Chapter 50

“Collection use.”

“Collection release.”

I test the collection’s potential in various ways with Banetta.

During the testing, I briefly checked on Edward since it felt like I was neglecting him too much…

“Hmm, the Invaders’ weapons are truly impressive. Should I lick it to memorize its taste and scent…?”

Since he was muttering to himself, I decided to ignore it.

“How about it, Edu?”

“It’s the same.”

“Hmm, so the limit for the same type is indeed five units?”

“Yes, it seems so.”

Continuing the checks and various attempts, the results we learned were diverse.

First, the collection has a space limit.

Only twenty large Walker weapons could be stored, but it was clear that around thirty tanks could fit.

The free space in the collection is roughly estimated to be about a quarter of a sports field, but since the interior of the collection cannot be directly observed, it’s not accurate.

Next are the limitations. Firstly, the same weapon type can only have up to five stored, and any more cannot be stored regardless of available collection space.

“Unsurprisingly, ordinary items can’t be stored?”

Regarding AOE, items or miscellaneous things like that still can’t be stored.

Hmm, I was hoping to collect various expendables I had lying around if they could fit in the collection space. This is quite disappointing.

“Yes, but weapons still work.”

Additionally, we learned something new: weapons can be stored in the collection.

From everyday items like kitchen knives to proper weapons like pistols and rifles, and even heavy equipment such as rocket launchers and machine guns — anything can be stored in the collection.

The only strange part is that gears aren’t treated as armaments, so they cannot be stored.

“Why can’t gears be stored?”

“That’s true.”

“Anyway, have we tested everything? Is there anything else we need to confirm?”

“Yes.”

Although the “Applied Effects – None” section below the collection window slightly bothered me, after testing with the numerous weapons here, we couldn’t find any clues.

So, have we roughly checked everything? As I ponder this, something I forgot comes to mind.

“Oh, right, Ms. Banetta. There’s also something called the Bestiary that opened up-”

“Hmm? Bestiary?”

“Yes. It’s an ability I gained after dealing with the Cryptid Colony, but I’ve never used it.”

“Is that so? Let’s check it out now?”

“Yes.”

After answering Banetta, I call up the ID to check.

“ID, can you show me the stat window?”

[Code verification, visualizing and displaying the status.]

Poof, the stat window appears in front of me.

“Hmm, it’s increased quite a bit.”

Although my INT and MP have dropped significantly without wearing the Fangju Commander Set, my overall stats are rising steadily.

However, the skill points (SK) seem to have been spent as much as they’ve been earned, resulting in a consistent total of 14.

In any case, after verifying my own growth, I move my gaze down and two words catch my eye.

Bonus, Achievements.

“Ah, right, I’ve gained achievements too?”

Touching the ■ next to Achievements reveals the hidden content.

——————————————————–

Achievements

——————————————————–

Cleaner – ST +5 / STR +5

Resistance – DEF +5

——————————————————–

As expected, stats meant for physical characters. The reason I don’t pay much attention to achievements is because of this.

The achievements available in the early stages of the game are mostly stats that physical characters require.

Of course, in the long run, those stats will be beneficial, but there’s no need to go out of my way to achieve them during the busy early game.

Yet, STR at 6.

An incredible 600% increase in strength from just 1!

Today, I’m 600% stronger than I was yesterday!

…Still, it’s only a single digit.

Now that the achievements are confirmed, I touch the bonus section where the Bestiary that we wanted to check is located.

——————————————————–

Bonus

Additional element – Collection.

Additional element – Bestiary.

——————————————————–

Hmm, it’s the Bestiary.

“Bestiary use? Activation?”

– Activating the Bestiary feature.

Casually speaking, a short notification appears, and the stat window disappears, bringing up a new screen.

The window resembles the collection window. Touching the ▼ that contains content reveals hidden information.

——————————————————–

Cryptids ▽

——————————————————–

Biter (Investigation 21%) – The lowest tier melee entity. ▼

Side (Investigation 5%) – A close-range entity.

Spitter (Investigation 3%) – A ranged entity.

Queen (Investigation 1%) – Center of the group.

——————————————————–

“Whoa-”

The names and simple information of defeated enemies are displayed.

“Why is that, Edu?”

“It seems to be a Bestiary.”

As I answer and touch the ▼ next to Biter, the hidden information is revealed.

——————————————————–

Cryptids ▽

——————————————————–

Biter (Investigation 21%) – The lowest tier melee entity. ▽

The most basic combat entity within a Cryptids group, operating in large numbers.

——————————————————–

The low gauge meant there was little additional information, but the higher one had some details written like flipping through a setting book.

“Information about the enemies we defeated and their details are noted here.”

“That’s quite unique, some kind of information gathering function, perhaps?”

“It seems so. However, since the investigation is still minimal, there’s no additional significant information.”

The only content with details I recognized was the information about Biter, and the rest was just theoretical classification.

“I see.”

“Yes, judging by this, the more of the same entities we defeat, the more information we gather. So, after defeating many enemies, it would be best to check later.”

“Understood. So, shall we conclude our investigation of Edu’s abilities here? Is there anything else we need to confirm?”

“Yes.”

Since we’ve already adequately checked, I nod, and Banetta’s face forms a wicked smile.

“Then, let’s plan how to retaliate against that brat?”

“Yes!”

“What’s your plan?”

“I intend to hide Invader tanks and armored vehicles in that person’s garage and let the Fangju guards find them.”

“Ah, you’re using the guards as evidence?”

“Yes.”

Possessing Invader items is problematic, but if the inspection guards discover Invader equipment directly, it becomes an undeniable piece of evidence.

“Not a bad plan, but it seems a bit lacking in impact…”

“Is that so?”

“Leave that part to me. By the way, do you know where that person lives?”

“No, I don’t know that much… However, considering their arrogance and extravagance, I think they might live somewhere in Sunrise Street.”

Even though I said that, considering their personality, they are 100% living in the affluent area of Sunrise Street. My prediction that they would have a garage is related to this.

“I see. Then, I’ll investigate the smaller details, but can you check that person’s daily routine, Edu? Can you verify with those small drones?”

“Yes, I’ll try.”

“Then, I will modify the tank and armored vehicles with the girl’s help. Let’s meet here every evening to discuss the plan.”

“Yes!”

Days pass quickly.

And finally, Saturday morning arrived after a long wait.

Edward and I, wearing very common Fangju clothes, stood in front of Banetta.

However, the atmosphere was far from casual.

The air in the warehouse was filled with a solemn determination, much like the front lines before a great battle.

“Alright, Edward. Report on equipment check!”

“Wireless terminal, smoke grenades, emergency taser gun, all are functioning properly!”

Edward saluted sharply.

“Good, Edu. Report on equipment check!”

“Wireless terminal, tanks and armored vehicles in the collection are all functioning properly!”

“Great!”

Banetta clenched her fist.

“After a long time, my comrades, the time has finally come to show that villain their place!”

“Waaaah!!”

A shout from the bottom of my heart, and Edward responds to me. Banetta smiles contentedly at our reactions.

“Then, Edu, Edward. Are you ready to taste the sweetness of revenge?”

“Yes, Ms. Banetta!”

She nods at our loud response.

“Alright, everyone, board the vehicle! Let’s go and secure victory!”

“Yes!”

Age of End, or AOE for short. It was an apocalypse game notorious for its insane difficulty and overflowing with clichés—but to me, it was an absolute masterpiece. Yeah, that is… until I found myself reincarnated into it. With things as they are, I’ll have to put all the knowledge I’ve honed to good use… But wait, why am I a loli girl?!
