Chapter 112. The Final Week. (3)
And what I’ve seen so far was just a story from 1-2 hours ago in the current timeline.
Let’s flip the pages forward and take a look at the gallery’s situation, where the real hunt has begun.
As expected, no surprises here.
The gallery’s situation was a frenzy of human hunters who had suddenly gone mad for point hunting, and posts were flooding in, all getting along nicely, suffering from the sudden plundering of users who hadn’t prepared properly.

Of course, it seems that users who switched to being plunderers didn’t always succeed.
Living evidence kept coming up.

So, everyone was plundering, so I just went to plunder a nearby user base.
Turns out, the guy was a member of a huge clan, and the clan fleets came rushing in for support and beat the crap out of me.
They left the gacha ships but took all the other ships and even stole my reward points.
I have no resources left.
F***, how am I supposed to live now?
Ah, f***, if it weren’t for the clan, I could’ve taken him down.

By the way, I’m in charge of supply for our clan, so I have quite a few transport fleets on contract from the clan.
But this guy, seeing only those transport fleets, comes running and spouts nonsense like that.
With your pathetic fleet, it’s not even close, you moron.
Stop talking nonsense and go to sleep.

-[Your fleet looks solid]

Just because others are doing it.
Without any proper preparation, those who mindlessly try to plunder end up getting plundered themselves.

I didn’t experience it myself, but I was watching the battle happen.
It’s hard to explain, so I’ll go in chronological order.
1. B comes to plunder A’s base.
2. B succeeds in plundering and is about to return, so I thought about plundering too, but then A’s fleet appears.
3. B’s fleet gets wrecked by A and is suppressed, and all the plundered stuff gets taken.
4. But then another guy, C, shows up and backstabs A.
5. A, having taken hits from fighting B, gets beaten by C and has his resources taken.
6. And B, who was just standing there, gets beaten by C and has his stuff taken.
7. But then D shows up and ambushes A, B, and C.
8. A, B, and C all end up offering their resources to D.

It’s not like they’re doing comedy or jokes.
Situations like plundering and then getting counter-plundered(?) happen often, and it’s just bizarre.

No need for small talk, right?
Just, lately, the looting is insane, so we’re making a clan to help each other out.
If someone gets attacked by those looters, we’ll rush to help, ya know?
We’ve been through real battles multiple times, and we’ve even turned the tables on looters and looted them instead.
Newbies, we’re counting on your interest!
Comments:
– “This kinda feels like a ghetto, ngl.”
– “Do I have to move my base if I join the clan?”
– “Up to you? But it’s easier to defend if we’re together.” (Author)
– “Now people are starting to gather to stop the looting, huh?”

Just a looting-focused clan, ya know?
No need to gather or anything, just aiming to rack up reward points and climb the ranks.
Comments:
– “Damn, these looters are even making clans now, smh.”
– “Wtf.”
– “Oh, kinda tempting.”
– “Let’s gooooo!”

As I looked at the chaotic state of the gallery, where it seemed like a war of all against all was breaking out, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of complicated thoughts.
Of course, the first thought that came to mind was…
“These guys, no matter how I look at it, seem to be enjoying this situation, huh?”
That was it.
I mean, it’s clear that these guys, like me, have been mentally kidnapped and held captive by this damn game.
But just looking at them, they don’t seem like victims of mental kidnapping.
They just look like pure gaming enthusiasts, having fun.
Watching that, I felt all sorts of微妙 (subtle) emotions, but…
Regardless, I had no intention of looting or being looted.
And above all, PvP in this damn game doesn’t really lead to great outcomes anyway.
So instead of causing trouble by looting, I decided to quietly farm points and enjoy a peaceful rural farming life (?).
==========
But as the world tends to go…
Just because I’m careful doesn’t mean others will be careful or avoid causing trouble.
After seeing the state of the gallery…
Just as I shook my head and decided to focus on quests, not even 3 hours later…
“Umm… Commander?”
“What’s up?”
“There’s something I need to report.”
“Yeah?”
“An unidentified fleet is approaching our resource zone right now.”
“…”
It’s called “unidentified,” but in this game, an “unidentified fleet” is pretty much just a fleet of some unknown “user.”
Rubbing my temples at Jessica’s report, I decided to figure out exactly what was going on.
“Is it a resource fleet?”
“Not sure, the radar can’t confirm, so we’re sending a patrol ship from the area to check directly.”
“Hmm, if they’re just here to mine and don’t attack first… no need to preemptively strike.”
“Got it, Commander.”
After all, unlike the original game, the resources in the resource zone here are practically endless, like a spring that never runs dry.
So I didn’t see the need to stop others from gathering resources and decided to take a defensive stance.
But about 7 minutes after giving that order…
“Commander!!”
“What, what is it?”
“It’s the enemy! The unidentified fleet that came to the resource zone has sunk our patrol ship and is now advancing toward the resource zone!”
“…Oh damn.”
Finally realizing that even I, who was just minding my own business, was about to be visited by looters, I grumbled internally and decided to respond immediately.
