[TS] Became a Peach Saint – Chapter 192

Swish!

The Red Skeleton, moving at lightning speed, swings its rib sword, and the deer’s neck falls straight to the ground.

A clean, hesitation-free slash. Even killer robots would be jealous.

Ding!

1. Han Ga-eul: 100P

2.

3.

4.

5.

A name is etched onto the status board.

At the same time, the eyes of the players reading the quest window simultaneously turn toward me.

Their gazes are filled with malice and greed.

“What are you looking at, brats?”

I wonder how much they know about the tower I just took my first step into, but judging by their stares, one thing is clear.

Here, you have to step on others to climb higher.

I don’t know how the rules and covenants Haetnimu mentioned work, but this place fundamentally operates on the logic of strength.

Ding!

1. Han Ga-eul: 101P

The Red Skeleton catches another deer, and my points go up by one.

Now it’s clear what the first tutorial wants.

◇Acquiring a Player Mark: Gain 100P

Upon death, players lose all points and respawn at the starting point.

If it weren’t for me, the field boss, which looks just like a regular deer and is hard to find, would be worth 100 points.

For a field boss, it got sliced by a skeleton’s sword strike, so I’m not sure how strong it really is, but one thing’s for sure—it’s vicious.

In a quest time of barely three hours, a regular deer is worth 1 point, and a human is worth 100 points.

—Click, click.

“Phew—”

Especially the phrase about dead players losing their points feels off.

“Consumption” and “destruction” are different words. The fact that it’s specifically written as “consumption” means there’s a place where it’s consumed.

Though it’s phrased indirectly, their stares tell me what that place is—absorption and merging.

Even if some players don’t fully understand, they definitely know one thing: killing others lets you step over them and rise.

So, in the end, it’s all about encouraging murder, and the result is the same.

“Come at me if you’re mad.”

The players are all glaring at me from the starting point.

Here, that’s the right thing to do.

The term “beginner hunting ground” and the sight of deer peacefully grazing in front of them—anyone who thinks this is easy must have flowers for brains.

It’s a nasty test full of wordplay and deception.

Clink.

As I stand up, the skeletons covered in deer blood glance at me before going back to their tasks.

The sight of red skeletons dripping sticky blood through their bones is something I wouldn’t even want to see in a dream.

“Phew—”

I wonder how they’ll come at me.

All they know is that I suddenly gained 100 points, putting me in first place, and that the skeletons gain 1 point every time they kill a deer.

Will they attack the human who punched an angel of unknown strength right in front of them?

“That witch-like woman’s skeletons are far away. Let’s gang up on her now.”

The swordsman who approached me earlier and got rejected seems to have taken the lead.

After he spouts a few more words, everyone nods in agreement. He’s got the makings of a rabble-rouser.

Tick.

I stomp out the cigarette I dropped, and a puff of smoke rises. As the smoke dissipates with the wind, the crushed butt spits out a nicotine-soaked filter like a chestnut.

—Click, click.

“Phew—”

Ping!

Having made up their minds, they draw their weapons.

There’s strength in numbers.

What’s even more impressive is that in such a short time, he’s rallied twenty out of fifty people.

“Let’s go! I’ll take the lead!”

—Whoa!!

They charge at me, roaring like they’re facing a life-or-death enemy, brandishing their menacing weapons.

“Am I the Demon King or something?”

Whack!

**〈Summon Followers〉**

Crunch!

A bony hand bursts out of the ground, and three Red Skeletons are added.

[Red Metal Skeleton (Minion) – Infused with Madness]

[Shadow (Minion)]

○Regeneration

Level: 9

The shadow condenses into a small, grim reaper-like figure, about twice the size of Baekseol.

Though the inside of the robe is pitch black, hiding its face, you can tell it’s grinning with amusement.

Whether it’s a good or bad thing, even as undead, they all have outstanding personalities.

“Shadow, stick to that guy.”

“Kik.”

Leaving behind a mischievous laugh, the Shadow disappears into the shade of a tree as if melting into it.

While everyone’s attention is focused here, one player is sneakily slipping away, keeping a low profile.

Something’s off. A foul stench fills the air.

Amidst this, the players who were charging forward freeze in panic upon seeing the newly emerged skeletons.

