Prologue – Bed Ending
I didn’t like bad endings.
How could I enjoy the sight of the protagonist crumbling and breaking? My preference leaned more towards stories that ended happily.
Hence, when I heard her say, “I think I’ll quit now,” a wave of relief washed over me. It was the feeling of finally succeeding.
Memories of our time together flashed before my eyes—how much effort we had put in to reach this ending safely.
What a commendable kid.
I wanted to rush out and congratulate her immediately. If she wished, I’d even give her the cuddles she liked so much.
“So… what does that have to do with this?”
If only she hadn’t tied me up.
I sat on a chair, tightly bound in a forgotten corner of an abandoned construction site.
Not only were my hands and feet restrained, but my neck was also firmly fixed to prevent any movement.
My attempts to break the ropes had failed countless times. Even if I managed to break free, would she just let me be?
I looked up at the girl.
Her hair, the color of cherry blossoms, fluttered in the wind. Her smile was beautiful, captivating, like a falling star in a dark world.
One of the magical girls who fought against evil, she was the great hero who personally sealed the Demon King. Magical Girl Iris.
She had another name too.
“Hey Noah, I don’t know what’s going on here, but can we talk about it normally?”
Ordinary Female Student Naoh.
Noah spoke to me with a voice that carried an ominous undertone unlike her usual self. There was a glint in her eyes as if she had made some kind of resolution.
The unease from her abnormal behavior made me swallow hard.
“What kind of help?”
“Yes, you’ve helped me a lot before, so I thought maybe you could help me with this too.”
What kind of help could it possibly be that required kidnapping someone?
“I said I’m retiring…”
Noah trailed off, her lips curling into a mischievous smirk before she suddenly hit me with a quiz.
“Big Brother, let me ask you a riddle.”
“What kind of riddle?”
“Why did I apply for retirement?”
“…How should I know?”
Noah stared at me for a long moment, but no matter how much I thought, I couldn’t figure out the answer.
“I don’t know…”
“Alright, then this time I’ll tell you the special answer.”
After a long pause, she finally revealed the answer.
“Pregnancy retirement.”
“…Pregnancy retirement?”
My head spun.
What? Did this kid get herself into some sort of trouble? And with who?
There were so many questions I wanted to ask, but shock froze my mouth shut. As I blankly stared at her, her cheeks turned red.
“Don’t think anything weird. I’ve never even had a boyfriend.”
“T-That’s right. Then what is all this about?”
“The upper management kept clinging to me, telling me not to retire.”
“…Hmm.”
“So, I just told them I was pregnant. They couldn’t say anything after that.”
Although it was somewhat surprising, it made sense. Despite sealing the Demon King, she was still considered a monster or something similar.
Of course, they wouldn’t let their top power quit easily. It seemed Noah had lied to get out of it.
They couldn’t force a pregnant woman to fight, after all. If they pushed too hard, it would damage their reputation.
She handled the situation quite cleverly.
That deserves praise, doesn’t it?
“But what does this have to do with me?”
“You’ll come with me for the next check-up. To confirm whether there’s really a baby or not.”
“So that’s why…”
“Ah~ Is there anyone who can help me?”
“Hey, wait a minute.”
A chill ran down my spine.
Suddenly, a dreadful thought crossed my mind.
Could she possibly be thinking…
“…You’re not… No, I must be imagining things.”
“…Hehe.”
“Am I wrong? Huh?”
“No, Big Brother’s thoughts are correct.”
This is insane.
“Big Brother.”
“Uh… uh?”
“Hug me.”
Ding!
The characteristic transformation sound of a magical girl rang out. With it, Noah’s clothes changed; her frilly dress transformed into a tight white outfit.
The revealing attire she rarely wore, her long flowing hair down to her waist, her eyes shimmering like pink diamonds.
Even under the moonlight, which acted as a spotlight, her figure was breathtakingly exposed without any filter.
Without fail, any man would drop their guard at such beauty.
But to me, she looked like a demon.
One that was about to devour me. Or rather, eat me alive?
Regardless,
“Calm down, Noah.”
“You’ll help me retire, right, Big Brother?”
“Options… I need options too!”
“Options? Hmm…”
Upon hearing my words, Noah paused for a moment as if considering.
“Hehe.”
She gave a sinister smile.
“Options are for the strong, honey.”
“Wha…”
It was something I could never have imagined. Even if I told my past self, he’d probably laugh it off as nonsense.
Shin Hyun, a man reincarnated into a magical girl game filled with bad endings.
Avoiding the bad endings by becoming the villain and helping the girl, only to end up with a bed ending.
“Why…”
Why had everything turned out this way?
