Chapter 115

Chae-a realized that Hae-un and Seoa had “run away,” and in that moment, decided to step outside the house.

After all, Hae-un and Seoa were little ones who needed protecting…

And they were her favorite younger siblings! Of course, Yuna too!

Anyway, with that thought in mind, she firmly grabbed Yuna’s hand and was about to head out to look for Hae-un and Seoa…

But there was no clue where they had gone, and confusion quickly set in.

“What do we do?”

As Chae-a struggled to think of a solution but couldn’t come up with one, Yuna suddenly had a brilliant idea.

“Why don’t we ask Somtul?”

At the mention of Somtul, they both turned their gaze to Somtul lying flat on the ground like a sticky rice cake.

Somtul stood up proudly, as if saying “trust me,” let out a cheerful “Peeek!” and began sniffing around excitedly.

“Peeek! Pee Pee!” (I’ll find them!)

It seemed Somtul was amazing enough to track Hae-un by scent alone…!

Everyone was so impressed they gasped in awe, while Somtul, now brimming with confidence, hopped up and down before leading the way outside.

“Mmmmyaahh~ Let’s gooo!”

Seoa, happy to be outside with me, giggled and sang softly beside me.

Though I wasn’t sure why she was so cheerful, seeing her happy made me smile too. Suddenly, Seoa pointed at something and tilted her head curiously.

“Hmm?”

Following her gaze, I noticed a TV playing a scene of a warm, happy family laughing together.

Thinking Seoa might want something similar, I felt a bit flustered when I noticed Spirit Master waving at us from afar.

“Oh, it’s because of Spirit Master.”

I sighed in relief, realizing what had made her so happy. After all, parents are something I can’t replace.

Awkwardly smiling, I gave Spirit Master a small bow. Just then, he approached us with a puzzled look.

“Where did your older sisters leave you two?”

“Mmm! Coooome!”

“Hehe, he’s actually a bear.”

“Aaaah!”

Spirit Master, clearly finding Seoa adorable, gently patted her head. Then I explained why we were out here alone.

“Seorin is doing an errand for us.”

“Seorin? Is that so? Then let me…”

He glanced at the documents in my hand, hesitated, then decided against taking them from me.

“Well… it’s good practice for you girls to do an errand without your sisters. The training grounds are this way, just be careful not to get lost.”

“Okay!”

“Mmm!”

“Right. And if anything happens, call me anytime.”

With repeated warnings about contacting him if anything went wrong, Spirit Master finally left. Bowing in gratitude, I held Seoa’s hand tightly and headed toward the training grounds.

* * *

On our way, we encountered many Hunters.

I bowed politely to every Hunter I recognized, thanking them for always being kind and supportive. In response, they would squeal with delight, creating a delightful yet repetitive cycle.

“Regardless, we’ve safely reached the training grounds without issues.”

Satisfied, I smiled brightly as Seoa clung to me, babbling enthusiastically like Chae-a. While waiting for Seorin to arrive, I absentmindedly stroked Seoa’s head.

Suddenly, a fierce-looking woman approached muttering under her breath.

“That must be Hunter Sung Na-yeon…”

Her intimidating appearance made me nervous, but I gripped Seoa’s hand tightly, ready for anything.

“…Hmph.”

Even Seoa sensed the tension, clinging tightly to me.

Trying to reassure her, I patted her back as Sung Na-yeon stopped in front of us.

“…”

The intimidating aura vanished, replaced by shyness.

“Hae-un, uh… hi?”

“…”

Whatever caused her embarrassment was unclear to me, but she grinned widely after I tilted my head in confusion.

“Aww, you’re so cute! How about I treat you to dessert? There’s a great shop nearby!”

Was she referring to the dessert place Han Arin once took me to?

Remembering that fond memory, I unconsciously glanced in that direction. Sung Na-yeon noticed and gleefully declared,

“Just say the word! I make good money!”

“…”

Seoa, realizing Sung Na-yeon wasn’t scary after all, peeked out from behind me and burst into giggles before latching onto her.

Watching Seoa’s incredible charm at work, I marveled silently as Sung Na-yean collapsed onto the ground.

“Sky Mountain?”

Did becoming a Hunter require some sort of slapstick comedy class?

Amused by her reaction, I chuckled until I noticed Seorin sneaking out of the training grounds.

“Over here!”

Seeing her, I happily called out. Initially acting similarly to Sung Na-yeon, Seorin quickly composed herself upon noticing her watching.

“Hmph.”

“Did Hae-un and Seoa come?”

Judging by her Han-Arin impression, Seorin must admire her greatly.

Chuckling at this revelation, I ran over as Seorin affectionately patted our heads.

“Thanks for bringing the documents. Though I’d love to escort you back, I’m swamped right now.”

She certainly looked busy. Normally neat even after tough training, today her hair was messy, and her condition didn’t look great.

Worried, I offered her a candy from my pocket. Her expression softened immediately as she smiled warmly.

“Thanks to you, Hae-un, I can keep going!”

Then she pulled us into a tight hug, rubbing her cheeks against ours. Seoa giggled and said “Coom!”

We enjoyed this brief moment of happiness until Sung Na-yeon cleared her throat nearby and made a suggestion.

“Uh… I know. It’s dangerous to send the kids back alone, so maybe I could escort them?”

Seorin pondered this briefly but ultimately trusted Sung Na-yeon to take care of us, thanked her, and left.

I watched Sung Na-yeon pretending to be casual but clearly thrilled, tilting my head in amusement.

* * *

“I’ll buy you whatever you want!”

Sung Na-yeon trailed behind us, repeatedly offering to buy us anything we desired. She seemed eager to bond but unsure how.

As I chuckled at this, she turned to me with a question.

“Hae-un? I have a small favor to ask…”

Her tone revealed her nervousness. Looking up curiously, she shyly continued.

“Um… If it’s not too much trouble or inconvenient… Would you consider giving me a hug?”

It wasn’t an unreasonable request, but it was embarrassing enough to make me hesitate.

Before I could respond, Seoa stepped forward confidently, hugged her, and smiled sweetly.

“Coom!”

This seemed more than enough for Sung Na-yeon, who carefully returned the embrace, radiating happiness.

Just then, a panicked voice echoed in the distance.

“Kidnapper! Give back Haeuni and Seoa!”

“It’s candy time if you give them back!”

It was Chae-a and Yuna.

Realizing Sung Na-yeon wasn’t a kidnapper, I frantically waved my hands to signal this, but they didn’t seem to notice, rushing over dramatically.

“Chae-a gets scary when mad…”

“And Yuna too!”

Sung Na-yeon stared at the two approaching figures with wide eyes, looking terrified. On the verge of tears, she collapsed onto the ground.
