Chapter 107

Holding the Blonde Girl in his arms, the Black Agent emerged from the cave—only to find not an unidentified blue woman but colossal water spouts reaching toward the full moon.

Beneath the grand luminosity of the full moon, massive waterspouts spiraled upward, towering like ancient pillars.

Lifting his head skyward, he gazed at a hydra made entirely of churning water, arching high enough to touch the clouds under the celestial glow.

Just standing there felt oppressive, as if the sheer size could crush him into oblivion.

The towering water columns exuded an immense gravitational pull, their mass seemingly ready to flatten anything beneath them.

“What… is this?”

The Black Agent’s bewildered mutter was drowned out by the deafening roar of swirling water scattering in every direction.

Against the backdrop of starlight cascading from the heavens, the water hydra stood proudly, its arch nearly brushing against the clouds, and it opened its gaping maw.

A jet of water fired from the hydra’s mouth struck the ground like a laser beam in an instant.

This torrent tore through the earth with such force that even solid rock crumbled like paper.

The whirlpool surrounding the hydra dragged nearby objects into chaos, flinging droplets and debris into the air.

To the Black Agent, it seemed like a signal flare heralding the destruction of Seoul itself.

A disaster on the scale of steel towers had arrived in Seoul.

Lake water spiraled violently, shooting up toward the heavens.

A shadow-casting water column so large it could obscure the surroundings.

Even the Golden Reaper, Blue Reaper, and I paused our tasks to marvel at the majestic spectacle.

Its imposing size stirred anticipation within me.

Would I finally uncover what “The Mirror of the Blue Witch” truly was?

But instead of a witch or mirror, what emerged was…

A nine-headed serpent.

A monstrous hydra composed entirely of water.

The lake-born hydra immediately unleashed torrents of water aimed at me and the Mini Reapers with devastating power.

Projecting such vast amounts of water with enough speed to slice through rock—it was almost absurd.

If the Blue Reaper were hit by this water cannon, they’d likely turn into a soggy mess. So, I quickly sent them back to the garden.

Whirlpools erupted all around, grinding stones into dust and launching fragments skyward.

Nine jets of water shot from the hydra’s mouths, cutting and pulverizing everything in their path.

Water and shattered rocks flew wildly, creating a terrifying scene where even a glancing blow could sever limbs.

Yet, the hydra’s overwhelming presence didn’t faze us one bit.

The Golden Reaper spun gracefully within the chaotic vortex, riding it like a carousel.

Dodging incoming water jets and flying debris while playfully leaping about.

Getting blasted away by water pressure only to laugh joyfully mid-air before diving back in.

It was the ultimate Golden Reaper Water Park.

I found myself caught up in the turbulence alongside the Golden Reaper, watching the spectacle unfold.

To defeat the hydra: [Destroy all 9 hearts simultaneously].

Pretty straightforward condition.

Except… we couldn’t locate the hearts anywhere.

Though the transparent body of the hydra allowed a clear view inside, no heart was visible.

Upon spotting the hyda, the Tattooed Woman rushed back to her quarters and woke her younger sister.

“Sis? What’s going on?”

Grabbing only a bag containing crystals, she urged hastily, “We need to evacuate now!”

Vibrations from the ground grew stronger.

Exiting their quarters, they saw the hydra firing water jets somewhere far off.

The sound of mountains being pierced echoed ominously.

After eliminating its target, the hydra would undoubtedly annihilate the surrounding area next. They needed to flee immediately.

Together, the sisters sprinted toward higher ground.

“Look, sis! There’s a water monster!”

Her younger sister turned back with an oddly cheerful tone, completely unfazed by the surreal situation.

Meanwhile, the woman pulled her sister along firmly, sensing something amiss.

Why did the lake serpent appear so suddenly?

Since the serpent only emerged during dire emergencies, its appearance felt too premature.

Defiler corruption doesn’t progress this fast…

Who summoned the serpent?

Reaching a hilltop deemed relatively safe, they spotted the culprit.

An object so small it was barely visible to ordinary humans compared to the hydra’s enormity.

Tiny and seemingly powerless compared to the hydra.

And there was the Gray Reaper—the most infamous object in Korea.

Even the highest-risk object appeared helpless against the hydra, getting tossed around like a newspaper in a typhoon.

Surprisingly, the Gray Reaper held on longer than expected.

Any hope someone else might defeat the hydra faded quickly.

Time to retreat further.

They had no choice but to escape as far as possible and complete the crystal.

