Chapter 153

The drunken man woke up to find something small nestled in his arms. It was covered in what looked like white yarn, so delicate and fragile that it seemed like it might burst at the slightest touch. He was curled up, and it was curled up within him.

The yarn-like thing was wearing only a thin white shirt. It had no bottoms, leaving its underwear exposed.

At first, the man couldn’t comprehend the situation. He simply held onto what was in his arms without a second thought. But as the haze of alcohol began to fade, his vision cleared, and his judgment returned. Soon, he realized the situation he was in.

In his arms was a girl, wearing nothing but underwear and a white shirt, curled up.

And that girl was me.

Fuck.

The first thing he did after regaining his senses was to immediately push Seol-guk away from his embrace. He carefully extricated himself, trying not to wake her, and laid her down properly on the bed. At least she didn’t seem like she would wake up anytime soon.

Holding his throbbing, dizzy head, he checked his own condition. Thankfully, he was still fully clothed. His clothes were drenched in sweat, but that was a thousand times better than being naked.

Looking around, he saw Seol-guk’s clothes scattered messily on the floor, the same ones she had been wearing yesterday. He leaned in close to her sleeping face and sniffed. There was a strong smell of alcohol. Had she been drinking? But since she had been in his arms, the smell could have come from him.

But there’s no way she would have crawled into his arms sober. He went to the living room to check the kitchen. There, he found half-eaten snacks and a single empty glass rolling on the floor.

She drank, that brat.

A sigh escaped him, really.

He had heard that she had never drunk alcohol before. So, he didn’t know her actual tolerance, but it was ridiculous to think that someone who looked like that could hold their liquor.

He didn’t know how much she drank, but she drank enough to get drunk and crawled into his bed. And of all people, he was there.

Returning to the room, he found Seol-guk lying there just as before, having pushed aside the blanket he had hastily covered her with.

“Ugh… it’s hot…”

Maybe she had a fever from the alcohol. Her slightly flushed face didn’t show any pain, but it seemed like she had thrown off her clothes in her sleep because she was hot.

First, he picked up Seol-guk’s scattered clothes. They were all soaked in sweat and cold to the touch. He carried them to the laundry basket in front of the washing machine and sat down on the living room sofa.

First… how much did I drink yesterday? Of course, he couldn’t remember, but it was definitely more than three bottles, possibly even four. Normally, Seol-guk would have stopped him before it got to this point, so why had she let it go this far?

And why did she drink in the first place? Was it because she hadn’t had any in so long that she couldn’t resist? She wasn’t the type to enjoy drinking that much. The only times she drank enough to get drunk were when they drank together. She wasn’t the type to keep drinking without realizing she was getting drunk.

There’s no way she would have passed out after just one drink.

Suddenly, she drank, and she didn’t stop him from drinking too much. The only conclusion he could draw from this was…

Did I say something weird that pissed her off?

What did I say yesterday? He didn’t remember saying anything particularly significant. He mentioned possibly going to America, talked about a competition… oh, did he mention Seollin? He couldn’t remember clearly, but he thought he did.

No matter how much he thought about it, there wasn’t anything that would have upset Seol-guk. It was more likely that he had been so drunk that he annoyed her.

At least she didn’t vomit, so that was a relief. Or did she? Did she get pissed off because she had to clean up after vomiting?

And then, throwing off her clothes because she was hot… he had a feeling she would freak out when she woke up and saw her state. At least, since they were a man and a woman, she might suspect something had happened.

But that was such a ridiculous thought that he didn’t need to worry about it.

He didn’t have any female friends. It wasn’t because he disliked women, but simply because he hadn’t met a woman worth being friends with yet. Senior Su-Young was quite nice, but her possessive attitude made her seem less intelligent, so their relationship didn’t progress beyond a certain point. He hadn’t seen her recently either.

There had been many discussions about whether a man and a woman could be just friends, but he didn’t need to worry about that. He didn’t have any female friends.

So, at least, he didn’t have to worry about anything happening with a friend.

And that was a proposition that wouldn’t change, even if Seol-guk had become a woman now.

