One Hundred Fifty-Seven: Great Monster Fighting Evolution
Slowly turning around, the desert demon eyed its equally formidable match, Qijiera. With the extermination of “Green” as its mission, there was no way for it to ignore the largest existing plant on Earth right now. After letting out a terrifying roar, every step it took turned the surrounding ground into a gloomy color. Wrapping up an irresistible impact, the desert demon charged straight into Qijiera.
“—”
Silent roars seemed to resonate in everyone’s hearts like tiny ants caught beneath, pushing Qijiera nearly over.
If it was almost that, it’s because the deeply rooted Qijiera wouldn’t be uprooted unless a passing light giant or super robot came into play.
Tendrils shot out from various parts of her body, embedding themselves into the vacant land nearby, akin to human muscles coiling and tightening. The composite tendrils, rigidly stopping the opponent, made Qijiera raise her whipping branches, striking the desert demon backward with a sharp sound as it reeled backwards several steps.
“What the heck is this? This must be an OOO battle scene from a Kamen Rider movie!”
Watching the spectacular fight of the two giant monsters overhead, Erika couldn’t help but comment.
Yet, she failed to notice that beneath her feet, a small pale yellow flower quietly emerged.
Qijiera, at most just a resuscitated plant, despite once overwhelming a giant, didn’t have the hard strength to compete against the desert demon, who possessed the power to cleanse the earth.
However, at that moment, a standoff occurred. Because at this moment, she wasn’t fighting alone!
With invisible power continuing to pour into her from her roots, more tendrils extended from deep within the ground, wrapping her even thicker, standing proudly. Near her head, flower buds burst forth with magnificent green leaves. In the structure beneath her floral crown, constituted by countless green plants, energy flowed; a faintly red core shone with a delicate pulsation, like the heartbeat of a heart.
When compared to her original form, this plant monster was more reminiscent of her next-door neighbor—Bio-Orange.
“That makes sense, after all, Qijiera is indigenous to another planet, and now she’s fighting against extraterrestrial invaders attempting to destroy Earth,” Ash mused to himself.
As a counterpart similar to Guya and Araya, including this flower as part of herself and giving it strength fit into the narrative appropriately.
What answer would this selection make for the future?
The battle wasn’t over yet. The struck desert demon unexpectedly radiated a black beam from atop, causing visible withering in Qijiera upon impact.
“She’s the one I raised—not letting you bully her!”
Seeing Qijiera waver in distress, Lei leaped forward, swinging a punch at the desert apostle like a needle against wheat, landing her puny punch on the monstrosity’s head.
Surprisingly, such an act by the ant versus the tree ended with Lei’s powerful fist pushing back the far larger desert demon. The withering beam scattered upward.
“I knew it! Lei, though seemingly weak, has abilities others can’t compare.”
No response came to Ash’s questioning query.
Where had Kayin gone?
Leveraging Lei’s assault, freeing itself, Qijiera sprang into action, extracting numerous tendril tentacles whose tips revealed fang-like structures, looping around Lei to firmly grip the limbs of the desert demon.
“Ahh!”
Lei seemed shocked by what appeared to be a horrifying transformation of her cultivated plant.
“—”
Struggling to break free, she strained yet found no success.
Continuing with the advantage, Qijiera opened up additional jets from her body, spraying a thick, sulfur-smelling yellow liquid onto the desert demon, instantly engulfing it in an intense burning odor. The outer layer of armor, as black as a night, corroded before the attacks.
“Looks like that black monster is showing weakness. Moonlight, what do we do next!”
“Next, we might need to gather our powers…”
Just as Rei and the other two girls gathered, Ash, exuding heavy oppression, blocked their path, forcing them into combat stances.
“Ash—Timons, trying to stop us again?”
“No.”
Turning abruptly towards the desert demon above, he left his back exposed to the Pretty Cure team, drawing his side wicked seal.
“You’ve shown something quite impressive, let me repay you with a finisher.”
His hand sealed it down.
“[Charge]!”
Ash then forcefully pushed the red reinforcement units on both sides of the driver inward. With the display screen flashing violently, the chest armor’s cannon opened, sparking intensely. Electric blue lightning flashed between four glowing compound eyes.
“No chain can bind me.”
Following the guidance from his intertwined hands, lightning converged in front of the cannon, red lights flickered as the energy cycled inside. In his palms, a plasma orb transformed from blue to purple, unstable deep purple lightning crackling as it gathered an immense destructive force.
“Fade away in the horizon of events…”
Transforming Timons’ crimson energy into plasma and intensifying it to miniature black hole levels, this unique energy penetrated defenses, eroding the enemy from within—a move called…
“Collapse Black Hole Cannon, fire.”
“[Scarlet Demons Finish]!”
With a calm tone and the launch of the energy mass, any sound absorbed along its path left cracks of destruction. The dark sphere, nearly tearing space apart, crashed into the demon, distorting its form in an instant.
“…”
Still clear-headed, Rei, Wuki, and Lily witnessed the desert demon crumble like a sand castle swept away by wind.
“What I did seems unrefined.”
Falling short…
“You…”
Didn’t you just say you were our enemy?!
Why do such things now?
How can this all be so confusing!!
