However, the Young Man was completely unfazed by the performance of the Lion.
Even with its massive, gaping maw wide enough to swallow him whole.

The cheers grew louder, clearly indicating that this young Warrior had impressive popularity, which helped hype up the atmosphere.

Airael’s gaze shifted toward him.
He indeed seemed quite remarkable; was he the target of Arthur?

Just as the Lion got ready to pounce, Cain was already at its front, sword swinging down fiercely at one of its forelegs.
Faced with danger, the Lion instinctively retreated a few steps.
This allowed it to narrowly dodge Cain’s powerful first strike.
“Roar—!”
As Cain’s body froze from the missed attack, the Lion charged back, roaring as it opened its bloody maw aiming straight for Cain.
It seemed ready to swallow him whole.
The spectators’ eyes widened at this scene.
Was the battle going to end this quickly?
At that moment, Arthur also arrived at the stands, walking toward Airael while keeping an eye on the match.
Seeing Cain in such peril, Arthur remained remarkably calm.
Cain was just as unfazed.
As the Lion prepared to engulf him, he made his move.
With a powerful upward thrust of his sword, he slashed the Lion’s jaw, opening a long wound that sprayed blood everywhere.
The Lion’s head jerked upward as a result.
Thus, Cain managed to escape danger.
Immediately after successfully landing that blow, Cain retracted his sword and swung it at the Lion’s hind leg as it rushed past him.
Another clean and precise strike, blood splattering across the nearby area.
The Lion now bore a long gash on its hind leg.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye; the previously struggling Cain had managed to inflict two shocking injuries on the Lion while in a vulnerable position.
That was undeniably thrilling.
It showcased Cain’s true strength.
“Cain! Cain! Cain!…”
Once again, cheers erupted from the stands.
In contrast, those who had supported the Lion felt utterly disheartened.
There was nothing they could do; after all, the Lion just couldn’t cut it!
Watching the surrounding fans, especially the women whose eyes sparkled with desire for Cain, Airael sighed inwardly.
Indeed, obsessive fans existed in every world and every field.
But one couldn’t deny that Cain was quite impressive.
Not only was his strength commendable, but he also had bravery and decent looks; the kind that made him a handsome guy.
Though, Airael wasn’t enamored in the least.
To be honest, Arthur was even better than Cain.
And all it took to plant the seeds for children was to find someone to do the deed.
Not to mention, her and Arthur’s beginning was entirely an accident.
Without that incident, they might have always remained in that mundane manner they once shared.
Until she uncovered the secret about Arthur or had to leave.
Throughout it all, they would have maintained a certain distance.

She had become the closest person to Arthur.
She was about to bear their child.
As the Lion and Cain crossed paths, in that instant, Cain swiftly turned around and pursued the Lion with his sword.
Seeing the approaching Cain, the agonized Lion let out a mighty roar and prepared for a head-on clash with him.

Its twisted head glared furiously at Cain.

Though the Lion was also strong, especially with its massive size granting it tremendous power, its brains were clearly lacking.
