[TS] Became a Peach Saint – Chapter 56

[One chest! One chest! One chest!]

[Just the audio feels like a video lololol]

“Our character side will take some time, so what would you like to do?”

“Today, I came for a tour, so I’ll come back when I’m ready.”

“Let’s do that. Oh, can I take some photos for our modeling preparation?”

“Yes, that’s fine.”

After striking poses and taking photos, I prepared to leave, casting a lingering, regretful glance at the director.

“I’ll escort you out.”

“It’s okay. I’ll go alone while chatting with the viewers.”

“Oh, I see. Then, take care on your way. See you next time.”

“Yes, take care, Director and Director. Fighting!”

After exchanging goodbyes, I stepped out of the TG Building and slipped my phone into the mount.

[Wow, outside!]

[I thought I was gonna suffocate to death]

“Kids. You worked hard.”

While chatting with the viewers, I walked toward the taxi stand.

[Lololol So the filming got postponed?]

“Yeah. No, it’s not postponed, but isn’t this normal? It’s not normal to shoot an ad in one day.”

[Lololol Our Bangjang might go crazy if they see this]

[What are you gonna do now?]

“Why are you asking me? Are you crazy?”

[????????]

[Ah, this taste lolololol]

[Mmm, this familiar, annoying taste… definitely our Bangjang’s flavor]

The viewers seemed used to my nonsense by now.

“But don’t you think I’m broadcasting too mindlessly?”

[Nah, your face is the concept]

[Lolololol True, but just seeing Bangjang’s face and hearing their voice makes the world fun]

“Even though I’m a versatile broadcaster, most other broadcasters have at least one concept, like gaming or mukbang. But what about me? What kind of broadcaster am I?”

[Why are you asking us lolololol]

[You did cooking, gaming, went to the military… you’re pretty unique lololol]

[Do you have to follow trends? Bangjang is refreshing and great]

[Ding!]

[Absentee Cover donated 1,000 won]

[Are your eyes going through puberty?]

“Hmm. Guys, the concept… seems dead already. Let’s have a content meeting. Throw out some ideas.”

[Lolololol You’re the living concept and breathing content]

“Hold on, the taxi’s here. Keep thinking of ideas.”

[How about “Johnjakwon”?]

[What’s “Johnjakwon”?]

[It’s a “Johnjakwon,” a ridiculously small wish ticket]

[I’m gonna lose my mind lolololol]

While chatting with the viewers, I caught a taxi that had stopped at the stand and headed home.

“Driver, I might chat with my viewers while broadcasting. Is that okay?”

“Yes, of course. That’s fine.”

“Thank you.”

After getting in the taxi and fastening my seatbelt, I checked my phone, and the viewers were still throwing out ideas.

[Another cooking stream?]

[Ding!]

[Red Parade donated 1,000,000 won]

[How about cosplay?]

[Oh, that sounds good]

“Got anything more original?”

[Where do you find originality these days? It’s harder to find something that hasn’t been done]

[For real lolol Everything’s the same]

[Training with the special forces unit was the most original]

[Lololololololol]

Even after listening to their opinions, nothing really stood out.

[Let’s play a new game, come on!]

[Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of VTubers.]

[Stop being a jerk, Han, and just open the damn copyright-free bread already.]

While discussing content ideas with the viewers, a voice suddenly came from ahead.

“We’ve arrived.”

“Thank you. Drive safely.”

Before getting out of the taxi, I told the viewers I’d switch to my computer, ended the stream, and headed up to the rooftop room.

“Whew—Status Window!”

[Ding!]

[Remaining Balance: 4.34 million won]

After settling the money piled up on Triple Net while smoking in the yard, I had 4.34 million won left.

“Master, I’m hungry.”

“4.24 million won left. Did our little Pposiraegi swallow a black hole or something?”

I lifted Baekseol, who was perched above me, with my palm, and she flopped down, showing her belly as if to say she was starving.

After rubbing Baekseol’s belly with my finger, I bought her a flower and gave it to her. She then jumped up onto my shoulder.

“Is that really the dining table?”

“Yeah.”

Blowing out cigarette smoke, I fiddled with my phone. New games, VTubers, mukbangs, cooking streams, wish tickets—I skimmed through the various chats the viewers had shared.

“Hmm…”

The only somewhat fresh idea was VTubers, but looking into it, the price for a one-time event was insane.

“Damn, an avatar costs 10 million won?”

Among popular VTubers, it wasn’t uncommon to see people pouring hundreds of millions into it. Digging deeper, I found that costs ranged from tens of thousands to seemingly endless amounts of money.

If I wanted to do it cheaply, I could use facial recognition on my phone and buy a 50,000 won public avatar, but full-body tracking equipment, including peripherals, easily exceeded 2.5 million won.

“Baekseol, should I do this or not?”

“Master, do what you want.”

Buying new equipment just to use it briefly seemed like too much of an expense, so I checked out the second-hand market.

[Full VR set for sale, full tracking OK]

I’m selling because VR motion sickness got to me. Barely used. Like new. 2 million won.

Times have changed, and VR gear has become more common. There were surprisingly many listings on the second-hand market. As I scrolled through the posts, one caught my eye, and I immediately called.

“Hello, I saw your post on the second-hand market.”

– Yes, hello. The product is in perfect condition. Are you planning to buy?

“Yes. I’ll transfer the money right away. Is the equipment heavy? I don’t have a car.”

– It’s quite heavy for a woman to carry, and there’s a lot of gear. If you’re okay with a smooth transaction, I can deliver it to you.

“That would be great. I’m not looking to haggle. I’ll buy it right away.”

– Just send me the address, and I’ll head over now.

