So-called unfamiliar ceilings… there’s a saying like that, right? I used to think that kind of talk was so cliché while reading novels. How bored do you have to be to say something like that?
But then, such a situation actually came knocking at my door. I could understand the feelings of the protagonists who said those things.
‘It’s an unfamiliar sky…’
Although it wasn’t a ceiling but the sky, seeing two red planet-like celestial bodies embedded in the sky, different from the modern world, I couldn’t help but think that.
Wait, does it even make sense for two moons to be hanging in the sky? If science geeks came to this world, they’d probably foam at the mouth and have a fit, saying this is impossible.
But there wasn’t much for me to do in this forest. In modern society, I could feel the dignity of a modern person lying comfortably in bed, but alone in this strange and scary forest, I was nothing more than easy prey.
I walked through the forest, feeling like my perspective had somehow lowered. Despite the darkness, I could see the forest quite well, which also made me feel uneasy.
Rustle, rustle…
Then, a low sound of something brushing against the bushes reached my ears. It was definitely an animal or a monster. My pace quickened even more.
In this world where being caught meant certain dismemberment, I pushed my running speed even further. But for some reason, I wasn’t going as fast as I should have been.
‘I have to escape!’
Running away from the unknown was unfamiliar to me, so I clumsily scrambled without knowing where to go. And I could feel the rustling sound getting closer and closer.
In the midst of a desperate crisis as something approached, it finally came close to me. But it wasn’t a monster or an animal. Thankfully, it was another person.
Breathing a sigh of relief, I tried to ask the person who appeared to save me. But upon closer inspection, the strangers were holding blood-stained knives and all had unusual appearances.
Terrified, I burst into tears, turned around, and quickly ran away. But with my short legs, I was caught by the huge strangers.
“Please save me! I’m sorry!”
“Ah… Aah…”
Instead of proper Korean, strange, incomprehensible words poured out of my mouth. Luckily, the strangers didn’t seem intent on killing me, as they grabbed my waist and hoisted me onto their side. Then they carried me off somewhere.
“Aah!!!”
I tried to scream for help, but only weird words came out. My cries were nothing but empty echoes.