“Since they’re just a bunch of amateurs, give them a spicy taste of sword work.”

Clack, clack, clack!

Three blood-red Skeletons, as if soaked in blood, charge forward with blazing crimson flames.

“Ahhh!!”

“You said there were no skeletons, you lunatic!”

“Yeah, you go first!”

Twenty players are thrown into chaos by just three Skeletons.

Amidst the chaos, is there still a hero? One swordsman steps forward, gripping a greatsword, and slams it down on the Red Skeleton with all his might.

“Huahp!”

Clang!!

The sharp metallic clang of iron meeting iron echoes across the wide plains.

“…Huh?”

“That’s a bulletproof skull.”

Clack, clack, clack.

The swordsman stares blankly at his broken, dangling wrist as the Skeleton’s bone sword falls onto his head.

Ding!

1. Han Ga-eul: 231P

2. Kim Cheol-su: 14P

3. Fenix Emberdale: 5P

4. Rohem Cromerf: 3P

5. Gwak Su-jeong: 2P

“Gasp! Gasp!”

A massive rocky canyon, out of place in the plains, appears before Kim Cheol-su, who’s running so hard his breath reeks of blood.

Though the sight is clearly unnatural, Kim Cheol-su moves his hands as if he’s familiar with the place.

“Quick, quick!”

As Kim Cheol-su frantically moves his hands and presses against the rocks, the entire canyon begins to tremble slightly.

Grind, grind!

The vibrating rocks split apart, creating a massive entrance.

Kim Cheol-su hurriedly steps inside.

The cave is bright, illuminated by sunlight streaming through holes in the ceiling, making the surroundings clearly visible.

With a pale face, Kim Cheol-su finally lets out a deep sigh of relief as he enters the cave.

“Crazy… What the hell was that skeleton?”

He thought he just had to retrace a familiar path, but there was an unexpected variable.

No matter how much he racked his brain, it was someone he had never seen before his regression.

Shaking off the flood of thoughts, Kim Cheol-su walks toward the spot where the sunlight is most concentrated.

There, a shining golden cup rests on a rock.

“Ha… Haha!”

Kim Cheol-su lifts the golden cup with trembling hands, letting out a sound that could be either a sigh or a laugh.

“I can’t believe this is in my hands!”

He couldn’t contain his overflowing joy.

After climbing the tower over and over, he stumbled upon a treasure map.

He firmly believed it would change his miserable life and spent decades chasing it. Finally, he deciphered it, but the compass pointed to the Tutorial floor.

A Tutorial that not only provided no information but also violated the tower’s rules. Despair was his first reaction.

But it was a misunderstanding. The map actually pointed to two treasures. Thanks to the first treasure, he’s now here.

He finally managed to make it all the way up.

Kim Cheol-soo, who had smiled at the golden cup in his hand, took out the leather pouch hanging from his waist.

“This item alone is of hero-grade quality, powerful enough to dominate an era. But…”

Glug, glug.

The bright red blood pouring out of the leather pouch began to fill the golden cup.

“If you pour the blood of a deer, obtainable only in the first tutorial field, into the hidden golden cup, the hidden piece will be completed.”

As the blood slowly filled the cup, a golden light burst forth, enveloping the inside of the cave.

“Finally, it’s complete. A legendary-grade item surpassing the hero-grade!”

“Krik.”

“Huh?”

At the strange sound and the presence behind him, Kim Cheol-soo quickly turned his head, but something cold and metallic touched his cheek even faster.

Though his head was forcibly stopped mid-turn, he could still catch a glimpse.

“A mask…!!”

He couldn’t see clearly, but the figure behind him was definitely wearing something resembling a mask.

His body blended into the surroundings.

Shadow kept sending signals, so I set the skeletons to auto-hunt and followed. When I arrived, the guy started acting strange.

Is he trying to mate with a giant rock or something? He’s been hugging and stroking it for minutes now.

‘Rock lover? Weird taste?’

I thought I’d lived a normal life, but now I’ve seen it all.

Creak, creak!

As if the rock had accepted him, it suddenly began to open.

After waiting a bit longer, a bright light started seeping out from inside the cave.

Quietly and cautiously entering the cave, I saw the man who had been hugging the rock now holding what looked like a large cup.

