Chapter 192. Ships sometimes make excellent stock market material. (1)
Anyway, with that thought in mind, it’s already been a week since I fully committed to the task.

I’ve been solely focused on building ships for resource transportation, putting everything else on hold.
The once formidable fleet, boasting 3 Cruiser Battleships, 2 Light Aircraft Carriers, and nearly 10 Heavy Cruisers, has now turned into a pitiful sight before my eyes.
“Jessica, what’s the current resource supply status of the fleet?”
“Finally, the daily mineral supply from the resource fleet has exceeded 10,000, and rare resources have hit 2,000 per day.”
“Oh…?”
For some reason, even though the number of Resource Mining Ships is smaller than before, it seems like the supply has slightly increased…
“In addition, the Forward Base you built a few days ago, the resource supply from this base itself, and the average supply from completing quests…”
“Add it all up?”
Jessica, with her large rabbit ears and equally large chest, shook her body and pointed at the hologram like a duelist drawing a card with all their soul.
“Tadaaa! Our daily mineral supply has finally surpassed 20,000!”
“Ah, finally!”
After a week of struggling to even gather 100,000, I’ve now reached the level of a ‘dignified 100,000 owner,’ able to gather around 140,000 casually.
To celebrate this milestone, I decided to throw a small party and, for the first time in a while, try my luck with the gacha.
Of course, Jessica, seeing my actions, immediately tried to dissuade me.
“Commander, why would you ruin a good day like this?”
“Huh…?”
“Even the regular guards and workers at the base know that your causality adjustment luck isn’t great.”
Her dissuasion only sounded like a challenge to me.
So, I decided it was the perfect timing to have a meeting with the <Multi-Dimensional Fixed Causality Generator>.
Of course, there was a reason for this.
“It’s about time we need a new support superhuman, Jessica.”
“Well, that’s true… but isn’t Gryanarr enough?”
“Gryanarr is more of a buff totem and stabilizer for modifications. It doesn’t provide the kind of powerful buffs that can immediately impact battles like I want.”
“Ah…”
Even though Gryanarr has maintained a top-tier position in the support unit category since its release, there’s a limit to the buffs it can provide alone.
“And the ‘support’ or ‘buff’ superhuman I want isn’t just about combat-related buffs… there’s something more important.”
“What’s that, Commander?”
“Resource buffs.”
“Ah, I see.”
The reason I’m lagging behind other users in terms of resources isn’t just because I’m not in a clan. The bigger issue is that, even after almost two years of playing, there hasn’t been a single superhuman with resource-related buffs.
It’s not just about resources, though. The lack of superhumans who can provide ‘support’ or ‘command’ in other areas is becoming a serious problem.
Just look at what happened in the last battle with the Unity Clan. My aircraft were humiliated by just a few hundred planes from a single Light Aircraft Carrier.
Even considering that the enemy’s Light Aircraft Carrier was higher level than mine, the fact that my aircraft, along with those from the Kraken and the captured Light Aircraft Carrier, were overwhelmed clearly shows the importance of superhumans who can buff aircraft.
And even excluding those superhumans, the lack of so-called ‘premium ships’ from the gacha is another glaring issue.
“Think about it, Jessica. What ‘premium ships’ do we even have right now?”
“Huh?”
“Premium ships, the ones we pull from causality fixes.”
“Kraken…”
“And there’s also the Overseer, you know.”
“Besides those two ships, what else is there?”
“…Huh?”
“But what about those Unity Clan guys this time? It seems like each of them is rolling at least 10 high-tier ships from the gacha, right?”
“Ahhhh.”
At that time, I was so busy that I didn’t even have the mental space to calmly report the enemy and deal with it.
I tried to subtly ignore it to avoid being overwhelmed by the opponent’s full ship lineup.
“The opponent not only had Medium Destroyers but also Cruiser Battleships that survived. I wondered why they were so sturdy, but turns out they were gacha ships.”
“Is that so?”
As you can see from the fact that I’m currently using the Light Aircraft Carrier I hijacked, it was just a normal-grade ship.
Anyway, with even the ships they pulled from the gacha getting wrecked left and right, the opponent’s morale must have been completely shaken.
So, naturally, the Kanhel-Class Light Cruiser and Azkran-Class Destroyers I bought from the event shop last time were probably all wiped out too.
As mentioned earlier, to secure the new Superhuman (Supporter) and ships I urgently needed.
I decided to head straight to the gacha room with that dimensional causality thingy.
Along with the 30 gacha pulls I got from daily, weekly, monthly quests, faction quests, and exploration.
And when I thought about it, it wasn’t entirely a dumb move, contrary to what Jessica said.
Recently, I even pulled a Kraken, and there were times when I got lucky fighting 1 vs 5.
The Monster Force, though a small fleet, sent me some decent ships.
‘Goodbye to further misfortune, now is the time for Icarus, the man of luck.’
With that thought in mind.
‘Who am I? The miracle man who pulled a Kraken against a one-in-a-million chance.’
As soon as I arrived at the gacha place, I immediately decided to spin that causality thingy.
Of course, as everyone might have expected, and as always.
Or perhaps, contrary to expectations, I had exhausted all my luck with the things mentioned earlier.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!”
“Poor thing…”
In just 30 seconds, my gacha tickets, which I had saved up for over a month, turned into 10 shiny <Brilliant Resource Boxes>.
And 1 <Brilliant Equipment Box>, 18 <Ordinary Resource Boxes>, and 1 <Ordinary Equipment Box>.
Of course, I couldn’t accept this reality and rolled on the floor, crying my eyes out with snot and tears.
==========
Still, if there’s something I gained from that gacha, it’s that I immediately opened all those resource boxes.

<Opening 10 Brilliant Resource Boxes and 18 Ordinary Resource Boxes.>
<Rewards>
<Obtained 350,120 Minerals and 5,100 Rare Resources!>

For opening 28 resource boxes, the rare resources were a bit too low.
But on the bright side, I got a whopping 350k minerals, which allowed me to upgrade my base to level 7 right away.

<Time remaining until completion: 25 days 4 hours 17 minutes 56 seconds>

Of course, that left my resources completely drained again…
But what can you do? Such is life.
