The notice felt a bit different from usual, and for a moment, I was startled.
However, unlike others, Jessica, who is uniquely able to see the Status Window in this base, looked at the notice that startled me with a puzzled expression and checked it.
Not long after, she shrugged her rabbit ears and shoulders as if it was nothing and spoke to me.
“Well, it seems like it was written by someone different from before, right?”
“Hmm… That does seem to be the case.”
Feeling like I had unnecessary thoughts, I carefully reviewed the update contents again.
“So, the rankings will be revealed in an hour… That’s it.”
“Yep.”
“Hmm, I hope we at least make it into the top 40-50%.”
“Right, even that would help alleviate some of the hardships we faced in this event.”
After some small talk with Jessica, I immediately opened the gallery window to see how our user friends were reacting to the update.
And as expected, our users, regardless of age or gender, were showing the reactions we had hoped for.

Title: Why is the ranking notice being posted an hour later again?
Author: God of Eromanga
Content: [Event End Notice]
What the hell are they doing?
Even though it’s a trash game, can’t they just post everything at once if they’re going to do it an hour later?
I really don’t get it.
Are they just obsessed with being avant-garde or something?
Comments:

-[If they’re going to post it an hour later, what’s the point of announcing it early? LOL]
-[Maybe they don’t know…]
-[Maybe that’s it…]
-[That’s what ‘avant-garde’ is.]
-[Ah, maybe they don’t know.]

Title: Found out why they added an hour to the notice.txt

These guys initially planned to proceed without any issues, but at the last minute, something went wrong, and they had to fix it.
So, they realized they were running behind schedule and panicked, adding an hour.
If they extend it now, it’ll be legendary, right?
Comments:
-[Genius]
-[Despite the nickname, the analysis is sharp.]
-[Why is the nickname like that?]
˪[Can you handle PashtiraMommaTube?] (Author)
˪[True, after hearing it.]
-[This analysis seems spot on.]
-[Whether it’s the devs or the company, they’ve messed up before, so this makes sense.]

Title: Honestly, if the devs messed up and delayed it by an hour, I’d give it a thumbs up LOL

Title: No matter how I look at it, these guys definitely aren’t the type to get kidnapped and trapped in a game.

I don’t know how they can confidently shout at the people who dragged their minds into the game like that.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

– [Who do you think we are?]

– [Who do we think we are?]
– [Even if we were kidnapped and trapped in a game, we’re just a bunch of jobless folks living day by day?]

– [What the…]

It’s exactly as we expected.
The anger over the delayed update (?) is instantly setting the gallery on fire.
—
“As we expected, there’s a lot of anger over the delayed update notice.”
“Yeah, no kidding.”
Jessica, who was watching this mess unfold in real-time next to me, said that.
I could only nod in agreement.
—
Finally, after an hour passed.
—
[Finally!]
[Finally!]
[The rankings are finally out!]
[LOL please let me be in the top 10%, please!]
[I’m just praying to be in the top 50%.]

The entire chat is buzzing with people.

Title: Is it time for a new wave of mod recruitment?
Author: ㅇㅇ
Content: [Event start notice]
Looks like there are about 10 mods right now.
If 10 more get added, it’s gonna be quite a show.
—
Comments:
– [LOLOLOL]
– [Wait, a community with over 110,000 active users only has 10 mods?]
– [That’s why they’re recruiting more mods this time, right?]
– [They’re quick to ban NSFW posts, isn’t that enough?]
– [No clue.]
—
Even the gallery users are collectively holding their breath, waiting for the update to roll out.
I, too, sat in the command seat, waiting for the event message that would pop up in a few seconds.
—
“This is quite an exciting moment, isn’t it?”
“Yes, Commander.”
—
Even though no one has been updating their average points in the gallery for a while now, making it hard to even estimate.
But no matter how generously you look at it, I was confident we’d at least make it into the top 50%.
So, with a *ding* and a very flashy notification sound, I decided to check the ‘Rankings’ section in the update notice that popped up in front of me.
But at that very moment…
—
<3rd Place. Icarus: 1,517,004 points>
—
‘…Huh?’
For some reason, my points, which were clearly only 697,004, had suddenly increased by 820,000.
I couldn’t help but feel genuinely baffled.
