Chapter 260: Great Disaster Approaching
It’s actually her!
This demoness is indeed in Peace City.
Chen Ansheng flashed and quickly opened the cave’s seal.
What entered his sight was a woman who appeared to be around twenty-four or twenty-five, tall and voluptuous, wearing thin clothing that was quite alluring.
Without saying a word, Chen Ansheng grabbed the woman’s arm and dragged her into the cave, sealing the door behind them.
“Come on, let me embrace you well, Junior Brother.”
Chen Ansheng wrapped his arms around Zhong Li’s waist, wanting to press against her voluptuous figure.
“Get lost!”
Zhong Li pushed Chen Ansheng away with one hand against his shoulder.
“Don’t be like that, Senior Sister. It’s been so long since we last met; you should show some reaction. Besides, when I was on the verge of death back then, now that you see me alive and well, shouldn’t you be overjoyed and rush into my arms in tears?”
Chen Ansheng said jokingly.
“I thought you had changed, but it turns out a dog can’t change its habits.”
Zhong Li remarked.
Seeing the energetic Chen Ansheng, she felt incredibly happy deep down.
However, right now, she was restless and frustrated, with no other thoughts in mind.
Seeing Zhong Li’s serious and indifferent expression, Chen Ansheng lost interest.
“How did you find me?”
“This young lady has her own tricks; no need to ask too much.”
In fact, as half a servant to Chen Ansheng, Zhong Li’s connection to him was much stronger than his connection to her.
Previously, when surrounded in Ziyun Cave, even after Chen Ansheng disappeared, Zhong Li could sense he was still alive despite the distance.
Thus, when Chen Ansheng first entered Peace City, Zhong Li had already sensed his location.
“Sigh, I’ve gotten into trouble.”
Seeing Chen Ansheng’s disinterested demeanor, Zhong Li poked him with her elbow.
Chen Ansheng’s heart sank, “Did you kill someone?”
Zhong Li glanced at Chen Ansheng, “Seems like you know me pretty well.”
Chen Ansheng rolled his eyes, “Isn’t that obvious?”
So it’s really her, killing eight people in Peace City; that’s just great.
Zhong Li smiled lightly, “You’re clever; get me out of the city.”
Chen Ansheng sighed, “I say, Senior Sister, why do I feel like whenever I run into you, it’s never good news? How about this: from today, no, from this very moment, let’s sever ties and never see each other again.”
“Damn you!”
Zhong Li jumped up, grabbing Chen Ansheng by the neck.
“Back then, I saved your life several times, and now that I’m in a bit of trouble, you want to sever ties and run away? No way! Unless you’re dead!”
Chen Ansheng instinctively pushed Zhong Li away, but accidentally pressed his hand against her chest. With a slight exertion, the soft and bouncy sensation sent shivers through him.
The two stood in a stalemate, and Chen Ansheng said, “I’m really at my wits’ end; you call this a small matter? Do you know who rules this city? If you break their rules, you’ll be finished, and I might end up getting killed too. How can I help you?”
“Cut it out!” Zhong Li tightly wrapped her arms around Chen Ansheng’s neck, afraid he would escape, “Just use that trick of yours to take me out of the city, and then we can sever ties!”
“No way, absolutely not.”
Chen Ansheng shook his head.
“Why not! Do you want to watch me get torn to pieces?” Zhong Li glared at Chen Ansheng.
As their eyes met, Chen Ansheng seemed to catch a glimpse of the dejection in her gaze. He then said earnestly, “That technique only works for me. Forget it; let’s calm down and think of a way together.”
Zhong Li finally smiled and released her grip on Chen Ansheng’s neck.
“Damn you, stupid donkey, taking advantage of me!”
Zhong Li noticed her chest feeling suddenly unburdened and finally realized that the stupid donkey had been pressing against her earlier.
Then, the two sat cross-legged on the stone platform.
“Now tell me what happened?”
Chen Ansheng asked.
Zhong Li pondered for a moment and said, “Well, I’ve already killed someone, and now all the city guards are searching for me. What do you think I should do?”
Chen Ansheng felt a surge of anger, saying, “You know Peace City can’t be reckless; you must have a reason for killing. Tell me what happened!”
“Um…” Zhong Li had never seen Chen Ansheng so serious before, “I discovered a secret I wasn’t supposed to.”
“What secret?” Chen Ansheng asked with curiosity.
“Simply put,” Zhong Li paused briefly, “Peace City isn’t simple. That Snow-Haired Elder is secretly doing something related to Alien Immortals.”
Chen Ansheng’s spirit was instantly lifted upon hearing this.
Zhong Li’s words confirmed his earlier sensing of the Xuanjia Guards that had been correct.
However, Chen Ansheng changed the subject, saying, “But what does this have to do with you? Why bother with it? Just keep your distance and don’t provoke them.”
Zhong Li rolled her eyes at Chen Ansheng, “Dummy, do you think I want to stir up trouble? They came looking for me, alright?”
“Why?” Chen Ansheng asked, confused.
Zhong Li explained, “For all these years, I’ve been traveling across major sacred lands, searching for traces of Alien Immortals, carrying a lot of items obtained from the Alien Immortal Forbidden Grounds, and I have a very noticeable Alien Immortal aura on me. You know this, right?”
“Yeah, of course, I know.”
Chen Ansheng nodded.
“Because of this, I suddenly caught the attention of the Xuanjia Guards, and I was later captured and interrogated!” Zhong Li said.
“I see!”
Chen Ansheng began to understand. It wasn’t that Zhong Li wanted to cause trouble; instead, they were very concerned about the Alien Immortal aura and had targeted her.

“What happened next? How did you escape?” Chen Ansheng asked.
“Escape? Absolutely not,” Zhong Li replied angrily, “I was nearly beaten to death in their prison, and thankfully, that Snow-Haired Elder’s foolish grandson took a liking to me and got me out. Otherwise, I would have been tortured to death long ago.”
Zhong Li spoke of this lightly, but Chen Ansheng could feel the bitterness in her words.
Thus, Chen Ansheng couldn’t help but wrap his arms around Zhong Li’s waist, “You really are fortunate to have survived.”
“Barely,” Zhong Li downplayed it, “Just getting out of the wolf’s den and into the tiger’s lair; that drooling idiot actually wanted to possess me, so I had to kill him.”
Now, it was clear.
Zhong Li had killed the Snow-Haired Elder’s grandson.
“!!!”
This is seriously a huge disaster.
“How are we going to handle this?!”
Thinking of that Peak Immortal King with the military token, Chen Ansheng began to tremble inside.
“What? You think I shouldn’t have killed him and should have acquiesced to that idiot?”
Zhong Li turned her gaze, staring intently at Chen Ansheng.
“Absolutely not!” Chen Ansheng blurted out, “If it were me, I would fight back!”
“That’s more like it.”
Zhong Li smiled knowingly.
After a moment of silence, Zhong Li continued, “By the way, I learned from that idiot that the Snow-Haired Elder seems to be involved in some dealings with an Alien Immortal, and it involves another Peak Immortal King outside the Sea of Sinful Dragons. If you can relay this information to him, that force might attack Peace City, and perhaps I’ll still have a chance at survival.”
