Chapter 338

Chapter 338. Gahhhhhhh! (4)

And after about another 30 minutes, the remaining three destroyers that had been desperately trying to evade were also ultimately annihilated.

Because of this, the gaze of Princess Luka, who had been watching beside me, became increasingly sharp and piercing…

**<Event>**

**<My babies...>**

**<Content>**

Even though sufficient compensation was received, it seems that half of the monster fleet she had so carefully nurtured was completely wiped out.

The look Princess Luka is giving you is far from pleasant, no matter how you look at it.

**<Result>**

The trait “Wiped Out the Princess’s Fleet” has been added to your trust relationship with the “Space Monster”!

**<Wiped Out the Princess's Fleet> : Trust -1**

**<Current Trust Relationship with the "Space Monster"> : +103**

Perhaps this is a kind of warning not to wipe out the fleet like this again in the future.

Naturally, as the event message popped up, I simply nodded my head in acknowledgment.

But thanks to our sacrifices, the fleet led by Arcadia was going absolutely wild, like fish in water.

A 2.5x difference in power?

In front of a user who climbed the ranks purely through skill, what can a mere 2.5x difference even do?

Especially since that power difference was achieved by me sacrificing the entire fleet in a mutual destruction strategy.

– “Commander, we only have 10 spatial torpedoes and 24 light torpedoes left.”

“Really? Then use those to target and destroy the propulsion systems of the battleship Arcadia is trying to suppress. The main turrets are too tough anyway.”

– “Understood.”

“Ah, of course, only use the spatial torpedoes for that. Save the light torpedoes for targeting enemy small ships based on the situation.”

– “Understood, Commander.”

With most of Nerañzara’s armaments exhausted, we kept exploiting the gaps.

The enemy NPC fleet was in complete disarray, showing a perfect example of chaos, and was being torn apart by Arcadia and me.

Of course, if Ouroboros could just fire its focused main cannon one more time…

Our NPC fleet might pull off a comeback victory, but…

– “Quantum Focus Section secured!”

– “Energy Transfer Conduit section secured!”

– “Ouroboros won’t be able to fire its main cannon anymore!”

“Good.”

It’s not like I didn’t see this coming.

The assault troops I deployed had prioritized securing the sections related to the “main cannon,” so our Ouroboros was reduced to a state where it couldn’t fire its main cannon.

…Though, it’s only the main cannon that’s disabled.

The internal occupation situation of Ouroboros was somehow not going as smoothly as expected.

– “New barricades and defensive forces spotted ahead!”

– “Push forward!”

– “Enemies!”

– “Hold them back! Quickly!”

The troops I deployed were all either from the “Superhuman Corps,” Gryanarr’s custom “Chimeras,” or some hybrid of Chimeras and Superhumans.

Even with Partia, who was practically unscratchable by small fry, acting as the damage sponge…

The internal defense forces were more numerous than expected, slowing down the occupation speed.

Moreover, it seemed like Ouroboros’s command kept sending out support requests.

Some of the enemy ships kept docking with Ouroboros, adding their own defensive troops to the interior.

With all my ships destroyed, I had no reinforcements to spare, making this an incredibly burdensome situation.

At least when Nerañzara still had armaments, I could torpedo those docking ships and blow them up for some sweet satisfaction, but…

– “Commander, Nerañzara reports it has no more armaments left.”

“Can’t we scavenge from the wreckage?”

“Not possible. Cruiser Battleship No. 2 exploded due to an ammunition depot detonation, and the others are too close, aren’t they?”

“Hmm.”

Now, Nerañzara had exhausted all its weapons except for its self-defense interceptor missiles, with no way to replenish them.

Without any means to interfere, the surrounding destroyers and patrol ships kept docking and adding more troops, increasing the pressure on my forces.

Of course, no matter how much the enemy’s numbers piled up…

Each one was at least D-rank.

No, with the tentacle(?) bio-combat suits Gryanarr had poured its heart into creating…

The power of the superhuman army or superhuman-chimeras.

It was literally beyond one against a hundred, you could even say one against a thousand.

While our numerically superior chimeras acted as meat shields, the onslaught of the superhuman army continued.

Despite being considered a special forces unit, the Ouroboros shipboard troops, who had set up temporary barricades and even installed heavy machine guns to resist, were being mercilessly wiped out.

Seeing this, our Jessica tilted her head and her large rabbit ears twitched in confusion.

“Why is it that, unlike the Commander’s reaction, we’re still pushing them back?”

I shrugged at Jessica’s reaction and replied in a calm tone.

“Well, they’re superhumans after all, no matter how weak they are.”

“Huh.”

“They don’t have any special abilities like the ones you get from gacha, and they can’t level up either, so there’s a limit to what they can do.”

Having said that, I thought it would be good for Jessica to know the details, so I decided to open the gallery wiki tab and show her the relevant information.

Title: Thoughts on the Superhuman Soldier Training Facility.txt

Once you build the Superhuman Soldier Training Facility at level 8, it essentially becomes the dividing line between users and NPCs.

Why is that?

Because those superhuman soldiers are on par with the C~D rank superhumans you get from gacha.

You might wonder what the problem is with that.

Even a D-rank superhuman can take on hundreds of special forces troops like the assault units we commonly use.

A C-rank can handle up to a thousand.

So what does that mean?

If you invest enough resources, no matter how well the NPC fleets defend,

if user ships ram into them and superhuman soldiers are thrown in, there’s no stopping it.

Of course, if there’s an A-rank or higher superhuman defending, throwing in regular superhuman soldiers would just be a waste of money.

But if it’s B-rank or below, then it’s worth it.

And surprisingly, many people don’t know this:

Once you build the <Superhuman Soldier Training Facility> at stage 8, C-rank and below superhumans no longer appear in gacha.

Comments:

-[???]

-[Wait, what the hell? The last part?]

-[I was too lazy to build the Superhuman Soldier Training Facility and just kept rolling gacha, and I got 10 D-ranks. Are you telling me I could’ve avoided that?]

-[LMAOOOOOOOOOOOO]

-[You dumbass LOLOLOLOLOLOL]

-[Ah, damn it.]

-[So, just build it, right?]

-[You have to build all the existing buildings anyway to move to the next stage.]

“Look at how many a D-rank superhuman can take on.”

“A D-rank can handle hundreds, and a C-rank can handle thousands.”

“But are the numbers of superhuman soldiers we deployed this time small? Of course, it’s fewer than those defending Ouroboros, but…”

“With the chimeras and superhuman-chimeras combined, it’s around 100,000, right?”

“Yeah, and now with Partia rampaging, there’s no way they can stop us.”

Saying that, I crossed my arms and snorted, to which Jessica nodded in understanding.

Of course, apart from that, she couldn’t understand why I seemed to be reacting with a hint of “fear.”

Hearing Jessica’s words, I uncrossed my arms and pondered for a moment, carefully choosing my words.

Finally, I came up with the perfect word, nodded lightly, and spoke calmly.

“It’s tedious.”

“…”

“Unless there’s a superhuman inside Ouroboros, it’s just a time-waster, and that’s a bit…”

“…”

At my reaction, Jessica made a face that seemed to carry a very complex and subtle emotion, one I had seen before.
