Chapter 57 – Darkmtl

Chapter 57

Looking around at the suddenly changed scenery, I frowned slightly.

“…Why did you come this time?”

“Really! Stop saying such hurtful things!”

That little rascal seemed to want to act sulky, puffing out his cheeks while crossing his arms.

“Hmph!”

I sighed at the sight of him and threw my body into a nearby chair.

…Just when I managed to fall asleep, I’m interrupted and can’t even rest properly.

I glared at Lili, who was still snorting with her furrowed brow.

“…If I’m sorry, can you hurry up and say what you need?”

“Yikes! Why are you so scary all of a sudden…?”

Wanting to get this situation over with quickly, I waved my hand dismissively, causing Lili to widen her eyes and step back.

Suddenly realizing something, Lili started to tremble.

“Gasp… Could it be!”

She then pointed a finger at me.

“Are you Cheon Ha-rang?!! Hurry and return my Cheon Ha-rang to me!!”

“…”

I let out a deep sigh and rubbed my face roughly.

I was already annoyed because of that damn boy, and now this girl was acting up too…

I got up slowly from the chair.

“What, what’s this! Go away! I’m not scared at all if it’s not Cheon Ha-rang?!”

I approached Lili, who was still acting all high and mighty, and jumped up to give her a playful flick on the head.

“Ow! That hurts!”

Lili immediately squatted down, cradling her now swollen forehead and groaning.

As I stared at her with a cold gaze for a while.

Lili suddenly jumped up and began bouncing around.

“Wow! So it really was Cheon Ha-rang!”

“Tsk.”

I clicked my tongue at her antics.

Honestly… her behavior was ridiculously gloomy.

Is it even possible for a person to swell up that much?

It’s all just some dramatic play in her dreams.

If you ask me why she does such things… it’s simply to mess with me.

Whenever she comes to visit in my dreams, she usually pulls these little pranks.

Perhaps she was just trying to show some kind of friendship this time as well.

Letting out a small sigh, I sat back down in the chair and crossed my legs.

“So?”

“Oh, right! I have something urgent to tell you!”

Lili lightly tapped her head, then stuck her tongue out.

“We’re in a bit of a dangerous situation right now!”

“What?”

“There’s something going on near where Cheon Ha-rang is…”

Lili made a surprisingly gloomy face and leaned in close to my ear.

“I have a precious teammate… and it seems they’ve been caught by some wicked people who deserve to be torn apart…”

“…”

“Maybe Cheon Ha-rang should help out a little?”

With those words, Lili backed away and shot me a look.

“You can handle that much, right?”

Half-closing my eyes, I forced a grin, which was anything but pleasant.

“Well, they are our teammates, after all.”

Lili’s expression changed back to a bright smile as she focused on me.

…Whoever my teammate is that’s being chased, it’s probably Lucius and Elia.

I averted my gaze and spoke.

“Alright.”

Upon hearing my answer, Lili dropped her creepy smile, returning to a cheerful one as if nothing had happened.

“Thank you!”

-Cheon Mu-myeong

Before coming here. After hearing from an old butler about where my Master was, the old butler stopped me from rushing out and added with a gentle smile.

“He said to tell you, ‘Wait in the room first, stop wandering around and come quickly…’”

With a strangely angry tone, I entered the room anxiously, immediately bowing my head in apology.

…What was I even worried about?

Looking at my Master peacefully sleeping, I felt a wave of complicated emotions, but soon let out a sigh of relief.

…In the end, the worst situation I imagined didn’t happen.

Isn’t it better that way?

Above all, I wish I could focus on positive thoughts, but that’s not possible right now.

My Master has a habit of tossing and turning in her sleep, often shedding her clothes and bandages.

Predictably, she was once again doing just that in her sleep.

With my eyes tightly shut, I felt around the bed to grab the remembered blanket.

Got it.

Holding the blanket with both hands, I threw it toward my Master’s direction and finally opened my eyes.

Of course…

I turned my head just in case the blanket failed to land properly.

Taking a deep breath in a tense manner, I slowly turned my head to see.

“Phew…”

Fortunately, my Master’s half-exposed body was properly covered.

I patted my chest lightly, approached my Master, adjusted the blanket neatly, and backed away as if fleeing.

…It’s always on my mind, but my Master is strangely open about her body.

I really wish she’d hold back just a little.

Has my advice ever changed her behavior?

Letting out a small sigh, I laid down on the carpet, using it as a bed.

…I’m exhausted.

I feel physically tired from running a lot, but more than that, my mind is utterly worn out.

-Cheon Ha-rang

I woke up from an odd pressure covering my body, tossing and turning.

“Ugh…”

Rubbing my eyes and propping myself up, something slid off of me.

So that pressure I felt was the blanket, huh?

With an inexplicable sense of disappointment, I sighed and glanced around.

…Where did Nameless go?

Could it be that such a grown kid got lost in the castle?

Shaking my head at the thought of that clumsy Nameless, I continued to look around.

Though, I get it.

Even I had to wander around for an hour just to find this room in this huge castle where the damn kid lives.

I noticed a bandage that had loosened up on the bed and, after gathering it in my arms, stood up slowly.

“Ugh, I can’t believe I have to find that clumsy Nameless.”

As I jumped off the bed, I pondered seriously, “Where could Nameless be?”

Suddenly, something caught my eye out of the corner.

Of course, it was Nameless.

He seemed to have collapsed on the cold floor as if he was attacked by some foe while making his way to the bed.

Considering his neat posture, it seemed not to be the case.

Now, it was my turn to wonder, “Why is this kid lying here?”

Fortunately, the answer came quickly.

No doubt, he probably thought, “I can’t sleep in the same bed as my Master.” and ended up sleeping in such a place.

Clicking my tongue lightly, I approached Nameless directly.

“Seriously, you’ll hurt your back sleeping like that.”

As a man, your back is your lifeline.

I told Nameless to take care of himself for the future wife, but…

He seemed utterly uninterested as he lay on the hard floor.

Letting out a small sigh, I carefully slipped my arm under the sleeping Nameless, being cautious not to wake him.

Then, I lifted him slightly to create a small space and grabbed his arm tightly to lift him.

“Ugh…”

Things didn’t go as planned.

I guess I’m just too short compared to Nameless; his legs dragged on the ground.

Feeling embarrassed, I sighed softly.

…It would be pretty amusing if anyone saw this, but who cares?

No one’s watching, so there shouldn’t be an issue moving him.

Nodding slightly, I dragged Nameless and climbed back on the bed, carefully lowering him so he wouldn’t wake up.

“Phew…”

Fortunately, my mission seemed to have gone successfully. I could see Nameless’ chest rising and falling rhythmically, and I could hear his soft snores.

Grinning with a sense of accomplishment, I turned to the window to check the time.

Hmm, it’s still dark outside.

Looks like I can afford to catch a little more sleep.

After all, I woke up because I felt uncomfortable with the pressure on my body.

Above all,

“Hmm~”

That damn kid gave me a wonderful bed.

To explain a little….

The smooth surface and plush feel are heavenly.

If I could, I’d love to just roll around in here all day long.

But…

That’s probably not possible.

Smiling bitterly, I took a place next to Nameless and laid down.

Things will be busy starting tomorrow, so I should take advantage of this time to rest a bit more.

“Sweet dreams.”

I patted Nameless’ shoulder gently, which he wouldn’t hear, and closed my eyes.
