Chapter 35

Extra Case File 35 Pointless Battle

By the time Yu let go, Hana’s cheeks had turned a cute shade of red.

Though touching between girls was normal… being hugged still made her feel shy, no matter what!

No no, back to the main point, the current urgency was to make Yu understand the crisis and step forward, hoping she would rise up in excitement, if even just to prove Doctor Ash’s claim that this would work.

But what should I do? If I need to put myself in danger, pretending to trip—it wouldn’t be convincing enough. What if there’s a curb nearby… No no! Too dangerous and might hurt Yu!

While Hana grappled with these thoughts, screams erupted from a nearby intersection. Terrified passersby were fleeing toward them.

“Hurry, what’s happening over there?” Hana grabbed someone nearby, not expecting such a shocking answer.

“Bad news, Time Fire has gone mad! He’s bringing robots and causing chaos in the streets!”

“What?!”

“Hey, Precure—around?” Ash led his mechanical soldiers, Genitrons, looking bored yet threatening with skyward gunfire, scattering the crowd.

“Come out~ If you don’t show your fighting spirit, I’ll destroy everything!”

Of course, he wouldn’t do it immediately, partly too because it wasn’t necessary. From his past experience, all he needed was an exaggerated act followed by some waiting—

“Wait!”

A pink beam struck a Genitron on the head, its neck sparking as its mono-eye unit flew out, rolling and smoking.

Ash kicked the severed head, cutting power and silencing it.

The sight of red coolant spilling everywhere darkened Hana’s face further, matching the convulsing remains of the robot, as if at a real crime scene.

“Look who’s come.” Ash smirked like a fisherman catching the big catch.

This is simple indeed. Doing extra things can complicate matters.

“!”

As the beautiful pink female landed, surrounding Genitrons raised their guns, encircling Cure Yell.

“You’re here.” Ash waved carelessly at the distant yellow hair, smirking.

“Time Fire! What are you doing? Everyone is frightened, why would you do such a thing?”

Hana wished the answer was better.

“You ask why? To see you, of course! And to duel you!”

Your condition when we first met meant nothing to me. So, having you fight normally, experiencing true power firsthand—that I couldn’t miss.

“This battle has no meaning!”

Wild Flower was speechless. She never imagined such a scenario—a crazed Time Fire, destroying streets, threatening lives.

But this is happening, and the culprit is him! This is no different from a “Final Monster,” driven only by darkness. You are human, aren’t you?

“Meaningless? You think it’s meaningless?”

Leaning against the shop window, Ash watched fleeing customers and chuckled.

“Isn’t it? Though I don’t fully get about fire, but!” Hana flung her hand, revealing others fleeing due to Ash’s madness. “Only “Final Monsters” who destroy the world because of rage are our enemies. Isn’t Time Fire a hero for battling against them?”

“Between us with the same enemy, what’s the point in battling here?”

“Hero… you mention heroes?” Ash pointed at himself strangely, then laughed wildly. “Ha-ha! No, I can’t be a hero, I’m the villain!”

Seeing Wild Flower shocked, Ash went on. “Just consider us enemies since I saved you and later became an adversary.”

“If you really want the answer…”

“Let this battle confirm what fighting means or reveal the futility.”

What a claim to justify violence by praising it!

“If you love fighting, do it to yourself!”

Her liking for Time Fire dropped because of his words and actions. His deeds today angered even the usually peaceful Hana.

“On computers, don’t they have countless fighting games? Enjoy those instead.”

To “confirm” and “reveal the futility” of battles didn’t apply to her. These statements were just flawed logic!

“I dislike deciding fights with keyboards and buttons.”

And it must be you, Cure Yell! You’re important to me! My dance partner can only be you!

“There’s a thrilling high from human-like battles. Once felt, one can’t stop!”

Quickly drawing his silver gun holster, reminiscent of a cowboy shootout, Ash aimed at Cure Yell’s forehead, pulling the trigger of DV Guardian.

Extra Case File 36 Precure’s Jealousy

It felt like in movies, where everything slows down in critical moments. People fleeing with gaping mouths, Genitrons focusing their cameras, the stern expression reflected in Time Fire’s black goggles!

Even the harmful ray could be seen clearly, along with that red energy beam!

Precure’s instinctive reactions were quicker than thinking.

The beam grazed Cure Yell’s leg, but the flash from her body negated impact.

“Hanabi,” Hana stood, gripping her fury tighter.

They yearned for calm lives, no one asked for battle. Time Fire dismissed this, treating daily life as a game. It angered her but also brought a sudden envy.

Regardless of being Cure Yell or Wild Flower, neither liked battles. Yet Time Fire reveled in it!

Why? Why did I fight this hard while he seemed so happy?

Power means duty, yet even so, what about family, friends? Her loved ones would be devastated if she vanished. She struggled but envied Time Fire’s joy now.

“I’ve fought to protect everyone, what is it to you? Are you playing with lives?!”

Her “Miracle Force’s” light gathered an angelic sword.

For peace… no, her own peace if that’s the price!

“Correct, that anger!” Ash mocked. “That righteous path is what I admire.”

Jealousy was hidden, he assumed her anger was for his chaos.

Ash watched the growing intent behind the blade, feeling danger, malice from her tiny body and countless horrors.

Shivers coursed through him, beyond mere excitement. A mix of beauty, bloodlust, triggered something primal.

“You disagree? Normal. Your perspective differs.”

“Come and duel me!”

Silver lips curved under his helmet, a grin hiding his fierce expression beneath.

Such talk inflamed her; his familiar aggression fueled his survival.

“Of course, I won’t blame you, as I’ve many faults.”
