Chapter 59

Episode 59. Among them, there were those who fixed the explanations.

“Why on earth are all the explanations like that?”

“Tell me about it.”

As the setting of a ‘secretary,’ Jessica, an administrative expert with writing and editing skills that could beat most users, was making a face as if she was about to go crazy looking at the messy ‘tip posts’ scribbled in the gallery.

If she could write in the gallery, she would probably immediately throw a fit and demand that everything be organized properly.

Fortunately, not long after, an ‘interpretation post’ about the bizarre explanations was uploaded to the gallery.

Title: Brought over a simplified version of the tip posts

Author: Wiki

Content: [Cool images of the 4 factions]

It was so messy that it was hard to read, so I just wrote it down diligently.

If you refute, you’re right.

1. Space Monsters – All-in Close Combat Meta

˪Most ships have close-range weapons, strongest in close combat and boarding.

˪Long-range is practically non-existent unless it’s a super-large monster.

˪When joining the faction, the ‘normal’ ships commanders recruit all change into monster ships.

˪Through deals with the Queen of Monsters, you can add bio-upgrades to superhumans or ships.

˪Can enhance superhumans by turning them into half-human, half-monster chimeras.

˪If quests go well, you can recruit the Queen Monster, allowing you to run a fleet without point limits, albeit small.

2. Aliens – Mobility Combat Meta

˪Ships have strong firepower and ‘shields,’ but without shields, they’re the weakest in defense.

˪Mobility is average, but lore-wise, they ‘intentionally’ move slowly, so super-large ships are actually the fastest among factions.

˪When joining the faction, you can produce alien ships by adding rare resources.

˪Progressing through alien quests can get you various additional rewards.

˪Can enhance superhumans with psychic traits or equipment upgrades.

˪Overall, resource consumption is extreme, covering for high cost and low numbers with performance.

3. Earth Federation – Long-range Quantity Meta

˪Ships are really average, but overall, they focus more on range and firepower compared to user ships.

˪Overall hexagonal performance, but because of that, super-large ships above battleships are the strongest.

˪When joining the faction, you get various quests and direct support troops.

˪Instead of enhancing superhumans or fleets, it specializes in quantity warfare with commander productivity improvements or resource collection efficiency increases.

˪Just average, ㅇㅇ, probably boring unless you’re playing with super-large ships later.

4. Pirates – Mid-Close Range Quantity Mobility Meta

˪Ship performance is the worst, inferior in every aspect compared to the other 3 factions.

˪But they’re the cheapest, good for mindless spamming, same for super-large ships.

˪Mercenaries from the ‘Mercenary Dispatch Center’ buildable at level 5 bases are from here.

˪When joining the faction, sometimes you get plundered resources or free fleets increase as pirates pushed out of faction conflicts come to your base asking for help.

˪Ship enhancement performance is bad, similar to user upgrades since it’s about spamming cheap units.

˪But superhuman enhancement is the best here, training our superhumans here is much better than elsewhere.

5. Neutral – Real Man Meta

Only real men who don’t expect any performance buffs do this.

If you’re a man, try it ㅇㅇ

Of course, I don’t, I’m not an idiot.

-[So informative]

-[Ahh, refreshing, this is what a tip post should be]

-[Last line, you bastard lolololololol]

—————————————-

“Really informative.”

“Tell me about it, I didn’t know it could be compressed like that.”

Anyway, after seeing that summary post.

I sneakily opened the status window to check how much time was left until the base construction was complete.

—————————————-

<Base Level 5 Upgrade in Progress...>

<<<Time Remaining: 4 days 23 hours 17 minutes>>>

—————————————-

‘Hmm.’

Having seen the faction summary.

I decided to first recover some of the lost resource zones within the remaining 5 days.

And adopt a ‘concentrated strategy’ to increase the resource acquisition rate for the time being.

Separately, I decided to start serious discussions with Jessica and others about which faction to choose.

Of course, since this wasn’t an urgent issue, there was no need to discuss it immediately.

But…

—————————————-

<Quest>

<Time to Choose a Faction>

<Content: The time has finally come for the Commanders to make their choice.>

<Choose the faction that suits you best and plan for future development.>

<Objective: Choose a Faction>

—————————————-

‘Sigh.’

The sudden appearance of the quest made me realize, whether I liked it or not, that it was time to start preparing.

=========

However, not long after the discussion began,

I realized I had forgotten one thing.

“The Earth Federation seems the best, right? Sometimes, a balanced all-rounder is the most excellent.”

“Hmm.”

Belial, who considers herself a balanced all-rounder, recommends the Earth Federation, which is similar in style and, ‘setting-wise,’ her place of origin.

“With alien technology, wouldn’t our and the Commander’s ships be sufficiently enhanced? Plus, we could use that technology to get better weapons…”

“Hmm.”

Given the frequent close-quarters and ship battles,

Ignis subtly harbors fantasies about alien technology.

“Tentacles…♡ I think we could have some excellent play with the Commander…♡”

“…Ugh.”

For some reason, Pashtira seems to have a thing for the Space Monster’s tentacles.

The three superhumans, each with their own distinct personalities, made it seem impossible for the meeting to make any progress.

If Marian were here, the discussion might have leaned one way or another and reached a conclusion.

Unfortunately, our Marian was busy controlling the pirates who were stepping up as a ‘faction,’ so she wasn’t present.

But even if I were to make the decision myself, considering the gallery’s opinions and the three’s suggestions, all seemed reasonable.

‘Ahhh, decision paralysis is hitting me…!’

Despite the day-long discussion, it seemed like no conclusion was in sight.

I was truly suffering from the agony of indecision.

However, this painful time came to an end thanks to Jessica’s intervention, who couldn’t stand the situation anymore.

“What are you all doing, still unable to reach a conclusion?”

Jessica, who had brought food for our meal along with the base’s resident staff,

saw the superhumans still arguing without reaching a conclusion and me, half-losing my mind at the head of the table, shaking her head and continuing.

“Commander, once the base construction is complete, a new person will wake up from hibernation, right?”

“Ah… that’s right.”

“Then, wouldn’t it be better to hear their opinion and check their style before making a choice?”

“…Hmm.”

Hearing Jessica’s words, I felt a surge of vitality.

‘Now that I think about it, she’s right? This quest doesn’t have a time limit, after all.’

Unknowingly, I had been rushing since the quest appeared,

but as Jessica said, after the base upgrade is complete,

we could wait for the new… or rather, the existing hibernating member to appear and then make a decision, which wouldn’t be a problem at all.

Thinking Jessica’s words were indeed correct, I clapped a couple of times to divert the attention of the three who had been arguing and spoke up.

“As Jessica just said, I think it’s better to wait and hear the opinion of the new comrade who will appear soon regarding this matter.”

And naturally, as the Commander, the three nodded in agreement to my words, showing they would follow along.
