Chapter 94. Wanna be… secret friends?
Of course, it was pretty obvious that Oxianor had very limited authority to do anything for us right now.
<Revealed all secrets: +5>
<Trust level with 'Space Monster' exceeded 30!>
<30 or above> – <Can build a general monster breeding facility>
<<"Really sorry, but this is all I can do for you right now.">>
“Hmm.”
Even though it was supposed to be a reward for successfully taming (not really) the Pirate Empress (not really), it felt seriously lacking. Still, I brushed off Oxianor’s sincere apology like it was no big deal. After all, what mattered to us now wasn’t some reward Oxianor could give us…
“Then, considering the current situation, how important our Commander is…”
<<"No need to ask. I've already reported everything about this situation to Her Majesty the Queen without missing a single detail.">>
Including Oxianor’s own ‘mistakes,’ everything witnessed here was reported to the ‘Queen’ of the Monster Force. The reward that would come afterward was what mattered. Of course, as mentioned earlier, the report included Oxianor’s mistakes… even the near-collision with the ‘Pirate Empress.’ If things went wrong, Oxianor could’ve been replaced by another intelligent terminal.
I maintained a calm demeanor while showing a responsible attitude. Despite the debuffs on the trust level earlier, I was genuinely impressed by Oxianor’s efforts to protect us, doing everything possible.
“Faster than I expected, Oxianor.”
<<"Of course, since my misunderstanding caused such a commotion... it's only right that I take responsibility.">>
Even admitting it wasn’t my misunderstanding but their own, I couldn’t help but think, ‘Wow.’ I sincerely hoped this surprisingly noble (?) gentleman would live a long, long life.
==========
Anyway, we succeeded in sending a report about our situation to the Queen of Monsters through Oxianor. However, the problem was that the report included details about a ‘secret alliance’ between two factions.
<<"Currently, our neural network is overloaded and congested.">>
“Huh?”
<<"It'll probably take at least a week for the genetic information containing the data I compiled here to reach Her Majesty and then for her response to reach us.">>
“Ah.”
Hearing that it would take at least a week, I decided to visit the event shop with the points I earned from Marian’s auto-quest system (Pirate Edition). But first, since I no longer wanted to rely on my shoddy memory, I opened the gallery to check the performance of the ‘Vermouth-class Heavy Cruiser’ I had planned to buy. However, upon checking, I realized that my memory was clouded by nostalgia…

Title: Bahamut-class Artillery Heavy Cruiser Review
Author: Tekelilichan
Content: [Bahamut-class 45-degree angle image]
First off, this thing looks insanely cool, and its specs are pretty solid. It’s also quite large, so newbies often use it as their flagship when forming an expedition fleet. But there’s a catch with its performance…
The main gun has a ridiculously large caliber, but the rate of fire is trash.
Of course, each shot is stronger than your average Standard Heavy Cruiser, but the problem is, this thing is SSS-Class.
Among the same SSS-Class ships, there’s not a single one that falls short in firepower compared to a Standard Heavy Cruiser.
And as for its tanking ability, it’s superior on paper.
But, damn, this thing is designed to just hold on with its vital parts, so…
Every time it gets hit, the outer armor turns into Swiss cheese, like a sponge cake, damn it.
This is seriously bad. The ship is massive, so it can carry a lot of defensive troops inside.
But the armor itself is so trash that after a few rounds of artillery fire, the defensive troops inside just get wiped out, lol.
And the enemy can just throw a few assault pods at this sponge-cake Bahamut and eat the whole ship.
But then someone might say:
“Looking at the catalog specs, it’s pretty fast, right? Can’t it just zip around and do hit-and-run tactics?”
You might think the armor is thin because of that.
Well, in terms of settings and specs, its speed is comparable to most destroyers, yeah.
But that’s its maximum speed, and in reality, it’s only half of that half.
The only advantage of this bastard is its massive size and the fact that it’s a “Heavy Cruiser.”
You can just throw it into your resource fleet to scare off clueless noobs who try to ambush you.
Oh, by the way, it wasn’t this bad originally, but it got nerfed recently and became trash.
TL;DR:
1. Trash firepower, trash armor, trash mobility.
2. It’s just a flashy one-trick pony, a glorified large transport ship.
3. If you see someone flexing about buying this from the event shop, give them a thumbs-up.
Comments:
– [Tip post deserves a thumbs-up.]
– [It looks like some edgy middle-schooler’s battleship, but it’s pure trash.]
– [What was it like before the nerf?]
– [It was an all-rounder before, but now it’s just trash in every way.] (OP)
– [LOL]

“My Bahamut!!!”
It’s truly a sad story.
I felt a wave of sadness as I realized that the Bahamut-Class I had been eyeing had turned into a dumpster fire.
I even opened the global chat (anonymous) to ask if the tip post was wrong, but…
—————————————-
– [Guys, how’s the Bahamut-Class? Good?] (Questioner)
– [Oh, you poor thing, don’t even think about it.]
– [Hey, noob, noob.]
– [You seem new, don’t just go for something because it looks cool.]
– [It’s a pretty-looking trash, so don’t buy it.]
– [Instead, I recommend the Azuklan-Class or Kanhel-Class for practicality.]
– [He’s right, noobs shouldn’t obsess over large ships.]
– [Oh, thanks, I guess I don’t need to even look at the Bahamut.] (Questioner)
– [Goodbye.]

As soon as I asked if the Bahamut was good, a typical noob question…
The veterans rushed in, and I nodded, deciding to let her (?) go in my heart.
“Farewell, Bahamut… you’ve been nerfed into mediocrity in an era without me.”
Anyway, after wiping that half-dead trash ship from my mind…
I turned my attention to the next ships I was considering buying.

I decided to grind harder for the next week to aim for a 10-pull on that Superhuman-exclusive “gacha ticket.”
