owe a debt of gratitude to my author friend Huagugu (Gushen), who encouraged me during a period of low confidence earlier this year, helping me regain my motivation and start writing again.
I have set up this book quite comprehensively. The first volume has now unveiled the world’s background and some settings. The main storyline is currently planned up to the fifth volume, and as the plot unfolds, I will continue to refine the subplots and add more content.
As long as writing can sustain me, I will continue until the end because this is truly something I enjoy.
Sometimes, I envy those authors who achieve great success from the very beginning. I often wonder when I will become as excellent as them.
But just like the past, the beginning of the book cannot be changed. Perhaps it wasn’t stunning, but I will improve with each word I write.
It’s worth celebrating that my typing speed has finally increased to 800 words per hour, surpassing my high school peak of 600 words in 50 minutes.
Lastly, I hope everyone will support my subscription. Love you all!
