Chapter 178. In the original universe, you’re supposed to go crazy.
Anyway, while a plan to make Icarus the king of the central zone was unfolding in real-time, complete with secret struggles (?) that I had no idea about, what was Icarus himself doing?
“Ugh, this is so overwhelming.”
For a brief moment, I was enjoying the praise posts—no, the increasingly serious analysis posts—in the gallery. But as always, there are always those who get jealous when someone else does well.
Some trolls started picking fights over the Justice Clan’s clear goal (?) and their praise campaign.

If you’re up against people weaker than you, isn’t it normal to win no matter how many come at you?
No matter how you look at it, it just seems like overhyping~

Including posts like that, fights were breaking out more and more. Some were opposing the so-called “Icarus hype,” while others were becoming what I’d call “popular nicknames.”
After deleting posts from both sides, I tried to steady my shaken mental state by starting the construction of additional cruiser battleships. Then, I blocked all related keywords in the gallery from my perspective and leisurely scrolled through the gallery to find some peace of mind.
And that peace of mind only came after blocking and deleting posts from about 8 grandma-loving trolls for 15 days…
“It’s a bit of a strange thought, isn’t it?”
“What are you talking about, Commander?”
“The scale of the ships and bases around here is just too big.”
“…Oh, yeah.”
In the midst of my dry and devastated heart and mind, a glimmer of light shone through.
It was none other than the various size settings of this game that I hadn’t seen in a while.
Of course, it wasn’t about digging through the wiki tab.

Title: Newbie here, but after getting into this, why are these things so big?
Author: Part-time jobs are hell
Content: [On the deck of what seems to be a battleship]
Our clan leader pulled a battleship, so I went to check it out.
I just casually went down to the deck to take a look, you know?
But why the hell isn’t the bridge getting any closer?
I’ve been walking for 6 hours now, and the ship is like a mirage, not getting any closer.
And I left my communicator on the shuttle, so I can’t even call for help.
If anyone from the Avalon clan sees this, please tell them to come get me.
I’m screaming on the deck, but no one can hear me. Damn it, save me.
Comments:
– [What are you talking about?]
– [Wait, the clan leader’s ship? You’re on the deck, and no one sees you?]
– [I don’t know, I’m shouting and waving my hands, but no one responds.]
– [Getting lost on the clan leader’s battleship deck isn’t easy.]
– [But now that you mention it, the ships in this game are really huge. How big are they exactly?]

Along with that random missing person post, one of the comments seemed to spark something, as an old-timer started explaining the scale settings to the users instead of directing them to the wiki tab.

After seeing that post about a user getting lost on the clan leader’s battleship, I thought I’d write this.
By the way, this game surprisingly doesn’t give exact size settings for ships.
Like some Fx games, they just vaguely mention it, so users either speculate or compare sizes through model extraction.
The problem is, due to game capacity issues, the devs sometimes roughly represent the size of 250mm CIWS on super-large ships, or some things don’t even show up in the model but work in-game, so users often have different interpretations.
But now, that kind of thing doesn’t exist, right?
Anyway, cutting the chatter, there’s one thing in this game that has a ‘detailed’ size setting.
And that’s the basic general-purpose patrol ship that users get first.
So, only the smallest ships in the top 5 have size settings.
The hull length, excluding the antenna or weird structures at the back, purely from the bow to the stern nozzle, is 1.2 km.
The turret has a ring diameter of 100 meters, yeah.
And through these patrol ships, if we roughly measure the size of other ships… it shows how insane the scale of this game is.
Oh, by the way, let me mention that ‘gacha ships’ are excluded from what’s being discussed here.
Their sizes are too inconsistent, so only the user’s basic ships and NPC ships are mentioned.
First, the relatively higher-class escort ships are, on average, at least 1.5 times the size of patrol ships.
Factions also usually maintain between 1.5 to 2 times.
Destroyers are 1.2 to 1.5 times the size of escort ships, with a maximum difference of up to 3 times.
Unlike patrol ships and escort ships, why are destroyers so inconsistent in size?
First, the monsters that serve as destroyers vary greatly in size.
The Earth Federation has destroyers that are 3 times the size of escort ships, while Xenobia has destroyers that are about 1.2 times the size.
It’s somewhat subtle in many ways.
But on average, they are about 1.5 times the size, yeah.
But when it comes to destroyers, light cruisers, and heavy cruisers, the scale suddenly increases, making you wonder what’s going on.
I’ll split this into the next post, it’s getting too long, yeah.
Comments:
– [So, patrol ships and destroyers are 4 times different in size?]
– [No, at most, it’s about 2 to 2.5 times.] (Author)
– [But is the difference that big?]
– [In space, the sense of distance gets messed up, so it’s inevitable, yeah. When you look at the command screen, these guys can be tens of thousands of kilometers apart.]
– [Useful info, upvote.]
– [I didn’t know they were that big.]

Content: [Cruiser setting image]
Hey, I’m here.
Anyway, cutting the chatter, let’s continue with what we were talking about earlier.
To cut to the chase, the reason why cruisers are considered ‘large ships’ is that destroyers are essentially at least 2.5 times the size of patrol ships, as everyone knows from the previous post.
But when a light cruiser is placed next to a destroyer, the size suddenly more than doubles.
That is, it becomes 5 to 6 times larger than a patrol ship.
But that’s just for light cruisers; heavy cruisers are at least 3 to 4 times larger than destroyers.
And this is only calculating the pure hull length, excluding various antennas, gun barrels, and other structures protruding from the ship.
But when it comes to cruiser battleships or battleships, they are at least 2 times larger than heavy cruisers.
To be precise, cruiser battleships are at least 2 times larger, and battleships, while shorter in length than cruiser battleships due to prioritizing armor, are still freaking huge.
And that’s roughly what I’ve figured out so far.
As for ships larger than battleships, no users have drawn them yet, and the users who have them aren’t responding to contacts, so I haven’t been able to confirm.
By the way, some ships don’t follow the above formula.
Take the Overseer that Icarus, who was hot recently, operated; it’s called a heavy cruiser, but in reality, it’s the size of a small battleship.
Comments:
– [Wait, so how big is the battleship that Mia fell from?]
– [If it’s a regular battleship, at least several tens of kilometers.] (Author)
– [I’d starve to death just going to see it.]
– [LOL]
– [Info upvote.]
– [Holy crap.]

‘Oh, was it like that?’
In that situation, while reading a gallery post, I was suddenly mentioned and had to shrug my shoulders, wondering if I’d become a popular nickname again…
Fortunately, it seemed to pass by just as a passing mention, and I nodded in satisfaction, feeling content.
