Only then did Airael realize what Axi had been up to these past few days.

Shadow’s eyes, hidden beneath his cloak and mask, closely observed Axi.

“I will definitely uncover the truth.”

Axi replied seriously, not pretending otherwise.

After giving Axi some guidance, Shadow departed.

The room was left with only Axi and Airael.

Airael took off her cloak and flashed a charming smile at Axi, asking, “Axi, you’re not upset with me for secretly following you here, right?”

Although Airael had just shifted the blame to Axi, she was aware this was her fault.

So, she felt it necessary to boost her favorability to maintain their relationship.

Looking at the mischievous grin on Airael’s face, Axi sighed, “Let’s forget about that. Ailia, I want to ask you a question.”

“What question?”

“What’s your relationship with the Tower of the Archmage?”

Axi queried.

“Why do you ask this?”

Airael blinked her big eyes, looking innocent.

But inside, she was strategizing how to fool Axi.

She knew Shadow’s words would have raised some doubts about her identity in Axi’s mind.

And she couldn’t reveal her identity as an elf or the Elven Queen.

“Nothing, just realized I don’t know much about you.”

“But I don’t know much about you either!”

Airael replied, visibly displeased.

Axi fell silent for a moment.

That was indeed a fact.

Airael looked at Axi and proposed, “How about this? Let’s swap. I’ll tell you my connection to the Tower of the Archmage, and you answer me one question.”

Her inner thoughts were ringing like a cash register.

She had no significant connection to the Tower of the Archmage to discuss; if anything, it was more of a grievance.