“Wow, sis, look! It’s glowing golden!”

The younger sister remained blissfully oblivious amidst the chaos.

Noticing golden particles while turning to call her sister, she spotted…

Golden Reapers much smaller than the Gray Reaper.

Familiar gold hues.

Ah!

The golden wave that engulfed the theme park.

So the Gray Reaper was the object responsible for destroying the theme park…

Unable to comprehend the ensuing events, the woman could only stare dumbfounded.

Every time the golden wave swept over the hydra, it shrank slightly.

As though losing part of its mass.

Unchanging, relentless, the golden wave continued reducing the hydra’s size.

No matter how the hydra retaliated—with water blasts, swipes, or attempts to flee—it proved futile.

[RAWR]

With a final, ear-splitting roar heard across Seoul, the hydra vanished.

“It’s… impossible.”

Dropping the crystal in shock, the woman muttered.

“You dropped it, sis! Didn’t you say it was important?”

Now rendered useless, the crystal lay forgotten.

Without visible hearts, there was only one option left.

Erase the entire entity, and the hearts will vanish too.

The plan involved summoning as many Golden Reapers as possible to obliterate the hydra.

Seemed anticlimactic given the lack of physical immunity.

After the hydra disappeared, the lake lay eerily calm despite losing all the water it had drawn away.

Still neither increasing nor decreasing—definitely fitting for an object-like lake.

Footsteps approached the cave entrance.

Human footsteps nearing exhaustion.

Turning toward the sound revealed the familiar Man in Black Suit carrying a girl, trudging slowly.

Judging by the mournful Golden Reapers gathered nearby, someone must’ve been gravely injured.

Emerging from the cave, the man stumbled and collapsed onto the floor.

Several large boulders embedded deeply into his back suggested he’d been struck by debris from the hydra.

The anxious Golden Reapers hovered nearby.

Looks like we need the youngest member here.

Summoning the Blue Reaper into the air, it promptly began healing the fallen man.

[Please make the pebbles in the wound disappear.]

[Please heal the wounds.]

[Please restore energy swiftly.]

Words of light entered the man, extracting stones and gradually closing the wounds.

But the Blonde Girl had already passed away.

Even magical powers have limits when faced with death, right?

She reminded me of the girl I met at the Chinese research institute. To see her gone like this…

Yet, I felt an inexplicable certainty that she could be revived.

Pulling out the fiery heart I’d discarded earlier in the garden, I placed it gently on the girl’s chest.

Thump-thump.

The crimson heart slid smoothly into her body, as if finding its rightful place.

Perhaps this was the correct method after all.

Cough.

The girl began breathing again, blood trickling from her lips.

What a relief she’s alive.

Leaving them behind, I ventured deeper into the cave.

There must be something significant since the Grandmother Leader resided here.

Hopefully, I’ll find the “Mirror of the Blue Witch.”

In the center of the softly glowing cave sat a beautiful pool reflecting the night sky above.

Spotting the pool, I thought inwardly,

This must be the “Mirror of the Blue Witch”!

Perfectly circular, adorned with intricate engravings, it resembled an actual mirror.

But how do I destroy it?

Should I splash around in it?

I considered various methods but couldn’t figure out any feasible solution.

Feels like one of those escape room games without hints.

Too difficult.

I sat cross-legged beside the pool, dipping my feet in and making splashing sounds.

The pool remained perfectly still no matter what I did.

Plan one—water splashing—failed.

Next, I threw Golden Reapers into the pool one by one until it was packed like a crowded bus.

Assuming overcrowding would break it, nothing happened—failure again.

Then, I called upon the youngest Blue Reaper to heat the pool.

Initially reluctant due to concerns about harming the Golden Reapers, they agreed after reassurance.

[Please heat up.]

[Please boil until fully evaporated.]

As the Blue Reaper’s magic took effect, steam exploded upward, filling the ceiling.

The Golden Reapers played gleefully amidst the steam, waving their hands.

Welcome to the Golden Reaper Bathhouse!

Unfortunately, destruction wasn’t triggered—another failure.

By now, I began questioning whether this was truly the mirror.

Tired of thinking, I absorbed the garden into reality.

Stretching both arms wide, I grabbed the space containing the pool and…

Clap.

Compressed the entire space until it vanished.

Feeling immense logs of firewood dissipate.

Just as I thought failing would be a waste, changes occurred above the ruptured ceiling.

A mini blue moon floated cutely overhead.

Guess brute strength compensates for lack of intelligence sometimes.

Hehe.
