Chapter 354: The Qualified One

Lolan Hill stood in a small courtyard dressed in a robe with black base and white edges, looking somewhat surprised at the elderly woman before her.

“Why, is it surprising? Hehe, all these flowers and plants are planted by me,” the old woman said as she stood in the courtyard, watering the plants with a water can.

Lolan Hill had recently experimented with several potions and formulas, eventually settling on using ‘Glowing Flowers’ and golden apples, as these ingredients were readily available at the school.

She then came to Temple Academy, requesting materials from her teacher, but was told that many of these were jointly cultivated with the Holy Land and needed approval from the other side. Thus, she was directed to find the person in charge here.

Unexpectedly, Lolan Hill met Mrs. Sand here.

“What do you need so many Glowing Flowers for?” the old woman asked as they walked together through a corridor, sitting on a bench to talk.

“I need them for making potions. It’s for creating an antidote because some students have been misled,” the young lady hesitated slightly before deciding to speak directly.

“Alright,” Mrs. Sand unexpectedly agreed, surprising Lohil who had anticipated some complications.

“But, it’s still too early. It will take two weeks for this batch of new ‘Glowing Flowers’ to mature,” Mrs. Sand pointed out, gesturing towards the buds that were not yet fully open.

“The previous stock has mostly been sent to the Holy Land, so there’s nothing stored now, hence we have to wait.”

“Okay.” Although Lolan Hill was a bit anxious, she calmed down a little, but then asked again.

“Can the supernatural ability of the Nature Sequence be used to hasten their growth?”

“No, it can’t. Because Glowing Flowers are related to the Necromancer Sequence, if you want to hasten their growth, you need to find a Necromancer Sequence songstress,” Mrs. Sand shook her head.

Lolan Hill had not practiced the Necromancer Sequence before and improving it quickly would take considerable time, which made her abandon the idea of hastening the growth for now.

Seeing Lolan Hill’s concern, Mrs. Sand asked, “Is it very urgent?”

“Yes,” she nodded.

“In that case, go find Cessina. She is currently the chief of Temple Academy and might be able to help you.”

“Alright, thank you, Mrs. Sand,” Lohil stood up, bowed formally, and left to find the chief of Temple Academy.

“She’s a good child. Although Phyllia is a bit lazy, she found a good successor,” Mrs. Sand watched Lohil leave, a smile spreading across her wrinkled face.

Crossing through a small square with a clear fountain and flowers, Lolan Hill moved between halls, asking several students before reaching a small mansion built with grayish-white bricks. After knocking and pushing open the unlocked black iron gate, she entered.

A woman lay on the side of the courtyard, her face covered by a hat, breathing rhythmically. Her ample chest pushed against her dark purple dress, showing a mature allure.

After standing and waiting for a while, Lolan Hill decided to speak.

“Excuse me, are you Senior Cessina?”

The woman seemed not to hear and continued napping.

“Excuse me, are you Senior Cessina?”

“Mmm…”

She twisted her body, seemingly falling back asleep, but as she moved, the witch’s hat that had been covering her face slipped off.

“Uh…” The senior used her arm to shield herself from the sun, ready to continue sleeping. Lolan Hill had no choice but to gently shake her to wake her up.

“Ugh, I really want to keep sleeping,” her voice magnetic, Cessina slowly sat up.

“Young lady,” she looked at Lohil’s beautiful face and silver hair, trying to recall who she was.

“I am—”

“You’re Lohil, right?”

Before Lolan Hill could introduce herself, the senior answered first.

“Yes,” the young lady nodded, puzzled, wondering why they had met before.

“Ingelie mentioned you to me. She’s been busy lately, so she hasn’t been able to meet you.”

“In fact, I wanted to—” Lolan Hill started to explain, but Cessina cut her off.

“I understand, I understand. Come with me,” she stood up and led Lolan Hill out the door.

“Let’s start from here.”

“Huh?”

On their way, Cessina showed Lohil around various parts of Temple Academy, including the main clubs’ activity rooms, the student council office, warehouses, and places where staff members lived and managed. At each stop, she introduced Lolan Hill to everyone, leaving her no chance to mention her request.

“How do you feel after seeing all this?”

After the tour, they returned to the chief’s private office, sitting alone to talk.

“How do you feel?” Lolan Hill didn’t quite understand.

“It seems like there’s a lot of work,” she tried to say.

“Yes, yes, there’s a lot of work. Can you help me?”

“But—” Lolan Hill finally expressed her request.

“No problem, I’ll handle the hastening part. But during this period, you’ll have to help me with some tasks,” Cessina leaned back in her chair, stating her conditions.

“Okay,” the young lady had no choice but to agree.

Temple Academy, Starlight Cathedral.

The High Priest, dressed in a long robe with white base and gold edges, was quietly praying under the statue of an angel. A female knight clad in light silver armor entered, her appearance mature, with golden wavy hair cascading over her sturdy armor.

“High Priest, did you call for me?” the female knight stopped behind the High Priest.

“Yes, Ingelie,” he turned around, his meticulously combed golden hair slightly white under the sunlight.

“Recently, you reported on a student named Lohil,” Ingelie felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation when the High Priest spoke.

“I consulted with the Dean and Lord Sand, and they both approved. In other words,”

“She is someone trustworthy and worth cultivating,” as he said this, seeing Ingelie relax, the corners of his mouth curled into a smile.

“Try to interact more with her. Aim to have her join the Holy Land after graduation, so she can grow faster.”

“You should also know that the seals worldwide are becoming unstable. Although humans dominate the world, we have taken on the responsibility of guarding the chaotic vortex from the elves and orcs.”

“There are fewer hands available these days. Rarely do we find such qualified individuals. Perhaps she could even earn the favor of an angel and establish a contract.”

“I understand, sir,” Ingelie bowed.

“This weapon is temporarily entrusted to you. You can give it to Miss Lohil when necessary to win her over. Our Holy Land may not be wealthy, but we cannot rely solely on sentiment to attract talent. Necessary benefits must be provided, and we cannot let other organizations underestimate us.”

A magnificent and ornate staff appeared in the cathedral, its golden glow resembling the sun, reflecting colorful light under the sunlight.