As I approached from behind and pressed the iron rod I brought from the tutorial waiting room against his cheek, his body stiffened.

“Hey. If you don’t want to die, keep looking forward.”

“Are you… from the Hwalbindang?”

I have no idea what nonsense he’s spouting.

Just in case, I used the Immortal mask I bought from the general store and deepened my voice, but Hwalbindang? That’s a new one.

Maybe there’s a Hong Gil-dong living in the tower, but the guy looks so serious that I feel like I should play along.

“You’re sharp. I’m a righteous thief.”

“Have you been tailing me all this time?”

“You catch on quick. Then you must know you need to hand over that chamber pot in your hands, right?”

“Grr…! After all I’ve done to get here!”

He’s gripping the item so tightly that veins are popping on his arm.

He looks so pitiful that I feel like I should let him go quickly.

“Support Magic.”

“Ah, no!”

“Sleep.”

Whack!

“Ugh.”

As I smacked the back of his head, he face-planted onto the ground.

─Click, click.

“Phew─ What’s all this fuss about?”

At first glance, it’s just a fancy, large, flat cup.

Though its size seems to easily exceed 1,000cc, making it more like a washbasin.

“Is this an onahole?”

Ding!

───

[Holy Grail of Life]

Grade: Legendary

───

There are no options or descriptions.

“Hmm.”

Usually, a holy grail is used to hold holy water.

But since it’s legendary-grade, there must be something to it.

Ding!

[The first tutorial has ended]

[You will be moved to the rest room shortly]

2. Rose: 5,003P

3. Benjamin Foster: 664P

4. Kwak Soo-jeong: 494P

5. Hana Mitsuki: 320P

──

While examining the Holy Grail, a scoreboard pops up, indicating that the first tutorial has ended.

Even though only three were released, the insane skeletons have sliced up the player enough to rack up over ten thousand points.

Even if you exclude the special deer that were barely visible, it means they’ve sliced through over a hundred.

Sure, I might be in first place because of the skeletons, but the second-place ranking has a pretty impressive score too.

“Hmm.”

Wait a bit longer, and I feel my body floating as I’m transported somewhere.

Seeing a bed and blankets in what looks like a five-pyeong space, this must be the rest room.

Everything’s fine, but they just moved me here without any additional explanation.

I think the angel mentioned that I could use points to exchange for items, but I have no idea how to do it.

“Angel.”

[The tutorial angel refuses the call.]

“What the?”

They’re rejecting me every second.

Even I might end up with a wounded heart at this rate.

“Angel.”

[The tutorial angel refuses the call.]

“You better come, or you’re dead.”

[The tutorial angel is overcome with fear.]

They could at least tell me where to spend the points, but it seems I’ve hit them too hard.

When the 8th-grade red skeletons were active, it was fine, but when the 9th-grade shadow used its ability, I could feel my energy draining.

I need to quickly get mana-related items with these points, but the angel isn’t helping.

“I’m hungry!”

Baekseol, who was sleeping in my pocket, pokes her head out.

“Did you sleep well, Pposiraegi?”

“Yes!”

“Then, shall we eat ramen?”

“Sure!”

Baekseol, who put her head back in, seems to be rolling around in my pocket.

She looks happy, probably because she slept well.

“Wouldn’t this taste amazing if we cooked it?”

“Yes!”

I stroke Baekseol’s head as she pokes it out again, and she closes her eyes tightly.

Seems like she’s playing a game of popping her head in and out of the pocket.

Giggle.

Placing the Holy Grail of Life on a portable gas burner and filling it with water, it looks pretty decent.

The opening is wide enough to perfectly fit a ramen pot.

After adding the seasoning and waiting a bit, the water starts boiling, filling the small room with the delicious smell of ramen.

“Baekseol, let’s eat.”

“Excited!”

As I scoop up some broth for Baekseol, it strangely glimmers.

“Huh?”

Slurp.

Tasting it with the ladle, it doesn’t feel much different from regular ramen.

“Whoa, is this the broth of life…?”

[The tutorial manager requests a visit.]

They didn’t come when I called, but now they’re making a fuss.

“I’m eating. Come later.”

[The tutorial manager requests a visit.]