“Thank you. See you soon.”

I sent the location where I’d sold some items from my house to unlock the shop, and the seller messaged me on the second-hand app that they’d arrive within 10 minutes.

Just in case, I put on a mask and hat.

“Baekseol, I’ll be back soon. Stay home for a bit, okay?”

“I want to come with you.”

“I’ll be back in 10 minutes.”

After calming down Baekseol, who clung to me, I headed to the meeting spot. Since it was near my house, it didn’t take long to arrive. I lit a cigarette…

I waited and waited, and finally, the seller arrived.

“Hello. Are you from the second-hand market?”

“Yes, I’m the buyer.”

“Please check the items.”

Inside the bag handed by the seller were several pieces of equipment that were heavier than expected.

“Do I have to use all this stuff for tracking to work?”

“That’s just the bare minimum. There won’t be any issues with usage, but if the trackers bounce around because the room is too big, you might need to buy additional base stations. If you want more freedom in movement, you can add more trackers as you go.”

“Ah, thank you.”

After handing the money to the seller and bringing the equipment home, Baekseol greeted me.

“Master.”

“Hey. Thanks for holding down the fort.”

“Yep.”

I patted Baekseol, who snuggled up to me, and sat down at the computer. I felt like I forgot something. I quickly turned on the broadcast, and the viewers were going wild.

[You said you’d turn it on right away!!]

“Ah, right.”

[LOL, oh right?]

[Yo, are we umbrellas or something?]

[LOL, this is ridiculous]

“Listen up, you brats. It’s all because I love you guys.”

[Hehe, the room master’s love]

[LOL, this is so absurd]

“Alright. Time to unleash the ultimate move to calm the crowd.”

[Ooooh, something big coming?]

[Is it coming? Is it coming?]

Watching the viewers flip out at every word, I played a song.

[Ah, the bunny song, come on LOL]

[Room master, nursery rhymes are a win LOL]

As I slowly sang along to the bunny song I used to sing before, Baekseol, who had been rolling around above my head, scurried down onto the desk.

Every time I sang, Baekseol’s little ears perked up, and her head bobbed, making it look like she was dancing to the beat.

【Hop, hop, where are you going~】

After giving Baekseol a pat as she danced along to my voice, I finished the song.

[Ah, even a nursery rhyme sounds magical when the room master sings it LOL]

[From now on, Baekseol is the room master]

[So cute LOL, how is a baby bunny so smart?]

Seeing the good vibes in the chat, I made a comment.

“Thanks for watching today’s broadcast. See you next time. Bye-bye.”

[???????]

[Yo, you crazy girl LOL]

[Hey, tell Baekseol to do the broadcast after you leave]

[Ding!]

[Red Parade has sponsored 1,000,000 won]

[For Baekseol’s snacks]

“Wow, Baekseol. The chairman got you some snack money.”

Hearing my words, Baekseol flapped her front paws toward the screen.

[Seeing Baekseol makes me smile so much my cheeks hurt LOL]

[LOL, so adorable]

“Thanks, Red. See you next time.”

[Yo, crazy girl, the sun’s still up, where are you going?]

[Not tomorrow, but next time?]

“I didn’t broadcast for long, but I went to TG and stuff. I’m tired.”

[That’s true LOL]

[Take a break and turn on the evening broadcast later, we can’t breathe without the room master]

“I’ll see how I feel and maybe turn it on. Bye-bye.”

[Bye-bye]

[BB]

<Lady Han Ga-eul has ended the broadcast>

After ending the broadcast, I spread out the VR equipment I bought from the second-hand trade, and it was so complicated that my head hurt.

I got dizzy.

Sighing, I looked up the instructions online and followed them step by step. The installation itself wasn’t that complicated.

The only saving grace was that the expensive webcam I bought, loaded with options, had facial tracking.

For basic triple-net streaming, a torso tracker and facial tracker were standard. But for full-body avatar games where you buy a VR avatar and move your whole body, you had to wear trackers all over.

“Baekseol, help me pick one out.”

“Okay.”

After roughly getting the hang of the basic flow of a VTuber, I browsed the site to buy an avatar. 2D avatars ranged from 50,000 won for public ones to at least 500,000 won, going up to millions for private ones.

“I can’t afford 3D. It’s ridiculously expensive.”

Most 3D avatars were custom-made, and even those started at a few million won.

“Why are we picking this out?”

“It’s like playing with dolls. Pick one you like.”

“This one.”

Baekseol pointed to an avatar with pink hair similar to mine, but the problem was the price. Unlike public avatars, this was a private one sold to only one person. The price? 2 million won.

“The quality is good, but the price is insane.”

It was a package that included both game avatars you could control online and streaming avatars for broadcasts.

“Do you really like this one?”

“Yep.”

Looking at Baekseol, it seemed she picked it more for the pink color resembling mine rather than the quality.

“Since Baekseol picked it, I’ll buy this one.”

After paying on the site and downloading the file, I quickly set it up following the included manual.

“Done.”

On the screen, the character blinked and moved its head as I moved.

“Feels like I’ve opened my eyes to a new world.”

“It moves with its owner.”

“Right. It’s like a doll that follows me.”

Baekseol, fascinated, tilted her head left and right, mimicking the avatar.

“Baekseol, come here.”

I picked up Baekseol, who was blocking the screen, and after some thought, decided to do a test broadcast before showing it to viewers. I created a triple-net sub-account and started streaming.

[Winter has started streaming.]

<Newbie Virtual Streamer here ^v^>

(Viewers: 0)

After starting the stream and waiting for over 30 minutes, not a single viewer showed up.

“Was I a popular streamer in the real world, only to be a zero-viewer rookie in this world?”
