“I’m not the mastermind…”

Am I? Or am I?

I turned my head left and right, carefully scanning the face reflected in the mirror.

It was dark because the light wasn’t coming in properly, but I could still make out the face.

Dark, brownish skin.

Ashen hair, as if the color had drained out.

Blurred pupils that gave off an eerie vibe.

“This is definitely…”

I’ve seen this face before.

But it felt a bit unfamiliar.

It’s younger than I remember.

That guy definitely had a face that had been hit hard by time.

There’s no way that crazy guy’s face could be this smooth.

That fact created a strong sense of dissonance.

“And he was blind.”

I think the setting said he could sense his surroundings with his superpower.

But my two eyes were staring so clearly at the reflection of me in the mirror.

What’s going on?

Possession… is shocking enough, but since it’s already happened, there’s nothing I can do about it.

But waking up and suddenly being possessed by the mastermind? What the heck is this?

“The Hero Project… right?”

It was a fairly popular web novel.

Hero stories were rare, and the characters were charming, so I kept up with it.

But, you know.

That doesn’t mean I ever thought about being possessed by this novel, nor did I ever send 5,700 characters.

I just left comments occasionally and clicked the like button, reading up to the latest chapter whenever I remembered.

…Instead of wasting time on questions with no answers, let’s focus on other things.

Understanding the situation takes priority over the fact that I’ve been possessed by this story’s mastermind and final boss.

First, I need to figure out where I am.

…Though it’s pretty obvious it’s a prison cell without even needing to confirm.

I tiptoed over to the iron bars and looked around.

It wasn’t just a small detention center—it seemed like a full-blown prison, with cells lined up densely.

And inside, people were just sitting around, killing time.

Some wore prison-like clothes with expressions as if their souls had left their bodies, while others were crouched in corners with their heads down.

The scene in the cell, with kids, adults, and elderly all mixed together… it felt less like a gathering of criminals and more like a bunch of guinea pigs.

So, yeah.

“I’m screwed…”

My possession seems to have started off on the wrong foot.
