The thirty-first chapter: Ash Wanted to Be a Partner of Justice!
Trusting in his own self-righteousness, Ash once again lost to the miracles invoked by the simple-minded girls. Later, he thought about it and wasn’t surprised at all.
Originally, even if defeated by the power of miracles, acknowledging them was not enough for him to believe in them. In fact, his stubbornness was unexpectedly high.
However, unexpectedly, that pink Precure, Miyuki Hoshizora, with her foolishly sincere heart, moved his hopeless heart.
Acknowledging his mistakes and failures and taking lessons from them are also critical steps towards a good ending.
Therefore, after being persuaded, instead of becoming partners, they became temporary allies on the same battlefield. Initially, Ash thought this would be very troublesome as he was accustomed to taking the path of villains and hadn’t tried joining so early. However, later, he discovered that being a good person seemed quite enjoyable.
“Another new ClownMonster? They are quite diligent, wanting to put up flags for their boss.”
In a deep purple “tragic ending” dimensional space, Ash, undisturbed, casually walked through the people who were collapsing or fainting, moving like a lurking dragon in the darkness. He jumped through the shadows between buildings in an unimaginable way and stood at a high edge suitable for a jump of faith.
Under his feet was the familiar overworked werewolf, below which two Precures were transforming, and a ClownMonster just waiting for the transformation to end.
“ClownMonster!”
Sky blue, grass green, the original tragic kingdom’s plan to revive Emperor Pierrot was nearly complete, but due to the tragic emperor’s tragic energy being stolen by some wicked force, the tragedy kingdom’s officers had to start anew to summon ClownMonsters and battle the Precures to collect energy.
Upon hearing from Joker that their efforts were for naught, the three officers of the tragedy kingdom took on a crestfallen expression, needless to say, their morale plummeted.
Observing the battlefield that had changed from five against one to two against one because of his presence, Ash nodded with a determined gaze, loosening his fingers from under his chin.
“It seems it’s now time for me, Kamen Rider, to make my appearance.”
Feeling something foul nearby, Wolfrun’s entire body bristled.
“Miyuki!” To dodge the ClownMonster’s massive red fist, Rihua leaped back and instructed her companion. “We will attack it from both sides next!”
“I’m coming!”
Having received Ash’s promise of support, Miyuki confidently made a show of flexing her non-existent muscle on her slender arm before swinging it like a windmill and charging toward the monster.
Now we don’t need Mr. Ash; the two of us can defeat the ClownMonster!
“Yah yah yah—”
Just as Miyuki, fully committed, was about to hit the ClownMonster, a “cannonball” exploded from within the creature, directly hitting the girl’s body in plain sight, sending her flying back.
“Miyuki—!”
Rihua, worried over her comrade’s failure, hurriedly looked towards Miyuki’s direction, only to be caught in a flaw exploited by the ClownMonster. Rihua, previously uncaught, was also sent flying along with the unexpected incident.
“Ouch… It hurts a bit… but not as much as I expected.”
It must be said that, back then, she endured pain to defeat Ash, being struck almost to the point of torture by the sharp Sword of Light.
Only after the battle did she realize the severity of her injuries, crying in pain and nearly fainting, though she recovered after Ash’s treatment. When she got home, though, her mother saw her mummy-wrapped condition, nearly collapsing herself.
Since her battle with Ash, besides other improvements, she greatly improved her tolerance to pain.
“Miyuki, can you still fight?”
“No use, even if you can continue fighting! There are only two of you!”
Seeing himself gain the upper hand, Wolfrun disregarded his nagging instinct, entering an arrogant state instantly. “With three less than usual, do you think you can defeat my ClownMonster with such a force?”
“Don’t underestimate us with wolf eyes. Even with just me and Beauty’s strength alone!”
As a girl whose simplicity managed to floor Ash, Miyuki was completely unaffected by Wolfrun’s taunts. She brushed off her skirt and stood up, pointing at him with one finger. “We’ll continue to fight your Tragic Kingdom, bearing the others’ spirits!”
Indeed, giving up in the face of adversity is not what the pink Precure, the red combatant, nor the protagonist, Kamen Rider, would do. With just two of them, the girls struggled once more against the huge ClownMonster.
“Considering it’s a purely mental state, could it be maintained normally?” Ash thought of the fleeting glimpse of those wings on her back, reminiscent of a goddess. He shook his head in resignation. “Well, it isn’t unheard of, getting used to it… Next…”
“Gah—”
The ClownMonster’s strength overwhelmed them. Without finding any weakness, Rihua had to deflect an attack meant for Miyuki, her arms shaking from the force of holding down punches like a steamroller. Despite standing firm, her long legs were pushed deep into the ground with great force.
With just two of us, it’s too much pressure? Mr. Ash… Who said he’d join us and fight together. Where is he when the enemy comes?
“Ash-san!”
Miyuki’s cry not only snapped Rihua out of her reverie but also disrupted the rhythm of the battle. Both the girls and the ClownMonster turned to where Miyuki’s alarmed voice came from, revealing an embarrassingly awkward scene.
Wangjian, who had already transformed, somehow snuck up behind Wolfrun, his dark katana Moon Dark gleaming brightly under the raised fur of the werewolf, positioned at its neck.
“ClownMonsters below, hear me!”
“Answer clearly; surrender or fight to the end!”
