Chapter 138. Since the mission is complete, I should receive the reward, right? (2)
After suppressing the idea of adding her, who clearly has a very youthful appearance, to the harem.
And after stopping Marian’s natural assassination attempt.
Anyway, I thought the conversation was over, and we could all just go about our business…
“Ah! I almost forgot and was about to leave!”
Princess Luka, who was about to leave after a friendly chat with Oxianor, suddenly remembered something.
She brought up something that was incredibly exciting for me.
“Icarus, remember that thing we brought this time?”
“Ah, yes.”
“That ship is a gift from Her Majesty to you! It was a great help in forming an alliance with the Pirate Alliance, so it’s only right that you receive a proper reward!”
“Oh…”
As Princess Luka pointed to the massive “bio-ship” visible through the command center window.
I could hardly contain my excitement.
But unlike me, Jessica, who was standing next to me, asked with a tone full of suspicion.
“Um… if that’s gone, where will Your Highness and your entourage stay?”
“Entourage? What are you talking about?”
‘Jessica, if you bring that up, what about my ship reward?’
Thanks to Jessica’s comment, I felt the blood drain from my face for a moment.
But Princess Luka, upon hearing Jessica’s words, looked utterly confused.
“Your Highness, what the adjutant of Commander Icarus is saying is that, like the representatives of other factions we’ve seen, you might have a separate ‘entourage.'”
“Ah… you mean those people they drag around everywhere?”
Of course, after hearing Oxianor’s sharp interpretation from behind.
Despite her youthful appearance, it seemed her actual age was just as young, and her lack of experience showed.
But our esteemed Princess Luka quickly grasped the situation and shook her head, saying there was no need to worry about that.
“I understand what you’re saying, but there’s no need to worry about that at all!”
“Huh?”
“We, unlike the Xenobia Empire or the Earth Federation, which are full of empty formalities, prioritize practicality!”
As she said this, she patted her modest chest… no, her carapace dress, and continued.
“My entourage consists of just me and this loyal guard. That’s more than enough!”
“Ah, I see…”
“Besides, the pupa for the ship was brought purely as a gift. There’s no space inside for anything else.”
“Your Highness is right.”
Hearing that, I realized.
The reward mentioned in the quest, <A random ship integrated with monster bio-technology>, was referring to this.
==========
Anyway, after finishing that conversation.
“My guard and I will be staying in the area of this base with the neural network!”
“Will you be staying with Oxianor?”
“Yes! That way, we can maintain the connection with my mother and minimize energy consumption!”
After bowing to Princess Luka, who had given us a random but confirmed “ship.”
As soon as Princess Luka and Oxianor left, I found myself lost in thought, staring at the “giant pupa” docked near the neural network section.
Just by its size, it was larger than our cruiser.
And even larger than the “battleship” that the former Pirate King, now a human pig and Marian’s slave, used to drag around.
As a man, I couldn’t help but dream of a “super dreadnought” filled with massive cannons and grandeur.
Of course, realistically, if they were giving away something like a “super giant monster” for free, the quest difficulty would have skyrocketed.
So, thinking more about reality than dreams, I decided to check the status of this cosmic big-pupa…

<Behemoth-class Mobile Ship Incubation-Growth Platform>
<A massive space pupa used by the "Space Monsters" to incubate and grow ships... or rather, to give birth to and nurture them.>
<Of course, many scientists have questioned why such a thing even exists.>
<Since the ships of the Space Monsters are essentially "living creatures," producing large ships from "nest shipyards" and sending them to the frontlines significantly increases the fatigue of the ships.>
<At the same time, it could also affect the "aging" of the ships, so the monsters came up with a solution.>
<By allowing the relatively slow "large ships" to grow while en route to the battlefield or target area.>
<Once they reach the destination, the fully grown, vibrant "young" large ships are deployed.>
It was something I decided to do.
And what the scientists here didn’t realize was…
That the remaining debris of the cultivation-growth platform also serves as nutrients=supplies for the frontline troops.
Time remaining until ship completion: 12 hours

‘What’s with this setting?’
There were things I hadn’t seen during my time playing the game.
I was just trying to see ‘So, what’s inside?’ but why is the settings window popping up?
From the perspective of a sci-fi nerd like me, this is definitely an interesting story, so I’m just sitting here quietly.
But for others who aren’t into that, it’s a situation that would make them absolutely furious.
I wondered for a moment why this was happening.
But that worry was short-lived.
‘No, I should just go and dig through the wiki tab.’
It’s clear that there’s no point in me agonizing over this alone.
I immediately opened the community window and decided to check the wiki tab for information.
Of course, before that, I had to deal with the pile of reports that had accumulated in the meantime.
On the way to the wiki tab, as soon as the block period ended, I beheaded those damn pedo bastards and gore bugs.
Anyway, passing through a gallery that was like a jungle teeming with poison and beasts, I quickly reached the wiki tab.
After digging through information about our big and beautiful <'Behemoth'-class mobile ship cultivation-growth platform> for a while.
I finally found a post that seemed somewhat decent.

Title: Behemoth-class Mobile Ship Cultivation-Growth Platform
Author: Wiki Officer mk5
Content: [Image of a giant space pupa], [Image of setting text]
I think a lot of people don’t know about this, so I’m writing it.
It was updated about 2 years ago from the day we were possessed by the game.
It first appeared in an event story where space monsters conquer the world.
Anyway, to summarize, it’s like a random monster ship capsule.
Only one cruiser battleship or higher comes out.
Cruisers come out in pairs, popping out like crazy.
But there are downsides: the probability for large ships is ridiculously low.
And second, only monster ships come out.
But since the setting is that ships are ‘cultivated’ inside, it would be weird for ships from other factions to come out.
Comments:
-[Oh, damn]
-[But how do you get this?]
-˪[Users can’t make it; it’s occasionally given out as an event from the monster base](Author)
-˪[Damn, that’s a shame]
-˪[If monster users had this, they wouldn’t have been whining all this time]
-[But the appearance rate itself is ridiculously low]
-[How bad is it?]
-˪[At the time of the game, the cruiser appearance rate was 99% lol](Author)
-˪[Damn.]
-˪[And the remaining 1% is divided among other ships lol](Author)
-˪[99% cruiser, 0.5181% cruiser battleship, 0.4816% battleship, 0.0003% each for dreadnought, assault battle carrier, assault invasion ship]
-˪[The last one is just like a lottery]
-˪[What’s an assault invasion ship?]
-˪[I’ll tell you later when the time is right, now is not the time](Author)
-˪[Damn that green-haired cat]

Somehow, the comments seem richer in content than the post.
Anyway, thanks to that, I learned all the facts I didn’t know, so I gave the post a thumbs up.
‘Since I have no luck, I’ll just make a hellhound Cerberus with the cruisers that come out of that cool space pupa.’
I threw the dream of big ships and big guns straight into the trash and made a plan to strengthen the backbone of my fleet with the two new monster-cruisers.
I planned to have them escort my regular cruiser battleship, which I would build as resources allowed.
But when the next day came and I saw the ‘big and beautiful’ thing that emerged from the pupa.
I had to throw that ‘realistic’ plan straight into the trash.
