It was just an ordinary day.
There were no special events. The day I received my Ph.D. The day my advisor, who was leaving work, suddenly passed away in a traffic accident.
The day a strange girl stared at me from the mirror in the funeral home bathroom. It was a day so strange that it felt utterly ordinary.
The first mourning (初喪), and the supernatural (超常).
That was my encounter with the supernatural, as I remember it.