It wasn’t that friends couldn’t become lovers. He had never thought about it, so it wasn’t his concern.

The reason was really simple.

She wasn’t his type.

He reflected on his preferences. First,

He preferred someone over 160 cm tall. The cutoff was around the mid-150s, but anything below that was too short. A girlfriend who was 30 cm shorter than him? That was a no-go.

Of course, she had to be beautiful. Small head, sharp eyes, and a small mouth would be nice. But as long as she was beautiful, he could overlook minor preferences. After all, if she was pretty, small preferences could be ignored.

He liked someone who looked young but not too young. Too youthful was a turn-off. Moderate was good. A good sense of style was a plus. A woman who couldn’t dress well looked really ugly.

The most important thing was her chest. The bigger, the better. It was fun to touch and nice to look at. Small chests were hard to deal with, but no chest? That’s not a woman.

And… he didn’t like stupid women, but smart women were annoying. He wanted someone just stupid enough for him to tolerate. A lot of aegyo was good, and common sense was a must. There shouldn’t be too many ignorant women.

He didn’t think he was that picky. He had actually met quite a few women, and he had even overlooked one or two flaws. In any case, the women within his reach at least met more than half of these conditions.

And Seol-guk… sigh, it was ridiculous even talking about it.

She was less than 150 cm tall and cute, but… she looked more like a cute girl than a beauty. And that meant she looked really young. If he said he was dating her, he’d probably be arrested under the Juvenile Protection Act. Sense of style? He and Hye-won picked out her clothes. Sometimes her other acquaintances did too.

Her chest was out of the question… she was so skinny that there was nothing to touch. Of course, Seol-guk wasn’t stupid… she sometimes seemed dumb after becoming like this, but she was basically smart and thoughtful. Except during her period.

Summarizing this, he concluded that there wasn’t a single element in Seol-guk that matched his preferences.

Seol-guk was definitely a good friend. But she could never be seen as a woman, as a romantic interest. Maybe things would change as she grew older, but for now, it was out of the question. Besides, she wasn’t originally a woman.

Why was he even worrying about making excuses for Seol-guk? Suddenly, his headache got worse. The hangover was really… damn.

The smell of alcohol was the main problem. It was making his headache worse. He needed to wash up. First, wash up and then think. No, don’t think. What kind of excuse is this, damn.

His clothes were… soaked in the smell of alcohol and sweat, they were a mess. He knew Seol-guk’s old clothes were still in the closet. He’d just change into those.

He let hot water run over his head in the bathroom. His thoughts began to clear a bit. The remaining alcohol must have been messing with his head. He’d finish washing up, clean himself up, and then go out.

Just as he thought that,

Ding-dong.

The doorbell rang.

~

Seol-guk was still asleep, so it should be fine. Even if she woke up from the doorbell, she would know better than to go out looking like that.

Whoever was outside would leave if they waited, so he didn’t need to worry about it. He couldn’t answer the door since he was washing up. Whoever it was, sorry, but just go away. If it was Muk Ha-neul, he wouldn’t feel sorry anyway.

He continued to rinse off leisurely. There was nothing to worry about. At least, that’s what he thought until then.

“Waaaaah!!!!!”

A high-pitched female voice rang out. And before that voice, there was the unmistakable sound of the door opening. What? What’s going on? Did Seol-guk wake up? No way?

He was too flustered to understand the situation clearly, but the one thing he knew for sure was that something had gone terribly wrong.

Thinking about it, she had been drunk and passed out. Could she still be under the influence?

No, there was no time to think. He quickly rinsed off, dried himself, and put on Seol-guk’s old clothes he had prepared. There was no time to dry his hair.

With a towel on his head and wearing Seol-guk’s old clothes, he went out to the living room, where Seol-guk was still half-asleep but slightly awake…

And sitting on the sofa with Seol-guk in her arms was a woman with an enormous chest.

For a brief moment, his eyes naturally went to her chest, and when he looked up, he saw her face.

The woman was looking at him like he was some kind of human trash not worth acknowledging. And the reason probably wasn’t because he had looked at her chest.

Fuck.
